식물세포 배양으로부터 Peroxidase 대량 정제를 위한 전처리 공정 개발 (A New large-scale Pre-purification for Peroxidase from Plant Cell Cultures)

  • 식물세포배양으로부터 peroxidase를 대량 생산하기 위한 분리/정제 공정 으로서 세포를 파쇄하고 크로마토그래피 전처리로서 활성백토를 적용하였다. 활성백토는 미세한 세 포 조각 뿐만 아니라 여려가지 불순불을 선택적으로 흡착 하는 성질을 나타내었으며, 이를 통하여 효과적으로 정제 공정을 진행할 수 있었다 흡착을 통한 전처리 후 한외여 과장치를 이용하여 농축을 실시 하였으며, DEAE-Sepharose F FF를 이용한 크로마토그래피를 통해 정제가 이루어졌다. 활성을 나타내는 용액을 탈염, 농축 후 동결 건조하였다. 이 공정은 상업화에 필요한 대량 정제를 가능하게 하였으며 수율과 정제비용 측면에서 상당히 경제적인 공정임을 입증하였다, 활성백토를 이용한 흡착공정은 다른 효소 및 단백질의 경제적인 대량정제에 적용될 수 있으리라 기대된다.

  • 멀티미디어 스트림은 일반적으로 용량이 크고, 서로 다른 미디어간의 통기화가 필요하며, 실시간으로 재생되어져야 한다는 특징이 있다. 그러므로 VOD 서버에 관계된 연구는, 궁극적으로 디스크 대역폭이나 버퍼의 크기 등 서버의 주어진 자원 한계 아래에서 얼마만름 사용자의 수를 최대화 하느냐에 주된 관심이 되고 있다. 똔 논문에서는 멀티 캐스팅 환경에서 서버의 자원을 동적으로 모니터하고 관리하여 효율적으로 서비TM를 할 수 있는 버퍼 관리정책을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션 해본결과 전통적인 방식보다 버퍼의 활용과 QOS의 변동에서 약 23% 정도 향상된 성능을 보였는데, 이는 서비스 사용자의 수를 증가 시키는 문제와 밀접한 관련이 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 이동 무선망에서 무단절 통신을 제공하는 효율적 인 방법을 제안한다. 무단절 통신의 목표는 이동 사용자에게 단절 자유서비스를 제공하는데 있다. 서비스의 단절은 활동적인 랜드오프에 의해 발생된다. 이동 무선망에는 단절 자유 서비스에 대한 완전 보장을 요구하지 않으나 아주 빈번한 단절을 허용치 않는 많은 사용자 응용들이 있다. 본 논문에서는 단절 자유 서비스에 대한 확률적 보장을 제공하는 확장된 지연 멀티캐스트를 제안한다. 제안하는 멀티캐스트에서는 이동 호스트의 속도와 방향을 예측하고, 그러한 정보를 기초로 모든 이웃 셀이 아닌 그 이동 호스트가 핸드오프 할 가능성이 있는 일부 이웃 셀에게만 지연 멀티캐스트가 가능하다. 따라서 확장된 지연 멀티캐스트 방법은 정적 네트워크 대역폭 사용을 상당히 감소시키고 또한 단절 자유 서비스에 대한 확률적 보장을 제공한다.

  • 센서네트워크에서 효율적인 에너지사용에 관한 클러스터 기반 라우팅 프로토콜이 다양하게 연구되고 있다. 하지만 기존의 클러스터 기반의 라우팅 프로토콜은 클러스터 재구성에 있어 센서 노드들의 불균형적인 에너지 소비문제와 클러스터 헤더를 선정함에 있어 헤더 노드와 싱크 노드가 멀리 떨어져 있을 때 연결이 제대로 이루어지지 않는다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 클러스터의 재분할과 헤더 노드의 멀티 홉 전송방식을 제시한다. 클러스터 재분할은 기존의 클러스터를 소규모의 클러스터로 재분할하는 방식이고, 멀티 홉 전송방식은 헤더 노드들 사이의 중계전송에 관한 방식이다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제시한 라우팅 기법이 균등한 에너지 소비와 에너지 효율성에 있어서 기존의 라우팅 기법보다 우수함을 보인다.

