  • The purpose of this study is to help to improve the method of math teaching by analysing how learner-centered teaching method offsets mathematical creativity and mathematical disposition. For this purpose, research questions are established as follows; (1) Mathematical creativity between open-ended learning activity approach(OLAA) and general classroom-based instruction(GCI) shows any difference? (2) Mathematical disposition between OLAA and GCI shows any difference? The results obtained through this study were as follows: (1) There was significant difference between OLAA group and CCI group in mathematical creativity. This means that open-ended learning activity approach was generally more effective in improving mathematical creativity than general classroom-based instruction. (2) There was no significant difference between OLAA group and GCI group in mathematical disposition. But the average scores of mathematical disposition except mathematical confidence improved a little. So we can say that open-ended learning activity approach brought an positive influence on students' mathematical disposition. The results obtained in this study suggest that the OLAA can be used to cultivate the children's mathematical creativity and disposition. Therefore, I suggest that teachers should use the OLAA to improve the children's mathematical creativity and disposition.

  • The goal of this study is to examine the impact of self-esteem, self-efficacy, and attributional disposition on communication apprehension in college students. The research problems were verified by correlation analysis and multivariate regression analysis. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 239 college students. The findings are as follows: First, the higher level group in the self-esteem and self-efficacy have lower communication apprehension scores than the lower level group. Particularly, it is found that self-confidence in self-efficacy variables has the greatest effect on communication apprehension. Second, college students with high internal attributional disposition tend to feel less communication apprehension, while college students with high other's attributional disposition and accidental attributional disposition tend to have higher communication apprehension. Third, as a result of examining the relative effects of self-esteem, self-efficacy, and attributional disposition on communication apprehension, self-efficacy is found to have the greatest effect.

  • The current research examines whether consumers' preference for credit card benefits (i.e., general credit card benefits vs. credit card benefits related to green life) differs according to their pro-environmental disposition. Specifically, we predict that for consumers with high (vs. low) pro-environmental disposition, their preference for credit card benefits related to green life will be higher, while preference for general credit card benefits will not be different between low and high pro-environmental disposition groups. An online survey (N = 487) was conducted to test the hypotheses. Consistent with the hypotheses, the results indicate that (1) respondents with high pro-environmental donation intention, as compared to those with low pro-environmental donation intention, had higher preference for credit card benefits related to green life; and (2) there was no significant difference in preference for general credit card benefits between high and low pro-environmental donation intention groups. We suggest an important insight into how credit card companies approaching ESG issues can increase their consumers' preference for credit card benefits relevant to green life, considering consumers' individual differences such as pro-environmental disposition.

The subjects were college students majoring in nursing in Gwangju. The data collected was for 263 such students. It was analyzed with SPSS 23.0 for windows. To examine the mediating effect, the study used Sobel. The findings were as follows. First, critical thinking disposition positively influences career preparation behavior of nursing students. Secondly, self-leadership and career decision-making self-efficacy show a complete mediating effect on the relation between critical thinking disposition and career preparation behavior in nursing students. These findings suggest that in order to promote career preparation behavior of nursing students, educational programs should improve subjects on critical thinking disposition. • This study aims to identify the relationship between stress and feeling of happiness among high school students, and to examine the double mediating model of subjective well-being and gratitude disposition on that relationship. Participants of this study were 245 male and female high school students. Perceived Stress Scale, Satisfaction with Life Scale, Emotion Frequency Test, Gratitude Questionnaire-6, and Subjective Happiness Scale were used for this study. To analyse a sequential double mediating effect, PROCESS Macro 3.5 Model 6 was used. Results revealed that stress was negatively correlated with subjective well-being, gratitude disposition, and feeling of happiness among high school students. And, subjective well-being was positively correlated with gratitude disposition and feeling of happiness, while gratitude disposition was positively correlated with feeling of happiness. It was found that subjective well-being and gratitude disposition were sequentially mediating stress and feeling of happiness among high school students. Because these findings suggest that subjective well-being and gratitude disposition play important roles in adolescents' happiness, it is necessary to promote their subjective well-being and gratitude disposition.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the effect of a situational module learning course on critical thinking disposition and metacognition in sophomore nursing students. Methods: This study was a non-equivalent control-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design; the participants included 64 nursing students (32 in the experimental and 32 in the control group) from two Korean universities. Critical thinking disposition and metacognition between the control and intervention groups were measured before and after program participation. Data collection was conducted between September 1 and December 15, 2016. An independent t-test was used to determine differences in critical thinking disposition and metacognition between the groups and Pearson's correlations were measured for correlation with critical thinking disposition and metacognition. Results: The intervention group showed higher critical thinking disposition (t=3.16, p=.002); intellectual integrity (t=2.85, p=.006); and open-mindedness (t=3.30, p=.002) relative to those of the control group. However, there were no statistical differences in metacognition between the two groups (t=-0.14, p=.888). A significant positive correlation between metacognition and critical thinking disposition was found. (r=.62, p<.001). Conclusion: The situational module learning course developed in this study could be used to promote critical thinking disposition in nursing students.

  • This study was conducted to examine the moderating effect of gratitude disposition as a link between stress and happiness in nursing students. The subjects were 275 nursing students at a university in G-Gun. Data were collected from October 4, 2018 to October 10, 2018 and analyzed by using hierarchical regression analysis. As a result, the final model (Model 3) in regression explained 26.2% of variance in happiness. Stress was an important factor influencing happiness. Stress ${\times}$ gratitude disposition interaction was significant for happiness after adjusting control variables. Gratitude disposition moderated the association between stress and happiness in nursing students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an intervention program to reduce the stress and increase the gratitude disposition to enhance the happiness of nursing students.
