The purpose of this study is to explore the ways of savoring of physical activities in middle-aged women based on the savoring theory of positive psychology. The first step was to understand the background of exercise participation experience and to provide basic information about savoring method. In the second stage, we used the open questionnaire to collect the savoring methods used during the exercise, and then, in-depth interviews were used to specify the savoring method. Open questionnaires were categorized according to the similarity of content and then nominated based on the savoring method. In-depth interviews were conducted to explore the cases of each method in detail. As a result, middle-aged women were found to use the savoring methods such as sharing with others, celebrating, comparing, feeling fine, blessing, expressing with behavior in physical activity. Through in-depth interviews, each case of savoring was embodied based on the savoring theory of positive psychology. Based on the results of the study, the possibility of applying the savoring method in the field of exercise instruction of middle-aged women and possibility of developing the savoring related program were discussed.
This study analyzed the placement and interactivity of the immersive performance . In the sense of place, it was analyzed that first, walked and followed the living spaces and streets of the victims of the Sewol ferry, and second, through this, the participants induce a transfer experience to become the main character of the performance. In terms of interactivity, participants were able to carry out various forms of participation, and as a result, they analyzed that they had relieved debt consciousness or exerted healing effects. In addition, it was confirmed that they pursued solidarity and sympathy by focusing more on the city 'Ansan' rather than the story of the Sewol ferry. Through these results, it can be seen that has many social functions, a variety of art forms, and is differentiated from other immersive performances. So, it is necessary to consider the continuous holding.
This study aims to investigate overall factors regarding participation process such as process to pro-environmental behavior, pro-environmental behavior, continuing factors and constraint factors of outdoor recreation participants, and to determine logical correlation between them in order to make a theory model. To this end, grounded theory approach is applied for interpretation. First, pro-environmental behavior of outdoor recreation participants was formed by sequential influence of causal conditions and situational context. Second, outdoor recreation participants who participated in pro-environmental behavior of central phenomenon experienced peculiar continuing factors and constraint factors but it was found they also experienced general continuing factors and constraint factors. Third, it was analyzed that resultant settlement of pro-environmental leisure activities was partially fed back to the participation continuing factors of mediating conditions and a club of interaction strategy. Result from this study will give a help to widely understand experience of participation in leisure and restraints on leisure of outdoor recreation participants, and to development of study through organic combination between subsequent researches.
The purpose of this study is to understand the principles of Balletfit and its program structure and to establish Balletfit's effects on body shape change and postural correction. Interview, the most commonly used method of qualitative research, was chosen as the research method. Ten Balletfit class participants, who have attended private lessons twice per week, for three to six months period of time, were selected. These participants were chosen from participants of private lessons instead of group lessons for in-depth insights. The research was limited to a small group of participants and therefore, it is difficult to standardize the result. Also, because this study is based on the opinions of the participants, not by a posture measuring device, the accuracy of the result is limited as well. The followings are the conclusion of this research. First, the participation motive was either internet research or acquaintance's recommendation. Secondly, the effort to change the body shape. After experiencing Balletfit classes, the participants became aware of their body and made an effort to recover their posture by holding the stomach tight and sitting up correctly. Thirdly, their posture became ideal. Most participants became aware of what an ideal posture is and as their body became ideal, the participants also recovered their health by becoming aware of their inner and outer body. Lastly, they tend to prefer beautiful body line. After the experience, all participants became interested in the body line and preferred to build a beautiful body line with correct postures. The most significant effect of Balletfit was the body line. Therefore, the experience of Balletfit develops the inner and outer body awareness and also can be consider to effect the change of the body shape. Balletfit will become a satisfying exercise for modern people, who desire a beautiful, healthy body.
In this study, changes and emotions that result from doing yoga and the influence of yoga on daily lives were investigated by using causal network. This information was gathered from interviews and outlined in a diagram form. By checking the daily participation records of 77 participants who took a yoga class as part of the cultural studies curriculum at H University, general factors related to change were extracted and then 7 participants were chosen for in-depth interviews. In the interviews, the changes experienced from doing yoga and the emotions caused by the change and the influence this change had on daily lives were documented and the collected results were displayed in a diagram using causal network according to the flow of questionnaire. As a result, the changes experienced through doing yoga were divided in 4 categories: physical function, emotional, cognitive and physiological changes. Each change and emotion caused by the change were shown to have an influence on daily lives. Through schematized causal network for each change, the changes and emotions which the participants experienced and the influence of yoga on daily lives could be checked. Based on the study results, the effect of yoga, the need for various approaches to examine the effect exercise has on emotions and the applicability of causal network that can be employed as a creative and effective quantitative data analysis method were discussed.

This study examined Korean traditional dancing performances in small theaters as a phenomenological approach. Korean traditional dances, as cultural welfare, are expected to be attractive to the public and our cultural heritage is expected to be inherited from them. The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for Korean tradition dancing to be supplied to the public as a Traditional Cultural Welfare Program. A qualitative approach was taken to best achieve the aims of this study. The data used in this study were collected from July 10th to September 1st, 2016, using in-depth interviews. Seven Korean dance professionals with more than 15 years' experience in traditional dancing performance were enrolledin this study. The traditional dancing performance in small theaters is necessary in terms of providing concert halls to local cultural artists and high quality performances to audiences as traditional cultural welfare. The traditional dancing performance in small theaters as cultural welfare will provide a platform to enjoy various traditional cultures across all ages and all class levels of the society in auniversal dimension.
