Environmental Consciousness, Knowledge and Education of Home Economics Teachers in Gwang-ju (광주시 가정과 교사의 환경의식과 환경지식 및 환경교육수행에 관한 연구)

  • The purposes of this study were to measure the levels of environmental consciousness. environmental knowledge, and environmental education performance and to find the influences of related variables on environmental education performance in Home Economics teachers. The researchers used a questionnaire consisting of three parts such as environmental consciousness. knowledge and education for 153 Home Economics teachers o secondary schools in Gwang-ju. The results are as follows: The level of environmental consciousness of the Home Economic teachers was high, but that of their environmental knowledge and the performance of environmental education were low. The teachers with more educational experience and married teachers showed higher level of environmental consciousness. Unmarried teachers showed higher level of environmental knowledge. The teachers with more age and educational experience showed higher level of environmental education performance. The teachers with more chances for getting environmental information had relatively higher level of environmental knowledge. The teachers with more educational experience and chance for getting environmental information and pro-environment community had relatively higher level of environmental education performance. With regard to environmental education experience older teachers getting environmental information pro-environment community and the teachers with higher level of environmental consciousness practiced more. Environmental knowledge, however, didn’t affect environmental education.

Effects of High School Student' Educational Experience and Expected Benefits on the Participation Intention of Collaborative Consumption (고등학생의 협력적 소비에 대한 교육경험과 기대 혜택이 참여 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Collaborative consumption (CC) occurs in organized systems or networks in which participants conduct sharing activities in the form of renting, lending, trading, bartering, and swapping of goods, services, transportation solutions, space, or money. Information and communications technologies (ICTs) that have emerged with CC. CC is expected to alleviate social problems such as hyper-consumption, pollution, and poverty by lowering the cost of economic coordination. In this study, we investigate the influence of educational experience and expected benefits of CC participation (intended to using and providing CC) of Adolescent Consumers. The subjects for the study were 418 high school students. Data was analyzed through frequency analysis, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis using SPSS Win 21.0. The results of this study are as follows. First, the significant positive relationship found between CC participants (intent to use and provide CC), educational experience (home education, school education, and mass media) and expected benefits (social benefit, economic benefit, enjoyment, community effect, and reputation). Second, enjoyment, mass media, reputation, social benefit, home education and school education values were variables that influenced the using participation intention for CC. Third, the major variables influencing the providing participation intention CC were home education, enjoyment, gender, community effect, and mass media values.

The Effects of Integrated Environmental Experience Program on Environmental Attitude of Elementary Schoolers (통합 환경체험 프로그램이 초등학생의 환경태도에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, Korea's interest in environment protection is increasingly growing, and Korea realizes the seriousness of environmental pollution and national movement to minimize the effect is arising. As part of the movement, the need of environmental education in elementary schools is on the rise. This study aims to develop integrated environmental experience programs allowing students to have experience activities in forests, rivers, and seas that they can approach easily around them and to have environmental education through various plays. In addition, the study purposes to compare general educational education programs in actual education in terms of the effect of the program on students' environment attitudes. This study was conducted to 50 fourth graders in two classes of S elementary school in Busan, and the 25-student comparative group had the normal educational education program that is mostly being performed in actual education while the 25-student treatment group had the survey on environmental attitude after a class using an integrated environmental experience program. The survey content is about environmental attitudes, and it consists of six subjects such as general environment, environmental pollution, energy, water resources, recycling, and animal protection and has 7 or 8 items by each subject which is divided into eight sub-items including sensibility, belief, values, spontaneity, criticism, patience, attention and interest. The findings are as follows. First, the integrated environmental experience program has a more positive effect on environmental attitudes than the general educational program. In particular, it is really effective about the topic of animal protection among students' environmental attitudes. Second, the integrated environmental experience program has a more positive effect on values and interests than the general environmental education program.

