Analysis of University Students' Innovativeness and Adoption Intention of Academic Convergence by using LISREL (리즈렐을 이용한 대학생의 혁신성향과 융합학문 수용의도에 대한 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of university students's innovativeness on adoption intention of academic convergence. For this objectives, the Structural Equation Model(SEM) was designed and analysed by using Lisrel. This study developed a research model, based upon TAM, to analyse the factors: personal innovativeness, social expectation, perceived usefulness and adoption intention of academic convergence. The main results are follows as: first, personal innovativeness showed a significant positive direct effect on adoption intention of academic convergence, and indirect effect through perceived usefulness on it. Second, through perceived usefulness, there was indirect effect between social expectation and adoption intention of academic convergence. The SEM in this study showed the statistical significance, which the model fit was χ2=22.638(df=29, p=.793). Based upon the result of analyses, the study suggested to develop the subject and non-subject educational program through which students experience innovativeness and usefulness for academic convergence. Especially, the change of the role and the task of the curriculum of liberal arts was.

Identification of the Predictability of SNS Intention to Use and Related Variables in Collaborative Learning (협력학습에서 SNS 사용의도와 관련변인간의 예측력 규명)

  • The purposes of this study are to examine the predictability of variables related to SNS intention to use in collaborative learning and provide some new implications. Based on Technology Readiness and Acceptance Model (TRAM), we hypothesized that optimism, innovativeness, discomfort, insecurity as personal disposition variables, subjective norm as a social variable, and perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use as cognitive variables would predict SNS intention to use. For this study, 274 'Share Leadership' students in E university completed surveys and it was analyzed by multiple regression analysis. The results of this study showed as follows. First, optimism, innovativeness, discomfort, and subjective norm predicted perceived ease of use. Second, optimism, insecurity, subjective norm and perceived ease of use predicted perceived usefulness. Third, subjective norm, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness predicted SNS intention to use. From this, it is revealed that positive technology readiness predict much more than negative technology readiness do and the role of teacher and peers is very important.

  • Due to the development of private education and changes in the educational environment, the need for an academy management system is emerging for various tasks of academy management in the community and mobile environment with students. However, solutions developed for existing academy tasks, such as attendance management for students, announcement, and instructor management to sponsors, are specialized and specialized in large academy, making it difficult to use in small and medium-sized academy. Also, there are problems that are not suitable for most academy and cannot reflect various requirements of institutes because of the high cost. In order to solve these problems, this paper designed a B2M-based academy management system that can quickly improve information processing, improve credibility, and reduce the cost of processing tasks based on optimized functions such as academic administration and manager management, attendance management, and student management.

A Study on the Perceptions of Cyber English Learners on the Usefulness of Online Grammar Checker (온라인 문법 검사기의 유용성에 대한 사이버 영어학습자들의 인식에 관한 연구)

  • The current study examined the cyber learners' perceptions of the educational usefulness of Grammarly, an online grammar checker, after it was used to provide feedback to cyber university students in a situation where the instructor could not provide sufficient feedback on their written work in English. The survey results, revealed that the majority of learners had positive attitudes to the usefulness of Grammarly. In particular, the feedback immediately available whenever needed was regarded as helpful in improving English sentences, and most learners were highly satisfied with the amount of the feedback provided by Grammarly. It was also found that Grammarly had positive effects in terms of the affective domains, helping learners to improve their interest and confidence in English writing. In particular, Grammarly was found to be effective in reducing writing anxiety in English, one of the main factors negatively affecting writing performance in English. However, along with these positive results, limitations such as inaccurate feedback and inadequate explanation of errors were also found. Therefore, when Grammarly is used for English education, it is necessary to conduct multifaceted research to develop effective teaching methods that can minimize the problems that may arise from these limitations.

Design of Simulated Photovoltaic Power Streetlight for Education using Renewable Energy Utilization and Storage Function (신재생에너지 활용 및 저장기능을 이용한 교육용 모의 태양광발전 가로등 설계)

  • A Photovoltaic power streetlight is a system that uses solar energy to charge a secondary battery and then uses it for night lighting through a lamp, and can be configured as a standalone or grid-connected type by installing an LED streetlight at the load end. The energy generated through the solar cell module can be charged to the secondary battery through the charge/discharge control device, and then the LED street light can be turned on and off by comparing the power generation voltage and the charging voltage according to the monitoring of solar radiation, or by setting a specific time after sunset or sunrise. Based on these contents, this paper designed and manufactured a simulated solar power streetlight for education using new and renewable energy utilization and storage functions. Using these educational equipment, students can 1) understand the flow of energy change using renewable energy including sunlight as electric energy, 2) understand new and renewable energy, and cultivate basic design and manufacturing application power of related products, 3) The use of new and renewable energy through power conversion and strengthening of practical training and analysis through hardware production can be instilled.

