The purpose of this study is to develope instructional strategies and assessment model for distance learning in interior design education in Korea. Literature from various sources were examined to provide guidelines for instructional and technical strategies, communication system, and administrative process. Strategies and assessment model for transition to distance learning from goal setting to program evaluation were introduced. The results of this study indicated that distance learning in interior design education is optimized when applied in studio critique, portfolio production, and professional practice and with other traditional programs depending on the characteristics of the instructional materials. It is suggested for further studies that various distance learning programs based on instructional theories to be conducted and evaluated in different areas of interior design education for their maximum application as instructional tool.

Internet accelerates the speed of Information society causing changes the method and purpose of education. The word "life-long learning" is no longer a new tenn for many of the world citizens, and they ask for a system to fulfill their need to learn. Information communication technology enables and provides technical base for such needs. Web based cyber education, especially, is known to be an important and alternative instructional method to mediate learning at a distance. At the present, however, with the breakneck pace of growth and interests on Web-based distance education, there are no guidelines provided to assure the quality. In this study, we have identified guiding principles to design and develop quality assurance model for effective distance education. This is critical, especially in Korea, since 9 distance. education institutions have been accredited to offer degree programs starting 2001 spring semester. Using this model, distance education providers and consumers can develop or select effective on-line courses.

e-Learning has brought dramatic changes in education system for many companies in Korea. Many researchers and practitioners believe that e-Learning will be the main educational system for every companies in the world. e-Learning is an alternative education system, which includes computer based learning, web based learning, virtual classroom, and distance learning. e-learning has been expected to impact every educational sectors including Extension services. This study intends to identify and suggest some implications for successful e-Learning implementation of Extension education by investigating the successful factors of enterprises' e-Learning system, where outstanding results have be shown.

Recently the number of lectures of offered as part of distance education courses is increasing due to the necessity of continuing education in this era of rapidly changing technologies. To promote this, Web-based distance education systems have been developed and put into practical use. To step further, we propose a virtual space, distance education platform called interactive virtual laboratory. The proposed system is expected to overcome many obstacles in performing the unit operations laboratory at the current setting. The server/client system implementation was programmed with ASP and Visual Basic. The availability of simple and efficient technological supports for dissemination and remote use of virtual lab systems supports more experimental practices regardless of the number of participating students and their locations. Variety of instruments, process equipments and lab procedures are being added to make it a complete package of virtual lab fur undergraduate unit operations course.

본 논문에서는 실시간 원격 수업(Real-Time Distance Education) 환경 하에서 학생들의 수업 집중 및 효율적인 교수를 위한 버즈학습(Buzz Learning)의 필요성을 제안한다. 이 학습법은 실시간 원격 수업에서 일어날 수 있는 집중력 저하 및 수업참가율 저조를 최소화하고, 학습자 간의 협동 및 상호작용을 향상시킨다. 또한 버즈법에 의한 그룹 편성 및 학습형태는 각 그룹에서 토의한 결과를 다시 전체가 모여 토의함으로써 소집단의 토의결과를 종합 정리하고 결론을 도출해 내는 집단 토의 형태를 띤다. 토의학습은 흔히 몇몇 학생의 경우 토의에 참가하지 않거나 또는 한 명이 독무대화하는 경향이 있는데 여기서는 그룹 전원이 토론에 적극 참여할 수 있게 한다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 원격 수업을 통하여 이뤄지는 실제 강의에 적용된 버즈 학습이 학생들의 수업참여도 및 학습 향상 면에서 우수함을 보여준다.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between physical factors (X-factor, X-factor stretch) and club factors (club speed, ball speed, club path, smash factor, vertical launch angle, spin rate, flight time, total length) during impact and it affect on the total distance of the ball during a golf driver swing. Background : There were not enough studies that analyzed the correlation between physical factors(X-factor, X-factor stretch) and club factors(club speed, ball speed, club path, smash factor, launch angle, spin rate, flight time, total length) during a purpose swing to increase total distance. Method : For this study, 9 right handed professional male golfers (KPGA) were chosen. The test subject group used their own drivers and each took a total of 10 swings. These swings consisted of 5 purpose swings to increase total distance and 5 normal swings. Results : The purpose swing to increase total distance showed larger physical factors(X-factor, X-factor stretch) compared to a normal swing however the results were not statistically significant. Total distance increased during a purpose swing as a result of ball and club speed. Conclusion : The results showed that club factors, ball speed and club speed contributed the most in affecting the total distance of the ball during a purpose swing.

The article considers the training, competitiveness of specialists, professional mobility, professionalism and competence of specialists in the context of distance learning. The advantages of distance learning are shown. The characteristic features of distance learning in the preparation of students and in the implementation of these technologies in the educational process of higher educational institutions are determined. Competitiveness, professional mobility, professionalism and competence of a specialist are qualities that determine a person's life and work success. Professional mobility is interpreted as a systemic quality of a specialist's personality, which includes a whole range of knowledge, skills, abilities, personal qualities, value orientations, and so on. The vision of mobility of specialists by foreign scientists is presented. It is noted that the classification of professional mobility presented in the article makes it possible to organize various movements from a single position, to present them as separate manifestations of the general process of professional and pedagogical mobility, to determine which type of mobility ensures the performance of certain social functions. It was found that mobility can be differentiated into differentiated and intergeneration. According to the subject, individual and group mobility are distinguished; according to the direction - internal and external. The classification of employees according to their attitude to mobility is shown, which can be divided into the following groups: actually mobile; potentially mobile; actually stable; potentially stable.

In the distance education systems, there are limited things while performing educational activities because there are to be problems in structural features of the Web. HTTP, a connection-less protocol, performs requests of client, however, does not hold on the status. Thus, by features of the Web, it is difficult to hold on the connection of learners and trace information asked by learners. Moreover, these problems make impossible not only a learner's connection continuity but also on-line interaction among the learners in the distance education. This thesis developed CHTP, an connection-based hypertext transfer protocol, based on HTTP and a new platform of distance education in order to track activities of learners. The developed web extension platform will make it easy to build up system for being helpful in a distance education because this thesis proposes a standardized way in the protocol.

Online education, commonly referred to as distance education, has developed rapidly. However, it is questionable whether such distance education has been applied to various educational fields and has achieved satisfactory results in terms of learning effect. One of the reasons for not maximizing the benefits of distance education is non-dynamicity in the production and application of educational content. Educational contents production is made up of collaborative work between the instructor who is the contents expert and the developer who is the production expert. For this reason, existing researches have also concentrated on the improvement of each educational effect. In this paper, we propose to replace a production expert from a developer to an instructor. At this time, the important point is that the educational contents produced by the instructor, who is a development non-expert, should still be able to be maintained with high-quality contents utilizing the characteristics of the web. For this purpose, the production system was developed based on open source to maintain the quality similar to the educational contents developed by the production expert. This will increase the effectiveness of education by applying the developed Smart-Blended Learning System to various educational sites.

With enforcement of information usage education since 1997, teachers have been given many different types of training to improve teacher's expertise. Especially, It has established distance education centers as an attempt to construct advanced training system in digital information society to solve the problems with current attendance-based training, and then its number has increased until now, total 53 institutes are on the list at the moment (Sep.2004). In this research, it has conducted a survey and analysis on educational contents and general management state, based on the curriculum of distance training center, for making its quality improvement plan including mutual contentment of both provider and demander for elementary school teachers. Examining the survey, it is expected for providers to accommodate persistent feedback to reflect periodically changing needs and various interest. From users' perspective, they wanted varied programs to choose in many other subjects for enhancing its expertise, rather than taking classes just for evaluation.