  • While the environment of usage of information and technology is getting stable and technology is being developed more deeply due to the globalization, making information, standardization, in order to make a fast response to the new industry strategy and business environment, mutual communication and management of correct and fast information are focused on as fundamental elements of keeping competitive power. Accordingly strategic development of urban transit operation organization, storage of information technology of urban railroad, and buildup of standard information infra are very important, so that computerized information system has been built up standardizing efficient maintenance framework of urban transit facilities. To maintain these facilities efficiently, storing the real-time information by standardizing the maintenance organization and building up computerized information system are very important with management of information history of existing maintenance work. Therefore, for the efficient maintenance of civil facilities among urban transit facilities, standardized facilities classification and definition of management elements, and the plan of designing and building standardized database about civil facilities through standardizing technology resources are described in this paper.

The Influence of Regulatory Focus on Consumer Responses to Smart Home Services for Energy Management

  • Smart homes have become the state of the art in the reduction and monitoring of energy usage within a residential setting. Emerging threats such as climate change, global warming and volatility in energy prices have fuelled the interest in smart systems. Given that environmental sustainability has become a more significant factor for consumers, this research examines whether consumers' attitudes toward smart home services for efficient energy management differ according to their regulatory focus. Specifically, it is predicted that consumers will have more favorable attitudes toward smart home services for efficient energy management when they are promotion-focused (vs. prevention-focused). The results indicate that respondents with a promotion (vs. prevention) focus reported significantly more favorable attitudes toward smart home services for energy management (e.g., smart cooling/heating system, smart ventilation & air conditioning system, smart thermostats, smart plugs, and smart switches). We suggest that regulatory focus may be an effective marketing and segmentation tool in promoting smart home services for energy management and facilitating their receptiveness to the services.

  • Background and Objective : Recently it is true that increasing interest in Oriental medicine and usage of herbal medicine. On the other hand, there are many concerns about the stability of herbal medicine. So, this study is carried out to see whether or not the treatment with Sanghan-Bang(傷寒方) is effective on the liver function besides its effectiveness in treating facial palsy. Methods : We examined serum TP, Albumin, TB, AST, ALT, ALP, LDH, ${\gamma}$-GGT levels, and facial palsy states in 37 patients with facial palsy who had admission treatment in an oriental medical hospital. Results and Conclusion : 1. We found the levels of TP, albumin, TB, and ${\gamma}$-GGT had decreased statistically significant. Also, AST, ALT, LDH and ALP levels had decreased however it was not statistically significant. 2. We analyzed the herbal group that may be efficient to the liver function; Daehwang-Jae(16 case), Injin-Jae(12 case), and Chija-Jae(6 case) in this order. 3. From the eight cases using oriental medicinal concoctions using one of Daehwang, Injin-Jae or Chija as their main component, the liver function test results displayed decreasing values, re-entering into normal LFT ranges. 4. As we compared the admission House-Brackmann Scale with discharge, the treatment was efficient and statistically significant.

  • A cloud computing system can be characterized by the provision of resources in the form of services to third parties on a leased, usage-based basis, as well as the private infrastructures maintained and utilized by individual organizations. To attain the desired reliability and energy efficiency in a cloud data center, trade-offs need to be carried out between system performance and power consumption. Resolving these conflicting goals is often the major challenge encountered in the design of optimization strategies for cloud data centers. The work presented in this paper is directed towards the development of an Energy-efficient and Performance-aware Cloud System equipped with strategies for dynamic switching of optimization approach. Moreover, a platform is also provided for the deployment of a Wind Farm CMS (Condition Monitoring System) which allows ubiquitous access. Due to the geographically-dispersed nature of wind farms, the CMS can take advantage of the cloud's highly scalable architecture in order to keep a reliable and efficient operation capable of handling multiple simultaneous users and huge amount of monitoring data. Using the proposed cloud architecture, a Wind Farm CMS is deployed in a virtual platform to monitor and evaluate the aging conditions of the turbine's major components in concurrent, yet isolated working environments.
