In this paper, we propose a Flow Based Waiting Time Priority (FB-WTP) scheduler that supports the proportional delay differentiated services between classes. Existing scheduling algorithms utilize the configuration of scheduler, which is operated as class unit, applied to wired network. However, FB-WTP scheduler is operated as flow unit and can take advantage of multi-flow diversity effect in time-varying channel state environment. As a result, FB-WTP improves the average queueing delay on each class as well as supporting the average queueing delay ratio between classes. It also solves the HOL packet blocking problem implicitly. Simulation results show that FB-WTP scheduler has better system queueing delay performance than Look-ahead Waiting Time Priority (LWTP) scheduler and supports the larger queueing delay ratio between classes that network operator set.

An wired ship area network has functionality of remote control and autonomous management of various sensors and instruments embedded or boarded in a ship. For such environment, the DiffServ (Differentiated Services) realizes that the high-speed real-time flow with the higher priority has the guaranteed minimum data rate and is delivered faster. As a result of this DiffServ effect, the intelligent Ship Area Networks can be implemented. In this paper, an packet drop technique is proposed to outperform the previous RIO (RED In and Out) drop mechanism for DiffServ in ship area networks. the proposed packet drop technique does not manage the individual flows and divides them into several flow groups according to a criterion. And it guarantees the fairness between individual flows in the same QoS class through the group-based control. In simulation results of the proposed packet drop technique, the link utilization decreases than RIO. But it guarantees more data rates to DiffServ flows passing multiple bottleneck links.

Over for the past 10 years, the increase in geometric progression for the internet traffic, has allowed the IP protocol framework to be the most important network technology. In addition, the internet service is being developed as a service mode differentiated, aiming to support the new-mode real-time multimedia services such as internet phone, video conference, cyber reality, and internet game, focusing on offering a latest service. These days, aiming to solve the need for broad bandwidth along with guaranteeing QoS, the WDM technology of offering multiple gigabit wavelengths is emerging as the core technology of next-generation optical internet backbone network. In the next-generation optical internet backbone network based on WDM, the QoS framework is one of fore subjects aiming to offer a service of guaranteeing QoS This study analyzes the requirements of performance related to QoS framework in IP Subnet and in WDM optical backbone network, and suggests optical QoS service framework differentiated. in order to guarantee end-to-end QoS through the next-generation optical internet backbone network, using GMPLS control protocol.
The Internet users as well as network providers are eager to have different qualities of service among users beyond the best-effort. In this paper, we propose a scheduling algorithm that provides a differentiated service in the granularity of user sessions. The proposed algorithm is a Hierarchical Deficit Round-Robin (H-DRR) algorithm that is an extension of an existing DRR algorithm. A main advantage is that H-DRR provides service differentiation for throughput-intensive applications such as FTP as well as delay-sensitive applications such as telnet or VoIP without distinguishing the types of applications. The most importance in providing a service differentiation in term of network providers is to have controllability and predictability. We show that H-DRR is superior to DRR in terms of controllability and predictability through both mathematical analysis and simulation experiments. Nevertheless, H-DRR requires O(1) complexity for implementation.

