보육교사의 직무 소진, 임파워먼트가 행복플로리시에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Job Burnout and Empowerment on the Flourishing of Child Care Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 보육교사의 직무소진, 임파워먼트, 행복플로리시 간의 상관관계와 직무소진과 임파워먼트가 행복플로리시에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 알아보고자 하였다. 서울, 경기, 전남 지역의 보육교사 296명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 자료처리는 SPSS 21.0을 이용하여 상관 분석과 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 직무소진은 임파워먼트 및 행복플로리시와 유의미한 부적상관을 보였고 임파워먼트는 행복플로리시와 유의미한 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 보육교사의 행복플로리시에 미치는 상대적인 영향력은 임파워먼트가 직무소진보다 높았고, 하위요인별로 미치는 영향력은 임파워먼트의 지위, 전문성, 자율성, 자아효능감 요인과 직무소진의 직무환경 불만족 요인 순이었다. 이 같은 결과는 보육의 질 제고를 위한 기초자료를 제공했다는 점에서 시사하는 바가 있으며, 보육교사의 행복플로리시 증진을 위해 직무소진을 낮추고 임파워먼트를 높일 수 있는 효율적인 방안, 즉 직무 환경의 개선, 보육교사의 지위와 자율성 보장, 전문성 함양을 위한 지원 강화 등이 모색되어야 할 것이다.

어린이집 조직특성이 교사효능감에 미치는 영향 - 교사경력 5년을 기준으로 - (The Impact of Day-care Center Organizational Characteristics on Teacher Efficacy)

  • 본 연구는 어린이집 조직특성이 교사효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 수도권지역 어린이집 교사 319명을 대상으로 조직특성, 교사효능감을 측정하였고 수집된 자료는 교사경력 변인을 고려하여 F-검증, 회귀분석 방법으로 분석하였다. 분석결과를 요약하면 첫째, 어린이집 교사효능감은 경력에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어린이집 조직특성 중 도전, 역할명확성, 수퍼비전, 재교육은 교사효능감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 경력이 5년 미만인 교사에게는 도전, 역할명확성이, 경력이 5년 이상인 교사에게는 도전, 역할명확성, 재교육의 조직특성이 교사효능감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 어린이집 교사에게 공통적으로 영향력이 큰 조직특성은 도전과 역할명확성이었다. 연구결과를 토대로 어린이집 교사효능감 향상을 위한 조직특성에 대해 논의하였으며, 교사경력별 효능감을 높이기 위한 방안을 제안하였다.

The mediating effect of self-efficacy in the relationship between communication skills and practices of preventing infectious diseases among daycare center teachers in South Korea

  • Purpose: This study investigated the practices of preventing infectious diseases by daycare center teachers. The focus was on the mediating effects of self-efficacy in the relationship between communication skills and practices of preventing infectious diseases. Methods: This study used a descriptive correlational design. The participants were 164 daycare center teachers. Hierarchical regression was used to test the mediating effect of self-efficacy in the relationship between communication skills and practices of preventing infectious diseases. Data were analyzed using the independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson correlation coefficients, and hierarchical regression. The mediation effect was analyzed using an SPSS Macro program, PROCESS. Results: Significant relationships were found between communication skills and practices of preventing infectious diseases (β=.19, p<.001), self-efficacy and practices of preventing infectious diseases (β=.59, p<.001), and communication skills and self-efficacy (β=.27, p<.001). Self-efficacy had a significant mediating effect (β=.17, 95% confidence interval=0.07~0.29) on practices of preventing infectious diseases. Conclusion: In order to improve practices of preventing infectious diseases among daycare teachers, it is necessary to develop and apply interventions and methods that can increase effective communication skills and self-efficacy.

유아 교사 효능감 척도 개발 연구 (The Construction of an Early Childhood Teacher Efficacy Scale)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a valid and reliable early childhood teacher efficacy scale. As part of this process, the final version of the early childhood teacher efficacy scale was examined in order to reflect the characteristics of the subjects who participated in this study, namely, 598 in-service teachers employed at kindergartens and child care centers. Our data was analyzed according to both the reliability and validity of the scale. the main results of this study were as follows. The overall internal consistency was relatively high (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ = .91~.93). In addition, the content reliability was examined by a panel of experts in the field. The results of the factor analyses identified 6 sub-constructs with 59 items, thus clearly establishing the construct validity. Moreover, the concurrent validity of this scale was established. The results of correlational and t-test analyses found that the constructs of this scale reflected the characteristics of early childhood teachers.

가족의 건강성과 양육효능감 및 유아의 사회적 행동과의 관계 (The Relationships between Family Strengths, Mothers' Self-Efficacy and Children's Social Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships between the family strengths, mothers' self-efficacy, and their young children's teaming-related social skills and behavior problems. The subjects were the 217 children aged 4 to 6 years and their mothers at private child care centers in Seoul. The Family Strengths Scale and the Mothers' Self-Efficacy questionnaire were administered to the mothers. The teachers rated the learning-related social skills and problem behaviors of each child whose mother returned a set of Questionnaires. Analysis of variance revealed statistically significant differences in the family strengths according to the education level of the mothers. The mean the family strength score was higher for working mothers than for non-working mothers. The results of the test were statistically significant differences in the scores on the learning-related social skills and problem behaviors between boys and girls. The family strengths were positively correlated with the mothers' self-efficacy, and the learning-related social skills of the young children, while they were negatively correlated with problem behaviors.

