Direct Position Determination of Coherently Distributed Sources based on Compressed Sensing with a Moving Nested Array

  • The existing direct position determinations(DPD) for coherently distributed(CD) sources are mostly applicable for uniform linear array(ULA), which result in a low degree of freedom(DOF), and it is difficult for them to realize the effective positioning in underdetermined condition. In this paper, a novel DPD algorithm for coherently distributed sources based on compressed sensing with a moving nested array is present. In this algorithm, the nested array is introduced to DPD firstly, and a positioning model of signal moving station based on nested array is constructed. Owing to the features of coherently distributed sources, the cost function of compressed sensing is established based on vectorization. For the sake of convenience, unconstrained transformation and convex transformation of cost functions are carried out. Finally, the position coordinates of the distribution source signals are obtained according to the theory of optimization. At the same time, the complexity is analyzed, and the simulation results show that, in comparison with two-step positioning algorithms and subspace-based algorithms, the proposed algorithm effectively solves the positioning problem in underdetermined condition with the same physical element number.

  • 본 연구는 도로연장측면에서 본선에 비해 상대적으로 연결로에서 발생하는 사고빈도가 높고, 교통사고가 증가하는 추세인 고속도로 연결로의 교통사고 예측모형의 개발에 초점을 두었다. 연결로 유형별(직결, 준직결, 루프)로 통계적으로 유의한 사고인자를 선정하고, 사고율과의 관계가 비선형 임을 분석하여 변수를 변형(Variables Transformation)하여 All possible 방식으로 예측모형을 개발하고, 통계적 진단 및 검증을 거쳐 유의성을 확인하였으며 이에 기존 개발 모형에 비해 예측력이 더욱 우수한 결과를 보였다. 개발된 사고예측모형은 보다 비용면에서 효율적이고, 안전한 트럼펫형 IC 연결로의 설계와 연결로 교통사고 원인분석에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

대표적 위성영상 카메라 모델링 알고리즘들의 비교연구 (Camera Modelling of Linear Pushbroom Images - Quality analysis of various algorithms)

  • Pushbroom위성 영상의 카메라 모델링을 위한 대표적 방법들을 구현하고 성능을 분석하였다. 구현된 모델들은 벡터 진행 모델, Gugan and Dowman(GD)의 모델, 상용 소프트웨어의 근간을 이루는 Orun and Natarajan(ON)의 모델, Direct Linear Transformation(DLT)모델이다. 서울/경기지역 의 SPOT 영상에 대해 지상기준점의 수를 1개에서 23개까지 변화하면서 카메라 모델을 수립하였다. 지상기준점이 6개 미만인 경우에는 벡터 진행 모델이 최고 2.7픽셀의 정확도를 보인 반면 이외의 모델들은 사용할 수 없다. 6개 이상인 경우에는 ON모델이 최고 1픽셀의 정확도로 가장 우수한 성능을 보인다. 이때 벡터 진행 모델은 최고 1.5픽셀의 정확도를 갖는다. GD모델은 모델 변수간의 상관관계로 인하여 대부분의 경우 모델 수립에 실패하였다. DLT모델의 정확도는 특정 지상기준점의 포함여부에 따라 1∼4픽셀 사이에서 진동한다. 모델링의 부산물로서 벡터 진행 모델은 위성궤도 추정에 응용할 수 있는 장점이 있다 향후 연구 과제로는 위에서 열거한 정확도로부터 지상기준점에 내재한 오차 제거, 벡터 진행 모델의 성능 향상 등이 있다.

B-spline 곡선을 power 기저형태의 구간별 다항식으로 바꾸는 Direct Expansion 알고리듬 (A Direct Expansion Algorithm for Transforming B-spline Curve into a Piecewise Polynomial Curve in a Power Form.)

