유아교사의 완벽주의 군집유형에 따른 교사효능감과 소진 (Early Childhood Teacher Self-Efficacy and Burnout by Types of Perfectionism)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to classify early childhood educators' perfectionism types and to identify differences in teacher self-efficacy and teachers burnout according to the types of perfectionism. Methods: The participants of this study were 309 teachers working at early childhood education centers in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Daejeon, Se-jong, Kim-Cheon, and Hong-Sung, South Korea. Early childhood educators were surveyed regarding perfectionism, teacher self-efficacy and teacher burnout. The collected data were analyzed using K-means cluster analyses and analysis of covariance. Results: Cluster analyses with self-oriented perfectionism and other-oriented perfectionism as cluster variables resulted in three types of perfectionism among early childhood educators; 'self-other directed perfectionism(33.0%)', 'other directed perfectionism(35.0%)' and 'non perfectionism(32.0%)'. Educators with self-other directed perfectionism reported higher teacher self-efficacy and lower teacher burnout than educators with other directed perfectionism or with non perfectionism. Conclusion/Implications: Early childhood educators' perfectionism may be a significant personality trait linked to quality of education and care in real education settings.

예비보육교사가 관찰한 어린이집에서의 아동학대 연구 (Study on Child Abuse Observed by Pre-Service Early Childhood Teachers at Child-Care Centers)

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest basic data for prevention of child abuse by examining the patterns and characteristics of child abuse observed at child-care centers. Data was collected by pre-service early childhood teachers majoring in child studies in an education practice session from May 1 to May 31, 2015 based on examined information and class discussion. This study shows that emotional abuse was performed most often, followed by neglect and physical abuse. Physical abuse was observed as a form of punishment and beating, whereas emotional abuse was observed in the form of force, sarcastic remarks, verbal attacks, and disregard. Neglect was observed as exclusion and indifference. Most crucial prevention against child abuse lies in teachers' personality education and concerns with their own mental health as well as children's rights education.

창의 인성 교육에 대한 디지털 큐레이션 시스템 개발 (A Development of Digital Curation System for Creativity and Personality Education)

  • With the advancement of information and communications technologies and the universal dissemination of smartphones, ICT-utilizing education is also getting the limelight. In the recent ICT-utilizing education, teachers and learners produce massive digital data by consulting massive information on the Internet, and the produced data is filtered in the process of education and utilized for the current and next educational programs. In order to construct the data well-suited for education from massive data available on the Internet, it is important to verify the quality of the educational data. To this end, we propose an educational website that can provide the data satisfying visual needs demanded by learners in terms of utilizing a digital curation system. In this paper, we also present a design and implementation of the website that non-ICT majors can easily use, which in turn enables them to conduct the education of creative personality utilizing image and video contents.

유치원 교육에 관한 학부모의 인식과 기대에 관한 실태조사 (A study on the perception and expectation of Parent about Kindergarten Education)

  • The purpose of the study is to analyze the perception and expectation made by parents, regarding the goal, methods and management of kindergarten education. The study is designed to identify social needs for the early childhood education and to produce some important information necessary for the development of education programs for kindergarteners and for the management of a kindergarten. As subjects of the study, 623 mothers of kindergartens were sampled from kindergartens. The researcher constructed a questionnaire of multiple-choice type for surveying opinions of the subjects, based on the analysis of curriculum materials published by Korean Ministry of Education. In data analysis, frequency of response on each item of the questionnaire was tabulated, and chi-square test was applied for testing the difference between independent samples. The results of the study are summarized as followings: First, parents feel kindergarten education necessary because 'interaction with peers' itself must be an important condition for socialization of younger children. For an 'ideal personality' to be pursued in kindergarten education, parents place 'moral personality' in the first priority.' And for educational objective of kindergarten they select 'development of cooperative attitude' as the most important one. Second, 'play method' is emphasized by parents as the most desirable educational method for kindergartener. Third, they think it is necessary for parents to participate in the management of kindergarten. And they also feel that parents of kindergartener should be educated on the early childhood education. Fourth, parents emphasize that the early childhood education should be integrated into a public educational system in order to provide equal educational opportunity for all preschoolers.

  • 유아 교육의 중요성이 증가하고 유아 교육은 교육의 산업의 중요한 부분이 되었다. 과학적이고 합리적인 유아 교육은 어린이의 지능 발달을 효과적으로 촉진 할 수 있으며 신체 및 정신 건강의 발달에 매우 중요하다. 풍부하고 다양한 게임으로서 교육용 게임은 아이들의 협동심과 사고력을 향상 시킬 뿐만 아니라 아이들이 경쟁과 규칙에 대한 인식을 키울 수 있도록 널리 사용되었다. 어린이의 시각 신경을 자극하고 어린이의 지적 발달 및 감정과 관련이 있다. 안정성과 성격 형성은 어린아이들의 두뇌 발달을 자극하고 아이들의 지적 향상을 기대한다.