A 'VPN over Intemet' has the benefit of being cost-effective and flexible. However, it has difficulties providing sufficient QoS and adequate transmission capacity for high bandwidth service. Given the increasing demand for high bandwidth Internet and QoS assurances in a 'VPN over Internet', IP/GMPLS based on a control plane combined with a high bandwidth, DWDM optical network is seen as a very favorable anroach for realizing the future 'OVPN over IP/GMPLS over DWDM'. Within this architecture, providing QoS guaranteed multimedia services with a differentiated QoS guaranteed protocol framework with QoS recovery is one of the key issues to implement. Therefore, in this paper, we suggest the entire interoperability procedure of control protocols based on differentiated optical QoS service (DOQOS) classes for providing end-to-end QoS in an 'OVPN over IP/GMPLS over DWDM' architecture.
The subscriber access network is cause of the bottleneck phenomenon because equipment and infrastructure were not originally designed for busty high-bandwidth traffic between MAN(Metro Area Network) and LAN(Local Area Network). Whether riding on shorter copper drops or optical fiber, Ethernet is emerging as the future broadband protocol of choice, offering plug and play simplicity, and low cost. EPON(Ethernet Passive Optical Network) combines point-to-multipoint optical infrastructure with low-cost high-bandwidth Ethernet. The future broadband access network will be a combination of point-to-point and point-to-multipoint Ethernet, optimized for transporting IP data, as well as time critical voice and video. EPON is being considered as a novel communications infrastructure for next-generation broadband access network for the convergence of low-cost Ethernet equipment and low-cost fiber infrastructure. But, EPON has a problem with duplex multimedia services. It is the insufficiency of bandwidth for upstream. Because all ONUs use a shared transmission media for upstream. In this paper, we addressed the problem of upstream bandwidth in EPONs. We presented a wavelength division EPON supporting QoS in the differentiated services framework.
Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is gaining global attention as it can automatically generate sentences, images, and voices that humans previously generated. In particular, ChatGPT, a representative generative AI service, shows proactivity and accuracy differentiated from existing chatbot services, and the number of users is rapidly increasing in a short period of time. Despite this growing interest in generative AI services, most preceding studies are still in their infancy. Therefore, this study utilized LDA topic modeling and keyword network diagrams to derive success factors for generative AI services and to propose successful business strategies based on them. In addition, using ChatGPT, a new research methodology that complements the existing text-mining method, was presented. This study overcomes the limitations of previous research that relied on qualitative methods and makes academic and practical contributions to the future development of generative AI services.

The differentiated services(DiffServ) architecture provides packet level service differentiation through the simple and predefined Per-Hop Behaviors(PHBs). The Assured Forwarding(AF) PHB proposed as the assured services uses the RED-in/out(RIO) approach to ensusre the expected capacity specified by the service profile. However, the AF PHB fails to give good QoS and fairness to the TCP flows. This is because OUT(out- of-profile) packet droppings at the RIO buffer are unfair and sporadic during only network congestion while the TCP's congestion control algorithm works with a different round trip time(RTT). In this paper, we propose an Adaptive Regulating Drop(ARD) marker, as a novel dropping strategy at the ingressive edge router, to improve TCP fairness in assured services without a decrease in the link utilization. To drop packets pertinently, the ARD marker adaptively changes a Temporary Permitted Rate(TPR) for aggregate TCP flows. To reduce the excessive use of greedy TCP flows by notifying droppings of their IN packets constantly to them without a decrease in the link utilization, according to the TPR, the ARD marker performs random early fair remarking and dropping of their excessive IN packets at the aggregate flow level. Thus, the throughput of a TCP flow no more depends on only the sporadic and unfair OUT packet droppings at the RIO buffer in the core router. Then, the ARD marker regulates the packet transmission rate of each TCP flow to the contract rate by increasing TCP fairness, without a decrease in the link utilization.

Ethernet passive optical networks (EPONs) are an emerging access network technology which has a point-to-multipoint topology. EPONs operate point-to-multipoint in the OLT-ONU direction, and point-to-point in the ONU-OLT direction. To support point-to-point emulation and shared LAM emulation, EPONs use multi-point control protocol (MPCP). The MPCP uses logical link identification (LLID) field for frame tagging and filtering between the OLT and ONUs. In this paper, I propose logical-group identification (LGID) for logical link-based multicasting or VLAN services in EPONs. Using LGID with new frame tagging and filtering rules, EPONs support differentiated multimedia broadcasting or multicasting services. Additionally, EPONs can support logical link-based VLAN services that divides ONUs into several subsets.

The objective of this paper is to evaluate the equilibrium price between PSTN and VoIP telephony services in the case of non-linear utility function. Currently there are two types of wired phone services we are known PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). The PSTN telephony which provide high quality service and VoIP which provides relatively low quality service form a vertically differentiated oligopoly. Therefore, the evaluation of the equilibrium price between PSTN and VoIP services is very important to wired phone service providers. The equilibrium price depends on the state of the service cost function has been proved different value. This paper was evaluated each equilibrium price for the state of the linear cost function and non-linear cost function. Subsequently, this paper analyzed the demand of both services and the equilibrium profit which can maximize the profit of both service providers.