Workers' perceptions on the experience education for occupational safety and health in community: Focused on the values and affecting factors (지역사회 산업안전보건 체험교육에 대한 근로자의 인식: 체험교육의 가치와 영향 요인을 중심으로)

  • Objectives: The purposes of this study was to describe workers' perceived values and the affecting factors (pros and cons) of the experience education for occupational safety and health and to suggest the strategies and future directions to improve the experience educational quality. Methods: A total of 8 male workers taking the safety and health education of the 7 safety experience education centers involved in this study (5 centers managed by Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA), 2 centers of large commercial companies). This study used Photovoice, a qualitative method, as the study method. We conducted the photovoice-based in-depth interview with the SHOWeD questions and strategy and used the taxonomical analysis. Results: The study participants' perceived values of experience education were strengthening self-efficacy of the safety and health practices, providing practically useful information, and enjoying refreshing experiences different from daily jobs. Positive affecting factors of the experience education (pros) were providing the educational environments and opportunities of direct experiences, teaching practical safety and health contents for the participants, and the trainer's instruction competencies. Negative affecting factors of the experience education (cons) were learner's negative or standing postures during trainer's lecturing, insufficient exercise conditions and facilities for education, and difficult and theory-oriented lecture far from the practical jobs in reality. Conclusions: Major values of exercise education were direct experiences, useful contents and interesting opportunities from the education participants' perspectives. To improve the exercise education quality, overall educational environments such as convenience facilities as well as exercise facilities should be modified altogether. This study partially and conveniently used the photovoice method as the study limitation.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of educational environment on job on the educational satisfaction and recommendation toward the educational service among the students who are major in cooking and confectionery bakery in Busan area. In addition, current student conducted to perform the moderating effect of part-time condition. In order to achieve the purpose of current study total 299 students of 2-year college students were employed and it was educational statistically analysed using SPSS 20.0 program. Three-step hierarchical regression analysis was employed to check whether the major part-time job experience had a moderating impact or not. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between the educational environment and educational satisfaction, and the adjustment effect was partially adopted in the educational environment. Eurthermore, the part-time condition has positive influence on the relationship between environmental element and educational1 satisfaction, so the moderating effect was verified. These results will be contributed to provide marketing strategy to improve the educational environment service for students as well as related foodservice industry.

The effects of augmented reality fashion application on pleasure, satisfaction and behavioral intention (증강현실 패션 어플리케이션이 즐거움, 만족 및 행동의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study were to analyze the effects of the experience realms (entertainment, educational, escapist, and esthetic) of augmented fashion reality applications on consumers' pleasure, satisfaction, intention of reuse, and purchase intention. This study is based on the survey subjecting those who have an iPhone. A total of 207 questionnaires were processed in analysis. Descriptive analysis, frequency analysis, reliability analysis and regression analysis were conducted using SPSS ver. 18.0. The results are as follows. First, entertainment and esthetic experience positively influenced consumers' pleasure. Second, entertainment, educational and esthetic experience positively influenced satisfaction. Third, pleasure positively affected satisfaction. Forth, both pleasure and satisfaction positively influenced intention of reuse and purchase intention. Fifth, there were significant differences in the effects of the experience realms of augmented fashion reality applications on pleasure, satisfaction, intention of reuse, and purchase intention by gender. In conclusion, pleasure and satisfaction that influence reuse intention and purchase intention were influenced by the experience realms. When consumers feel satisfaction and pleasure in experience realms of augmented fashion reality applications, they are more likely to reuse of an augmented reality fashion application, and to purchase the products consumers were implementing an augmented reality fashion application for.

A Survey on Job Performance of Dietitians (영양사의 업무수행도 실태조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate job performance of dietitians. The survey also examined differences in job performance of dietitians by institutional classicification, types of task, levels of education and job experience. Data was collected form national samples. Results are summarized as follows. 1. By institutional classification, dietitians working in industry showed lowest score(3.0465${\pm}$.4151), which those working in hospital showed highest score(3.2883${\pm}$.4124) in job performance. 2. By types of task, the score of job performance is in order of hygience management(3.3933${\pm}$.4236), business management(3.3183${\pm}$.5435) and education management(2.3132${\pm}$.7551). 3. By educational level, dietitians who graduated universities scored higher than who graduated junior colleges in general. Specifically, the former had high scores in business management(3.4796${\pm}$.4692) and hygiene management, while the latter had high scores in hygiene management(3.3615${\pm}$.440) and business management, as in order. 4. By job experience, job performance increases after-3 year-experience and peaks in over-10 year-experience. 5. For reasons of negligence in specified taskes, 109 of respondents(22.7%) answered "don't know how to perform" and 108 of them(22.5%) answered "lack of human resources." Also, the lower in job experience the more answered "don't know how to perform" as a reason of negligence a their task(34.5% of below-2 year-experience and 24.2% of junior colleges answered to this reason).