  • Usual practice of the transformation of a B-spline curve into a set of piecewise polynomial curves in a power form is done by either a knot refinement followed by basis conversions or applying a Taylor expansion on the B-spline curve for each knot span. Presented in this paper is a new algorithm, called a direct expansion algorithm, for the problem. The algorithm first locates the coefficients of all the linear terms that make up the basis functions in a knot span, and then the algorithm directly obtains the power form representation of basis functions by expanding the summation of products of appropriate linear terms. Then, a polynomial segment of a knot span can be easily obtained by the summation of products of the basis functions within the knot span with corresponding control points. Repeating this operation for each knot span, all of the polynomials of the B-spline curve can be transformed into a power form. The algorithm has been applied to both static and dynamic curves. It turns out that the proposed algorithm outperforms the existing algorithms for the conversion for both types of curves. Especially, the proposed algorithm shows significantly fast performance for the dynamic curves.

특성행렬 직접 규명법에 의한 강체특성의 실험적 추정 (Experimental Identification of Rigid Body Properties by Direct System Identification Method)

  • An experimental method to identify the rigid properties (mass, moment of inertia, center of mass) of mounted structures is presented. A direct system identification method is developed and applied to identify the mass, damping and stiffness martix directly from the translational response of vibration testing. Conventional method is sensitive to noise since it needs artificial rotational response of temporary center of mass which is made by the linear transformation of translational response. A presented method needs only the translational response, and it is robuster to noise than conventional method. Several experimental and numerical implementations show the presented method is effective.

  • In this study, we analyzed the accuracy of the conversion from DLT parameters to physical camera parameters and optimized the use of DLT model for non-metric cameras in photogrammetric tasks. Using the simulated data, we computed two sets of physical camera parameters from DLT parameters and Bundle adjustment for various cases. Comparing two results based on the RMSE values of check points, we optimized the arrangement of GCPs for DLT.

  • The control of a pH value in radwaste treatment process is difficult due to the nonlinearity of the titration curve and its strong sensivity to disturbances. This paper describes an adaptive control strategy which is model-based and allows for direct use of available measurements. This algorithm forces the nonlinear process to follow a desired linear system trajectory, and were applied to the control of a simulated pilot-scale pH process. The simulation study showed that it has the potential advantage over the transformation methods that control effort saturation can be accomodated readily.

  • The essential tasks to operate the welding robot are the acquisition of the position and/or shape of the parent metal. For the seam tracking or the robot automation, many kinds of contact and non-contact sensors are used. Recently, the vision sensor is most popular. In this paper, the development of the system which measures the profile of the welding part is described. The total system will be assembled into a compact module which can be attached to the head of welding robot system. This system uses the line-type structured laser diode and the vision sensor It implemented Direct Linear Transformation (DLT) for the camera calibration as well as radial distortion correction. The three dimensional shape of the parent metal is obtained after simple linear transformation and therefore, the system operates in real time. Some experiments are carried out to evaluate the performance of the developed system.

  • The robot systems are widely used in the many industrial field as well as welding manufacturing. The essential tasks to operate the welding robot are the acquisition of the position and/or shape of the parent metal. For the seam tracking or the robot tracking, many kinds of contact and non-contact sensors are used. Recently, the vision is most popular. In this paper, the development of the system which measures the shape of the welding part is described. This system uses the line-type structured laser diode and the vision sensor. It includes the correction of radial distortion which is often found in the image taken by the camera with short focal length. The Direct Linear Transformation (DLT) method is used for the camera calibration. The three dimensional shape of the parent metal is obtained after simple linear transformation. Some demos are shown to describe the performance of the developed system.

  • 만일 임의의 지형을 다수의 계단으로 근사하면 이 지형 위를 지나는 선형 파랑의 변형을 계산하기 위해 변분근사법과 고유함수 전개법을 사용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 반사율과 투과율을 계산하기 위해 변분근사식과 연계된 산란체법을 제시하였다. 본 기법은 O'Hare and Davies의 변환행렬 축차법보다 간단하고 직접적인 방법임을 보였다. 또한 수 개의 수치실험을 실시하여 기존 결과와 거의 같은 결과를 얻었다.