360 VR technology is used not only in movies, but also in performing arts such as music, theater, dance, and so on due to the characteristics of immersion and presence. The technology allows the audience can be perceived a feel of participation in a story. This study is conducted an analysis of the techniques of 360 video shooting in order to find the answers of the following questionaries: how to make viewers enhance to a better understanding of a space, how to make the viewer feel comfortable ceding control of the experience, how to generate greater empathy with a 360 video. Thirty cases were analysed 360-degree videos of live performances performed on stage among 360-degree images of music performance content shared on Youtube from 2015 to 2020. The result shows that live performances are performed with the audience, so the stage shape and the layout of the audience seats are preferred to the characteristics of the performance. It was also shown that directing using a 360 VR camera was also greatly affected by the stage and audience placement. The stage is manly classified into three types, and the camera layout and characteristics mainly used are organized according to the number of 360 VR cameras, whether fixed or mobile cameras are used.
Overexcitaility (OE) as a concept that is related to developmental potential, has been shown to differ by intelligence, gender, involvement in school programs and artistic interest in American populations of students. Overexitability, used to describe the five ways that people might experience developmental potential for emotional growth, are emotional, intellectual, imaginational, sensual, and psychomotor. Little is known about the profiles of groups of gifted learners outside of studies conducted in the United States. In order to better understand the emotional needs of Korean students, the purpose of this study was to determine the overexcitability profiles of students enrolled in four high schools, each with a different domain focus: math and sciences, visual and performing arts, and foreign languages. 341 subjects of this study completed the Overexcitability Questionnaire II. Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) was conducted to determine statistical differences. The results showed that Mean scores of psychomotor, sensual and imaginational are highest in the Art High School, intellectual is highest in the Science High School and emotional is highest in the Foreign Language High School. There were significant differences among the schools. Each major also showed significant difference. The results showed that mean score of psychomotor is highest in the Dance major, sensual, imaginational and emotional are highest in the Drama majore and intellectual is highest in the Science major. The results showed that the mean scores of psychomotor, imaginational and intellectual are higher in the male students than female students. On the other hand the mean scores of sensual and emotional are higher in the female students than in the male students.
Due to the remarkable changes in the early twentieth century, the new invention and technology impacted peoples' everyday lives and people started to use the word, modern, to apply specifically to what pertained to present times and to designate a movement in what was new and not old-fashioned-a condition of newness. In the present day, however, the fantastic cultural changes of a century ago have now become commonplace, and what was once considered radically new is no longer a reason to marvel. This paper considers what it mean to be modern, once the new is no longer new. This question seems to remain as complicated and inappropriate to ponder because the consideration and impact of modernity cannot simply end with the end of an era. This paper investigates how the interconnected nature of popular culture provides apt illustrations to reveal the ambivalent nature of modernity and postmodernity. In doing so, first of all, this paper pays attentions to the notion of modernity and popular culture which emerged together in the early twentieth century when technology and mass consumer culture were promoted over the world. Also, it examines how popular culture represents a complex of mutually-interdependent perspectives and values that influence society and its institutions in various ways as the image of modernity continues to build in a postmodern era. That is, popular culture is identified as a large amount of intertextuality or collective experiences due to its intermingling of complementary distribution sources and techonology. Thus, this paper explores that popular culture devotes itself other images or narratives instead of referring to the real world and its output revisits the contemporary or past times in other places, being a means to produce and reproduce the accumulated images of the modern which shapes ceaseless simulacra of modernity over complexities of modernity. In order to find a critical juncture of the complex networks of modernity and popular culture, this paper considers two places, Chicago and Gyeongsung in the 1920s and 1930s in which the rapid modern experience took place and the modern movement forced the two societies to join the mass consumer culture whether willingly or not. Next, this paper considers two movies released in 2002 and 2008 that exemplify the complexities of modernity in Chicago and Gyeongung of the 1920s and 30s: Chicago and Modern Boy. Both films have common themes of the 1920s and 30s such as violence, adultery, femme fatal, and criminal themes with the forms of musical, dance, drama, and romance. Through the textual analysis of both Chicago and Modern Boy, two films are compared in observing the similar and different ways in which two films deal with the theme of modernity when they are represented from the contemporary perspectives. More specifically, this paper questions how modernity is present in contemporary cultural forms such as commercial and hybrid genre films; and how these movies create a new image of modern by embodying the double coding. Ultimately, this paper aims at realizing the paradox of double edged modernity and its ongoing discourse that controls people's consciousness through the medium of popular culture.
The purpose of this research is to explore the selection attributes that the director of a taekwondo gym places importance on when purchasing a work of taekwon gymnastics for the competition. We conducted in-depth interviews with 6 participants using qualitative case study techniques, and analyzed data using Creswell's (2015) spiral analysis method. The data analysis results show music, trainees, characteristics of the work, criteria for evaluating the competition, producer competence, and price factors. As a result of the research, music should be produced around diverse and differentiated genres and music preferred by the trainees, and the appropriate theme should be selected considering the expressiveness and level of the trainees. The work should be considered creative works that harmonize the movement ratio of Taekwondo movements and dance, and the length of the work should be adjusted according to the purpose of the buyer, and the construction of the work should be based on the regulations of the competition. The manufacturer should ensure smooth communication with the buyer, including coaching ability and experience at the convention site.
