  • We fabricated a printed Ag:CNT film as a liquid sensor for the detection of HNS (hazardous and noxious substances) in seawater. The paste required for printing was prepared using Ag powder, MWCNTs (multi-walled carbon nanotubes), and an organic binder. The heat treatment process for binder removal was optimized. In order to confirm that the sensor was operational, the resistance change characteristics in brine (3.5%) and methanol (99.8%) were assessed at $20^{\circ}C$. EDL (electrical double layer) formation and redox reactivity were confirmed as the most important reactions affect each electrical property of sensor in brine and methanol. From these results, it was determined that printed Ag:CNT film can be applied as a sensor to detect HNS in seawater.

  • Most high-efficiency n-type silicon solar cells are based on the high quality surface passivation and ohmic contact between the emitter and the metal. Currently, various metalization methods such as screen printing using metal paste and physical vapor deposition are being used in forming electrodes of n-type silicon solar cell. In this paper, we analyzed the degradation factors induced by the front electrode formation process using e-beam evaporation of double passivation structure of p-type emitter and $Al_2O_3/SiN_x$ for high efficiency solar cell using n-type bulk silicon. In order to confirm the cause of the degradation, the passivation characteristics of each electrode region were determined through a quasi-steady-state photo-conductance (QSSPC).

  • Despite the significant increase of Korean contractors in the international construction market, many SMCCs (Small & Medium Construction Companies) have suffered in the global financial crisis, and some of them have been kicked out of the international market after experiencing huge losses on projects. SMCCs face obstacles in the international market, such as an insufficient ability to gather information and inappropriate management of associated risks, which lead to difficulties in establishing effective business strategies. In other words, making immature decisions without an effective business strategy may cause not only the failure of one project but also the bankruptcy of the SMCC. To overcome this, the research presented herein aims to propose a decision support system for SMCCs, which would screen projects and make a go/no-go decision at the early stages of international projects. The proposed system comprises a double axis: (1) a profit prediction model, which evaluates 10 project properties using an objective methodology based on a historical project performance database and roughly suggests expected profit rate, and (2) a feasibility assessment model, which evaluates 17 project environment factors in a subjective and quantitative methodology based on experience and supervision. Finally, a web-based system is established to enhance the practical usability, which is expected to be a good reference for inexperienced SMCCs to make proper decisions and establish effective business strategies.

  • This paper designed a voltage feedback driving circuit to compensate for the characteristic deviation of the Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode driving Thin Film Transistor. This paper describes a stable and fast circuit by applying charge sharing and polar stabilization methods. A 12-inch Organic Light Emitting Diode with a Double Wide Ultra eXtended Graphics Array resolution creates a screen distortion problem for line parasitism, and charge sharing and polar stabilization structures were applied to solve the problem. By applying Charge Sharing, all data lines are shorted at the same time and quickly positioned as the average voltage to advance the compensated change time of the gate voltage in the next operation period. A buffer circuit and a current pass circuit were added to lower the Amplifier resistance connected to the line as a polar stabilization method. The advantage of suppressing the Ringing of the driving Thin Film Transistor can be obtained by increasing the stability. As a result, a circuit was designed to supply a stable current to the Organic Light Emitting Diode even if the characteristic deviation of the driving Thin Film Transistor occurs.

