Analysis of Driving Performances on the Characteristics of Drivers (운전자의 특성에 따른 자동차 운전 수행도 분석)

  • Driving performance is characterized by many things such as driver's experience period, age, ability of information processing and reaction time of control devices and so forth. However, each factor of driving performance is needed to help and screen a poor driver for safe driving. In this paper, driving performance was estimated by reaction of manipulating brake, accelerator, steering wheel and speed. Subjects were grouped by experience of accident and age. Combinations of every group were analysed. For all the dependent variables, only steering wheel and speed were shown to have significant difference, which could be regarded as visual information of speed and direction were the important factors to drive safely. Especially for tile elderly, it is needed to enhance their ability of visual information processing that is to be decreased with aging. Therefore driving simulator to train and screen the poor driver should be studied.

  • From the complexities and functional/operational expectations, the compositions of PC devices requires Device Drivers to deliver full performance of the Hardware. However, due to quick transition of hardwares and expectations of better performance of the system. As a rest users are exposed of unexpected failures of device drivers which will cause malfunction of the system which consequently cause damages in quantity as well as quality wise. In this paper, the method of calculation and/or forecast to unexpected failure will be suggested. It may not be the answer but can be a guide to calculation to economic damage due to device driver failure.

  • This paper suggests the methodology for the ergonomic assessment of the navigation system driver that corresponds to the subjective measurement of the driver's mental workload by rating his or her own driving task. For this approach, Revision of NASA-Task Load Index (RNASA-TLX) was developed which translated and revised the version of NASA-TLX that is generally accepted an efficient and powerful method for evaluating the in-vehicle information system. To venify RNASA- TLS, an experiment was conducted in a real road situation, because the result of the laboratory approach is uncertain and has the differences from the real road test.

  • The demand of MOST interface module is increasing with car-multimedia network system. MOST devices consist of INIC part which controls MOST network and EHC part which is used by user. The efficient data communication between EHC and INIC demands implementation of a proper device driver. This paper presents a design method for I2C communication driver which is used for transmitting control messages between nodes of MOST network. For effetive I2C communication, we design driver with NetService API. For testing the experiment, we use the MOST audio interface deivce for porting driver sources and will develop various driver on MOST device based OS.

  • Wearable device, next generation smart device, is consistently growing. The flexible display will be a kind of display in the wearable device. The flexible display technology is now evolving with end-user requirement such as portability and easy installation. Previous wearable display products still have some difficulties in manufacturing and in flexibility whole device. But it can be a flexible display with LED device and utilized in commercial area. In this paper, we propose a driver to control the LED display and implement a flexible LED display system.

  • 현재 많은 사용자들이 정보 교육과 전달을 위하여 CD-ROM 이나 인터넷 환경과 그것의 응용을 이용 한다. 하지만, 현재 상황에서의 정보는 한 방향으로만 전달되며 사용자간 정보 공유와 공유된 정보에 대한 설명 수단은 극히 제한되어 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 공유된 미디어 객체에 대하여 Mouse Recording 및 Player를 통하여 공동작업에 참여한 사용자들이 동일 View를 통해 참조하고 고가의 어플리케이션을 직접 실습 및 참조할 수 있도록 설계, 구현되었다. 또 피교육자들의 컴퓨터를 제어함으로 분산 시스템 환경 하에서 원격교육 등에서 정보 교환 및 학습 수단으로 사용될 수 있다.

  • This paper investigates the ESD robustness of the stacked output driver with a 0.13um CMOS process. To represent an actual I/O system, we implemented stacked output driver circuits with pre-drivers and a rail-based power clamp. We implemented eight kinds of circuits varying pre-driver input connections and stacked driver size. The test circuits are examined with TLP measurements. It is shown that breakdown current and voltage can be increased by connecting the pre-driver input to a power supply and using stacked devices of a similar size. Based on the test results, design guideline is suggested to improve ESD robustness of the stacked output drivers.

  • This paper presents an Auto-Drive-Guidance System which provides a path to the destination with the shortest driving distance(or time), as well as service information such as the location of gas stations, hospitals, or police stations. This system displays on the monitor screen the best driving path to the destination, points the current car position on the map, informs the driver of current position by voice whenever the car passes well-known places, or displays the map the driver wishes to view. With this system, driving becomes more comfortable, and traffic jams will be greatly reduced. As a result, gasoline consumption will be reduced and so air pollution. The system can also be applied to such areas as communication network, geographic map, and tour information.

  • In this paper, we propose a method which implements warning to drivers through real-time analysis of risky and unexpected driver and vehicle behavior using only a smartphone without using data from digital tachograph and vehicle internal sensors. We performed the evaluation of our system that demonstrates the effectiveness and usefulness of our method for risky and unexpected driver and vehicle behavior using three information such as vehicle speed, azimuth and GPS data which are acquired from a smartphone sensors. We confirmed the results and developed the smartphone application for validate and conducted simulation using actual driving data. This novel functionality of the smartphone application enhances drivers' situational awareness, increasing safety and effectiveness of driving.

  • Vehicles are used in daily life as convenient transport, it is important to authenticate driver because vehicles are controlled by driver. Especially, in these days, there is a discussion on introduction of Driving Under the Influence car-starting locking device installation for preventing accidents caused by Driving Under the Influence of alcohol, these car-starting locking device installation requires a lot of money and time. Suitable user authentication for solving user's inconvenience during the disabled and men of national merit to receive discount benefits is needed. In this paper, For solving these problems, we propose the efficient vehicle control and user authentication system for preventing driving under the influence and providing the disabled and men of national merit benefit based on driver authentication by using user's smartphone NFC communication and user's biometric information.