The Structural Relationship between Experience Factor, Experience Satisfaction and Re-participation Intention of KIMAWEEK Yacht Experience Participants (국제해양레저위크(KIMAWEEK) 요트체험 참가자의 체험요인과 체험만족 및 재참가의도와의 구조적 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how the experience factors of KIMAWEEK yacht experience participants affect the experience satisfaction and re-participation intention. this study, 515 KIMAWEEK participants in Pusan metropolitan city conducted a mobile survey and the following conclusions were drawn. First, deviant, educational, and aesthetic factors among the experience factors of yacht experience participants were found to affect the satisfaction of experience, but entertainment factors did not affect it. Second, educational and entertainment factors, among the experiential factors, influenced re-participation intention in relation to the experience factor and re-participation intention, but deviant factors and aesthetic factors did not affect it. Third, the relationship between the experience satisfaction and re-participation intention was also found to have a similar effect. Through this study, various and differentiated experience factors should be provided in order to increase the satisfaction of KIMAWEEK yacht experience participants. In particular, realistic events that meet local characteristics should be held.

Attitudes of Nursing Educators Toward Percussional Nursing (간호학 교수들의 간호전문직에 대한 태도 조사연구)

  • This study of nurse educator's attitudes which found aspects of professional nursing was carried out from September 10 to 30, 1977. Subjects were 205 respondents from a total population of 314 nurse educators from the level of instructors to professors in all the diploma (post high school 3 year), professional junior college (3 year level) and university (4 year) nursing schools in Korea. Specific objectives were to determine their attitudes about the 1. social position of nursing as a profession, 2. nurses attitudes towards their word, 3. factors influencing the development of nursing, 4. the future of nursing, 5. nursing educational problems, 6. their own educational position's intrinsic job satisfaction and 7. their salary and benefits. The instrument used was a questionnaire developed from consultations with nursing educators and sociologists, and based on earlier. worts by Burke (1976), Mason (1974) and Hong 1969. Data were analysis by computer using one-way analysis. Statistically significant findings included the following; 1. Responses were positive toward all seven aspects of professional nursing. 2. Compared to diploma nursing school staff whose responses were positive, professional and university school faculty response toward the social position of nursing were neutral. 3. Faculty with clinical experience of 10 to 19 years were most positive in their responses about nurses' attitudes towards their work. In all three types of schools, in comparison to professors, associate professors' responses were more positive about nurses' attitudes toward their work. Faculty with longer clinical experience expressed high agreement with statements about factors which influence the development of nursing. Without any differences between school, all faculty had positive attitudes towards the future of nursing, the younger the staff member, the more positive were the responses. 4. faculty in diploma schools and those with 10 to 19 years clinical experience expressed high agreement with statement about nursing educational problems, 6. their own educational position's intrinsic job satisfaction and 7. their salary and benefits. Mothers' Beliefs in Developmentally Appropriate Practice : Relationships with Mother's Childhood Experience, Parenting Efficacy and Parenting Behavior (발달적으로 적합한 실제(DAP)에 관한 어머니의 신념과 아동기 양육경험, 양육효능감 및 양육행동과의 관계)

  • This study investigated the beliefs in Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) of 447 mothers of 4- and 5- year-old children by mother's childhood experience, parenting efficacy, and parenting behavior. Results showed that mother's beliefs in DAP were related to children's age, early childhood educational institution, monthly household income, mother's educational background, mother's childhood experience, parenting efficacy, and parenting behavior. Mothers with higher beliefs in DAP were mothers of kindergarten rather than mothers of daycare children; they had 4 years or more college education, and more than $3000 monthly household income.
