  • The purpose of this study is to give the preliminary data and suggestion for introducing and spreading e-learning engineering education through analyzing learning behaviors, learning motivations, and satisfaction of e-learning engineering students. Especially, this comparative study analyzes each research domain according to majors and grades, thereby suggesting more specific and practical results. 2,745 students registered in 38 subjects of e-learning in 2 Universities were analyzed for this study. The study result shows that engineering students are attending around 2 e-learning subjects with a duration of about 30 minutes once a week. The main of learning motivation for e-learning was not easy test level and feasibility of acquiring credit but advantages of e-learning such as freedom of time and space, learning by repetition. The satisfaction scores of e-learning were lower compared to the aspects of system and contents Based on these results, first, an active spread of e-learning to engineering education is necessary because the demand from the engineering students is high enough and they have desirable learning behavior and learning motivation for it. Second, the characteristics of grades need to be taken into consideration on operation of e-learning. Third, a successful e-learning process needs more meticulous and active operation.

  • The purpose of this study is to review a variety of e-learning use in medical education, and to analyze the e-learning related research in medical education, finally to discuss possibilities and limitations of e-learning in future. Subjects of this research are 46 papers published in Korean Medical Database, PubMed, MEDLIS, RISS4U. Content analysis of 46 papers have been conducted based on the period of research, research methods, research subjects, study personnel, effectiveness. The results are as follows. First, various e-learning, such as hyper-media, simulation-based medical education (SBME), game-based learning, web-based learning, computer-based test (CBT) are implemented in medical education. Second, 35 research (76.1%) has verified the positive effect of e-learning. Third, in the case of Korean studies, experimental studies (46.2%) in a short period (46.2%) of 50-100 people (42.3%) to take the most. As a result, it is reported a lack of theoretical discussion and insight on e-learning compared to foreign research. Educational paradigms are currently shifting from off-line to on-line, from traditional classroom lecture to e-learning. But e-learning is not a substitution to traditional teaching, but a matter of choice. The choice is up to medical professors and students.

  • This paper aims at investigating what Regional University E-Learning Centers (RUECs) has done in promoting e-learning in university education in Korea. First, the e-learning situation in university education in Korea is introduced. Secondly, the background of establishment of RUECs and its functions are explained in detail. Thirdly, a case of RUECs is suggested by using the CNU-University E-Learning Center. In particular, the performance of e-learning is evaluated based on the student satisfaction data, and a paired-t test is implemented to see if there was any difference between 'before' and 'after' e-learning. Lastly, some suggestions are made to promote the e-learning in university education.

  • With rapid development of Internet, new paradigm creation requirement about the education environment and method is increasing and also the e-learning to apply traditional education industry was introduced in many field of education. The research about a learner's satisfaction of the e-learning, aided by effort to spread this e-learning, have been processed much but most of these researches were intended for the enterprise and there are few for the high school. Therefore, in this study we proposed a model for evaluating the education satisfaction of the e-learning and analyzed the consciousness structure about the e-learning education satisfaction of the high school students using Fuzzy Structural Modeling method. Also, constructing an evaluation model considered the results of consciousness structure analysis, we evaluated the e-learning education satisfaction and showed a method which improved it by the sensitivity analysis.

  • As the e-Learning plays an increasingly larger important part in education and has been increased as an alternative to offline education, academic organizations are moving ahead to set guidelines for quality assurance in e-Learning. And various quality assurance techniques in e-Learning have been developed because the e-Learning does not always match well traditional models of teaching and learning, much care needs to be taken in the design, creation and implementation of service. But the present quality assurances in e-Learning which are focused in learning objects have much problems because they use partial and static management. In this thesis we suggested dynamic quality assurance using CLD(Causal Loop Diagram) in e-Learning. The suggested method has more efficiency than existing methods and it can provide important strategies with regard to administrative issues in e-Learning.

  • The purpose of this study supports the establishment of national e-learning policy by analyzing e-learning status and current status of higher education. Enhance the competitiveness of higher education through sharing information between universities. And to improve e-learning quality management. We surveyed the current status of e-learning in 341 universities and questionnaires about e-learning content, e-learning application form, e-learning platform status was surveyed through each school's learning management system. As a result, the infrastructure of e-learning, the rate of platforms secured, and the contents are increasing gradually each year; however, still, not all students can receive the services equally. Dedicated servers and learning management systems were secured by more than 70% of general universities. In the current development status of e-learning content, multimedia, animation, and text forms are gradually decreasing, but video contents are increasing every year. Most of the online contents were used in the e-learning contents by application type, and blended learning, flipped learning, and mooc is not yet actively used since they are still in the beginning stage. Learning analysis techniques should be supported in order to easily use online learning contents such as flipped learning and mooc. We suggest that the effectiveness of e-learning should be measured and the current state of learning analysis for customized learning should be done. This study aims to contribute to the improvement of competitiveness of higher education by sharing information about e-learning among universities as a basis for improvement of e-learning policy. Future tasks are to improve the customized learning environment by adding whether the system environment for learning analysis is provided at the time of the survey.

  • Purpose - One of the biggest problems in the e-learning distribution process is the lack of quality content and learners' discredit in e-learning content. In order to respond to the various demands of the corporate education field appropriately, it is necessary to search for directions of new e-learning models that are out of traditional e-learning contents. The purpose of this study is to identify recent trend issues related to corporate e-learning and to suggest directions for development. Research design, data, and methodology - Based on the literature review, trend issues that should be considered important in corporate e-learning were derived. Online survey was conducted to evaluate the importance-feasibility of each issue to 13 experts on e-learning and corporate education. The contents of the questionnaire are as follows: 1) recognition of importance and feasibility of trend issues to be considered important in the future corporate education field; 2) factors to be considered in developing future e-learning contents. Results - Six trends derived from a comprehensive literature review. The most important e-learning trends for corporate education field were 'mobile learning', 'micro learning', 'blended learning', 'social learning', 'adaptive learning', 'engaged learning'. As a result of evaluating the importance and feasibility of each issue, experts point out that 'mobile learning' and 'micro learning' should be actively considered for introduction and utilization at present. In addition, 'social learning' and 'blended learning' need to be actively considered in the near future. On the other hand, experts recognized that 'adaptive learning' and 'engaged learning' need to be prepared from a long-term perspective. Conclusions - There are two main reasons for this result. First, in corporate e-learning, it is important to 1) be able to update on time, 2) the connection with the workplace is important. Second, it requires realistic verification of the expected performance of the learning model. To be considered part of the future are as follows: First, the value and effectiveness of the new e-learning type should be studied. Seconds, e-learning contents should be developed through adopting SAM or Agile methodology. Through this process, we would be able to enhance the quality in e-learning content.

  • The purpose of the study was to suggest policy implications to support K-12 education, especially weak areas, through e-Learning, With the literature review and discussions among experts in the field of K-12 education, we identified three areas - support for neglected students, preference-based curriculum, and gifted education - as the ones e-Learning may contribute much, and discussed current situations and problems for the each area followed by policy implications accordingly. In addition, we suggest strategic bases for the policy implications, which were reform of the law and polices, contents sharing, and quality control of e-Learning.