OnDot: Braille Training System for the Blind (시각장애인을 위한 점자 교육 시스템)

  • This paper deals with the Braille Education System which complements the shortcomings of the existing Braille Learning Products. An application dedicated to the blind is configured to perform full functions through touch gestures and voice guidance for user convenience. Braille kit is produced for educational purposes through Arduino and 3D printing. The system supports the following functions. First, the learning of the most basic braille, such as initial consonants, final consonant, vowels, abbreviations, etc. Second, the ability to check learned braille by solving step quizzes. Third, translation of braille. Through the experiment, the recognition rate of touch gestures and the accuracy of braille expression were confirmed, and in case of translation, the translation was done as intended. The system allows blind people to learn braille efficiently.

Characteristics of Video Contents Related to Waste Cycle in Korean Social Media (한국 소셜 미디어에서 폐기물 순환 관련 동영상 콘텐츠의 특성)

  • This study identified the characteristics of video contents related to waste cycle in Korean social media. The contents of broadcasting companies were the most popular among production entities, and mainly current affairs contents and educational contents were popular. Among the solutions to recycle wastes, 'Improvement of systems and policies' was predominantly covered in the video as solutions to the waste circulation problems. 'Broadcasting companies', 'local governments', 'non-profit private organizations' and 'central administrative agencies' actively used the social media to deliver solutions and engage consumers. However, very few contents were produced by companies that are socially responsible for waste. The results of this study show the importance of communication-oriented, public-friendly content development in the process of video production related to waste cycle. These are expected to be useful guidelines for decision-making supporting the development and improvement of related systems and policies.

How Much Do We Understand About Use of E-Commerce in OPAL Generation?: Focused on Diffusion of Innovation Theory (우리는 오팔(OPAL)세대의 이커머스 이용을 얼마나 이해하고 있는가?: 혁신확산이론을 중심으로)

  • This study compared the sociodemographic characteristics and innovativeness of OPAL generation e-commerce users and non-users based on the innovation diffusion theory, and examined the effect of these personal characteristics on the availability of e-commerce use. The result showed that OPAL generation e-commerce users differed from non-users in gender, age, income level, education level, and functional, hedonistic, social and cognitive innovativeness. In addition, gender, age, educational level, functional and hedonistic innovativeness were found to be significant variables that determined the OPAL generation's use of e-commerce. Based on these results, we presented the theoretical and practical implications of this study.

Development of An Intelligent G-Learning Virtual Learning Platform Based on Real Video (실 화상 기반의 지능형 G-러닝 가상 학습 플랫폼 개발)

  • In this paper, we propose a virtual learning platform based on various interactions that occur during real class activities, rather than the existing content delivery-oriented learning metaverse platform. In this study, we provide a learning environment that combines AI and a virtual environment to solve problems by talking to real-time AI. Also, we applied G-learning techinques to improve class immersion. The Virtual Edu platform developed through this study provides an effective learning experience combining self-directed learning, simulation of interest through games, and PBL teaching method. And we propose a new educational method that improves student participation learning effectiveness. Experiment, we test performance on learninng activity based on real-time video classroom. As a result, it was found that the class progressing stably.

A Study on college student's cognition survey about CCTV in education facilities (교육시설내 CCTV에 대한 대학생의 인식조사 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze various categories such as the recognition, expectation and acceptability of CCTV use in educational facilities by doing a survey on how college students think about the CCTV installed in educational facilities. For this research, diverse existing surveys regarding CCTV were examined, and the appropriate elements of survey questions were extracted and developed. Based on this method, we intend to complete a survey study hereafter on the change in perception regarding CCTV inspection. We made four hypotheses before the survey and the results of the survey are as follows: First, the expectations for CCTV's ability to reduce crime were high. Second, the fears about being a victim of theft or violence crime were decreased. Third, there were a number of respondents who would weigh more on increased safety by installing a CCTV rather than be concerned that CCTV may lead to the violation of students' human rights. Fourth, there showed a difference in recognizing CCTV among three groups. Also, for the questions regarding the places where CCTV is installed, there were many negative opinions on its installation in the student convenient facilities. What we have achieved was not a simple survey which investigates the pros and cons about CCTV use, but a newly suggested way of survey, which enables us to test various hypotheses and figure out the changing perceptions on CCTV effectiveness in educational facilities with more efficiency.