유아의 부정적 행동 및 목적 없는 행동에 미치는 교사변인의 영향 (Effects of Variables Related to Teachers on Children's Negative and Aimless Behaviors)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship pattern among the children's negative and aimless behaviors, and the variables related to teachers (characteristics, stress, efficacy, and quality of teachers' behaviors). Subjects were 190, 5 year-old children and 48 teachers at 45 child care centers. The children's negative and aimless behaviors were observed with time sampling method. The quality of teachers' interaction behaviors was rated by the Assessment Scales for Day Care Programs during the free play activities. Teachers responded to the Scale for the Teachers' Job Stress and Teachers' Efficacy. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlations, multiple regressions, and partial correlations. The results were as follows. The teachers' experience and the quality of teachers' behaviors significantly explained the children's negative behaviors. The quality of teachers' behaviors significantly explained the children's aimless behaviors. Lastly, the quality of teachers' behaviors mediated the relationship between the teachers' job stress and the children's aimless behaviors.

영유아를 돌보는 조모의 양육효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Parenting Self-efficacy in Grandmothers Raising Infant and Toddler)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify degrees of factors influencing parenting self-efficacy in grandmother raising infant and toddler. Method: A convenience sample of 121 grandmothers whose grandchild was between 3 to 36 months old was used. The variables were health status, health problems and life event. The data were collected through a questionnaire survey and descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA with Scheffe test, Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression were used to analyze using SPSS WIN 12.0. Results: The average score for parenting self-efficacy was 39.39(SD=5.09), somewhat higher than moderate in level. Factor that was significant in influencing parenting self-efficacy was life event. This factors accounted for 14.6% of explained variance. Conclusions: It was found that the life event was influenced to parenting self-efficacy in grandmothers raising infant and toddler. From this study it is proposed that there is a need to develop programs and policies which support them. Ultimately a good care environment for children will be good for the young children's growth and development.

장애아동 어머니가 지각하는 배우자의 협력정도가 양육스트레스에 미치는 영향: 양육효능감의 매개효과 (The Influence of the Degree of Cooperation of the Spouse Perceived by the Mother of a Handicapped Child on Parenting Stress: Mediating Effect of Parenting Efficacy)

  • 본 연구는 장애아동을 양육하고 있는 어머니가 지각하는 배우자의 협력정도가 양육스트레스에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 배우자의 협력정도와 양육스트레스 사이에서 양육효능감의 매개효과가 있는지 확인하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 장애아 전담어린이집을 이용하고 있는 장애아동 어머니 145명의 설문응답 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 장애아동 어머니가 지각하는 배우자의 협력정도는 양육효능감에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애아동 어머니가 지각하는 배우자의 협력정도는 양육스트레스에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 장애아동 어머니가 지각하는 배우자의 협력정도와 양육스트레스 사이에서 양육효능감의 매개효과가 나타났다. 즉, 장애아동 양육과정에서 어머니는 배우자의 협력을 많이 받는다고 지각할수록 양육효능감이 높아지고, 높아진 양육효능감은 양육스트레스 감소에도 영향을 미치는 것으로 볼 수 있다.

영아교사의 경력 및 교사효능감과 민감성, 전문성 발달 간의 구조적 관계 연구 (A Study on the Structural Relations Between Infant Teachers' Career, Efficacy, Sensitivity, and the Development of Professionalism)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural relations between infant teachers' career, efficacy, sensitivity, and the development of their professionalism. Methods: Data were collected from 320 infant teachers working at day care centers in Gyeonggi-do and Seoul. The collected data were applied to SPSS 22.0 program. With the data, correlation analysis and structural equation model analysis were conducted. Results: Firstly, infant teachers' career didn't influence the development of their professionalism directly, but indirectly affected their efficacy and sensitivity. Secondly, the variables that directly affected the development of their professionalism were teacher efficacy and sensitivity. Thirdly, teacher efficacy and sensitivity had full mediation between their career and the development of professionalism. Conclusion/Implications: Infant teachers' career affected the development of their professionalism through teacher efficacy and sensitivity. Based on the result, a plan for developing infant teachers' professionalism was proposed, and suggestions of follow-up research were discussed.

부모효능감 관련변인에 대한 메타분석 (A Meta-Analysis of Variables Related to Parenting Efficacy)

  • The purpose of this study is to synthesize research findings on the relationship between parenting efficacy and the variables related to it, as well as to produce results using meta-analysis. The following questions guide this study : Which variables are frequently conducted in research related to parenting efficacy? What is the effect size of each variable? The 65 studies whose results are analyzed in this paper were collected via a search for investigations focusing on 'parenting efficacy'. The studies were used for meta-analysis in which eleven variables were selected. The results of the analysis indicate that a large effect size is produced by the parenting stress in a negative direction. A higher than medium effect size occurs on the basis of parenting beliefs in a negative direction. A higher than medium effect size is also caused by the father's involvement in child care and social support. A medium effect size is produced on the basis of children's temperament, and a small effect size is the result of the mother's academic background, parenting knowledge, and parent's income. There is no relationship between parenting efficacy and children's gender.
