  • In Korea, youth participation in economic activities and unemployment appear at the same time, which is a more serious problem, so a study on the labor market movement can be viewed as a study to overcome youth unemployment. The purpose of this study is to examine how labor movement between the employed and the unemployed is progressing through the survey data of the youth panel among the employment panel and to identify the factors affecting the movement path and movement of the employed and the unemployed. In the case of the employed, they possessed professional qualifications, and in the case of unstable occupational status, they attempted to move to a stable position after being employed. In the case of the unemployed, the probability of failing to find a job was higher as they had no job search experience, the longer the job search period, and the less effort they made. The fact that the home environment directly or indirectly influences the movement of the labor market remains unchanged. On the other hand, the higher the educational level, the more stable, and the most stable the metropolitan area. Therefore, more urgently than ever, a plan to revitalize the local labor market through the organic relationship between the government, local governments, local industry, and local universities and balanced regional development should be sought.

  • The 4th industrial revolution refers to the transition to a knowledge society in which the production speed of knowledge is fast and the proportion of the knowledge industry is greatly increased. The reorganization of the industrial structure and the change of occupations and jobs due to new technologies are bringing about changes in education, and the development of digital technology has made education that is borderless, individual and dynamic, becoming the new standard of education. With these changes, interest in nano-degrees on new technologies or micro-degrees focused on core courses rather than regular course degrees is increasing. As a representative example, Udacity in the United States has opened and operated online nanodegree courses related to jobs, and collaborates with major companies to develop and educate core training courses necessary for companies, thereby efficiently supporting companies in securing talent. With the revitalization of online vocational and job training, an environment has been prepared in which individuals can set goals for vocational competency development and continue their portfolio-based sustainable learning. However, for effective vocational education, automated and personalized educational content design should be preceded. To this end, in this paper, we propose a personalized career and course map recommendation system in the era of online learning

  • To address the high accident rate in the construction industry, there is a growing interest in implementing virtual reality (VR)-based construction safety training. However, existing training approaches often failed to consider learners' individual characteristics, resulting in inadequate training for some individuals. This study aimed to investigate the impact of personal characteristics on learning performance in VR-based construction safety training using machine learning and SHAP (SHAPley Additional exPlanations). This study revealed that age exerted the greatest influence on learning performance, while work experience had the least impact. Furthermore, age exhibited a negative relationship with learning performance, indicating that the introduction of VR-based construction safety training can be effective for younger individuals. On the other hand, academic degree, qualifications, and work experience exhibited a positive relationship. To enhance learning performance for individuals with lower academic degree, it is necessary to provide content that is easier to understand. The lower qualifications and work experience have minimal impact on learning performance, so it is important to consider other learners' characteristics so as to provide appropriate educational content. This study confirmed that personal characteristics can significantly affect learning performance in VR-based construction safety training, highlighting the potential for leveraging these findings to provide effective safety training for construction workers.