유아교사의 개인전 변인(반성적 사고, 정서적 적응성, 동기부여)과 교사효능감과의 관계에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Personality Disposition of Early Childhood Teachers Affecting the Teachers' Belief of Efficacy)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the teachers' belief of efficacy and their personality dispositions (reflective thinking, emotional adaptability, and motivation orientation). A survey was conducted of 282 kindergarten teachers working in the area of Seoul and Gyeonggi-Do. Data were processed and analyzed by statistical methods of descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations, and hierarchical multiple regressions. Results showed that teachers' belief of efficacy was positively correlated with their personality dispositions of reflective thinking, emotional adaptability, and motivation orientation-approach. They were negatively correlated with motivational orientation-avoidance. Teachers' belief of efficacy was highly correlated with emotional adaptability in all variables, followed by reflective thinking and motivation orientations-avoidance.

누리과정 지도서에 제시된 이야기나누기 활동의 인성교육 요소 분석 (Analysis on personality education element of discussion activity in the Nuri-curriculum guidebook)

  • 본 연구는 인성교육 관련 요소가 누리과정 지도서에 제시된 이야기나누기 활동에서 어떻게 적용되고 있는지 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 누리과정 지도서에 제시된 이야기나누기 활동의 인성교육 요소를 연령별, 생활주제별로 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 누리과정 지도서에 제시된 이야기나누기 활동의 연령별 인성교육 요소를 살펴보면, 만 5세, 만 4세, 만 3세 순으로 인성교육 요소를 많이 포함하고 있었다. 또한 모든 연령에서 배려, 존중, 협력의 인성교육 요소가 높은 비중을 차지하고 있는 반면, 효와 나눔은 다소 낮은 비중을 차지하고 있었다. 둘째, 누리과정 지도서에 제시된 이야기나누기 활동의 생활주제별 인성교육 요소를 살펴보면, '유치원', '나와 가족', '우리동네', '환경과 생활' 등의 특정 주제에 인성교육 요소가 집중되고 생활주제별로 분포가 고르지 않게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 누리과정 지도서의 이야기나누기 활동에서 인성교육 요소가 어떻게 실시되고 있는지를 볼 수 있는 자료로 균형 잡힌 인성교육 요소가 누리과정 지도서의 이야기나누기에 포함될 수 있도록 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

유아교사의 성격 유형, 창의성, 그리고 교수효능감 간의 관계 연구 (A Study Concerning the Relationships among an Early Childhood Educator's Type of MBTI Personal Tendencies, Creativity, and Teaching Efficacy)

  • This study examined the relationship among early childhood educator's MBTI personal tendencies, creativity, and teaching efficacy. 120 kindergarten teachers and 155 day care teachers participated in this study. Several survey questionnaires were used for this study, such as, teaching efficacy scale, MBTI personality tendencies, and a creativity test. The collected data was analyzed with the SPSS program(version 18.0). The findings of this study were as follows: First, there were some differences between an early childhood educator's MBTI personal tendencies and creativity. Secondly, there was a positive correlation among early childhood educator's MBTI personal tendencies, creativity, and teaching efficacy.

학부모가 인식하고 있는 유치원 교사의 이미지 (Parents' Image of Kindergarten Teacher)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine parents' image of kindergarten teacher in a bid to provide useful information on kindergarten teacher and parents education to improve the image of kindergarten teachers. The participants in this study were 90 mothers whose young children attended kindergarten in the city of Busan. They were asked to describe what words came into their mind about the image of kindergarten teacher and what an ideal image of kindergarten teacher should be like. Among the participants, ten mothers were interviewed to tell about the ideal image of kindergarten teacher. The largest number of the parents wrote down the words that represented the image of the personality of kindergarten teachers, and love and friendliness were the most common words that the parents mentioned. As for an ideal image of kindergarten teacher, they wanted kindergarten teachers to love preschoolers, to have a good and friendly personality, to see through young children's eyes and to be positive and happy. It indicated that the parents expected their children to be educated by teachers who are understanding, cheerful, have a good personality and love children as their own children.

유아의 성격과 기질이 또래유능성에 미치는 영향 (The effect of a child's personality and temperament on peer competence)

  • 본 논문에서는 유아의 성격, 기질, 또래유능성 간의 관련성 및 설명력을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 실시되었다. 연구대상으로 수도권에 위치한 5곳의 유치원에서 만 4세, 만 5세의 유아들의 성격, 기질, 또래유능성 검사를 실시하여 수집된 총 137명을 대상으로 상관분석과 회귀분석을 실시하였더니 다음과 같은 결과가 나타났다. 첫째, 유아의 기질과 성격은 또래유능성에 유의미한 영향력을 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 유아의 기질에서 적응성이 또래유능성에 가장 영향력이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 성격의 외향성과 내향성 하위요인과 기질의 적응성과 생리적 규칙성은 또래유능성에 의미있는 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 이를 고려하여 또래관계에서 유능함을 향상시킬 수 있는 유아교육프로그램의 개발이 요구됨을 알 수 있다.