  • To reduce manufacturing costs of crystalline silicon solar cells, silicon wafers have become thinner. In relation to this, the properties of the aluminium-back surface field (Al-BSF) are considered an important factor in solar cell performance. Generally, screen-printing and a rapid thermal process (RTP) are utilized together to form the Al-BSF. This study evaluates Al-BSF formation on a (111) textured back surface compared with a (100) flat back surface with variation of ramp up rates from 18 to $89^{\circ}C$/s for the RTP annealing conditions. To make different back surface morphologies, one side texturing using a silicon nitride film and double side texturing were carried out. After aluminium screen-printing, Al-BSF formed according to the RTP annealing conditions. A metal etching process in hydrochloric acid solution was carried out to assess the quality of Al-BSF. Saturation currents were calculated by using quasi-steady-state photoconductance. The surface morphologies observed by scanning electron microscopy and a non-contacting optical profiler. Also, sheet resistances and bulk carrier concentration were measured by a 4-point probe and hall measurement system. From the results, a faster ramp up during Al-BSF formation yielded better quality than a slower ramp up process due to temperature uniformity of silicon and the aluminium surface. Also, in the Al-BSF formation process, the (111) textured back surface is significantly affected by the ramp up rates compared with the (100) flat back surface.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of nonspecific and specific cue on decision making during situation awareness. Participants were 36 male college students who were randomly assigned to one of three groups: (1) nonspecific situation awareness, (2) specific situation awareness, and (3) a control group. Every participant was in the level 3-4.5 according to American National Tennis Level Program. Participants were asked to watch tennis single defence, single offence, double defence rally and when the screen stops, they were required to push the button(left, middle, or right) appropriate for the ball's direction to return as soon as possible. The experiment was designed to be analyzed for group(3)${\times}$condition(3)${\times}$area(7) using three-way ANOVA. The dependent variables were reaction time, accuracy rate, and amplitude and latency of P300. The result showed that the latency of the nonspecific situation awareness group and the specific situation awareness group was shorter and their amplitudes were higher than the control group. Fz, Cz, Pz were prominent among areas, and the single defence condition was more prominent than the single offence and the double defence condition. As a result of the study, it can be suggested that the information about situation awareness provided beforehand directly affects the brain's information processing. In addition, it shows that ERP can be a useful index for studying situation awareness.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of implicit and explicit situation awareness instruction on decision making and event related brain potentials. Psychophysiological data obtained from 36 intermediated level tennis players whose National Tennis Rating Program(NTTP) belong 2 to 2.5 were compared. Participants were randomly assigned to one of three experimental groups: (1) implicit situation awareness, (2) explicit situation awareness, and (3) control group. A total of 90 clips were presented via a beam project screen, and participants pressed one of three jelly bean buttons to indicate the direction of ball hit. Dependent measures were the latencies and amplitudes of P300 on Pz, Cz, and Fz. The results of this study indicated that participants in the implicit situation awareness produced tenser P300, than participants in the explicit situation awareness group. The findings also indicated that single defense showed longer P300 latencies than single attack as well as double defense. The P300-amplitude of treatment groups were longer than control group. The Cz area showed shorer P300 latencies than Pz and Fz areas. In addition, single defense situation demonstrated longer P300 latencies than single attack and double defence situations. Based on this study, it is believed that implicit and explicit situation awareness instruction influence decision making in different ways.

  • This study uses the bidet 4D double diamond design process model to propose an improvement for "senior-oriented bidet product service design" that reflects the characteristics and needs of seniors. This study was based on the product service system concept. To this end, qualitative research on seniors was conducted to derive user value factors, and, based on this, product service ideas were discovered, and a prototype reflecting the usefulness review of a working-level expert group was proposed. First, a "smart application service for user-customized function setting guide" was proposed. A bidet incorporating Internet of Things technology and a smart phone are linked to provide an app service that automatically interprets user characteristic information and information on bidet products to guide customized functions. Second, a control panel and remote control user interface to "user-oriented product service interface" was proposed. In consideration of the usability and cognitive ability of seniors, a simple and intuitive physical user interface such as a configuration centered on main functions, button arrangement according to task sequence, and a touch screen remote control was presented. Third, we proposed a "bidet care service linked with products and health/hygiene care" that provides a wide range of services such as user health and hygiene, cleanliness, entertainment, etc., in addition to regular bidet product service. This study proposed a product-based service design methodology that can improve user experience and relationship quality by discovering and improving the pain points and needs of users (seniors) in the process of using bidet products (before, during, and after use).

  • Gibberella zeae (anamorph: Fusarium graminearum) is an important pathogen of cereal crops. This fungus produces a broad range of secondary metabolites, including polyketides such as aurofusarin (a red pigment) and zearalenone (an estrogenic mycotoxin), which are important mycological characteristics of this species. A screen of G. zeae insertional mutants, generated using a restriction enzyme-mediated integration (REMI) procedure, led to the isolation of a mutant (Z43R606) that produced neither aurofusarin nor zearalenone yet showed normal female fertility and virulence on host plants. Outcrossing analysis confirmed that both the albino and zearalenone-deficient mutations are linked to the insertional vector in Z43R606. Molecular characterization of Z43R606 revealed a deletion of at least 220 kb of the genome at the vector insertion site, including the gene clusters required for the biosynthesis of aurofusarin and zearalenone, respectively. A re-creation of the insertional event of Z43R606 in the wild-type strain demonstrated that the 220-kb deletion is responsible for the phenotypic changes in Z43R606 and that a large region of genomic DNA can be efficiently deleted in G. zeae by double homologous recombination. The results showed that 52 putative genes located in the deleted genomic region are not essential for phenotypes other than the production of both aurofusarin and zearalenone. This is the first report of the molecular characterization of a large genomic deletion in G. zeae mediated by the REMI procedure.
