  • The IT technologies applying to IoT(Internet of Things), Big Data, and AI(Artificial Intelligence) are needed in the era of 4th industrial revolution. So, the IT convergence courses of computer science major which will be required in the companies in order to prepare the crises of 4th industry revolution are necessary. And, one approach to cope with this problem is the training of IT convergence man power based on NCS(National Competency Standard) education. In this paper, we propose and analyze the NCS education courses for computer science major in order to teach the students who are needed in the Korean domestic companies preparing the 4th industrial revolution. The skills and applications of Chatbot, Blockchain, and CPS(Cyber Physical System) for the post mobile and post Internet technologies are included in the proposed courses.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to develop the qualification system for training of Quality improvement professionals who work for improving patients' safety and healthcare quality. Methods : Based on the various laws and regulations, and the operational status of other professionals' qualification systems, a basic plan of professional qualification system of QI was drawn. And through meetings with QI experts, the final scheme of the concrete qualification system was developed. Results : For management of professionals's certification or qualification, fairness and reliability are important. To do this, setting the official standard, providing a standardized training program and having appropriate qualification test are required. In order to operate the qualification system strategically, 1) the introduction step, 2) dissemination and expansion step, and 3) fusing step should be considered. As a governing body for QI specialists' qualification, 'QI professionals' qualification Center (tentative)' must have the committee to assure fairness, professionalism, and reliability. In addition, 'QI Experts Certification Department (tentative)" to develop standards for the qualification tests and conduct the tests program,' QI experts Education Department (tentative name)" must be able to operate and maintain the QI training for professional qualifications. QI professional qualification exam must be taken by everyone regardless of age, gender, race, occupation, education, and work experience. The examination should include management, leadership, strategic planning and design, quality management, health care information, patient safety culture. Practical training courses can have three step programs; beginning, intermediate and special level. Conclusion : The QI qualification system need strategic approaches for the experts working for healthcare quality improvement and patient safety. It should include the program of standardized contents and test, and operating protocol of the qualificaton system.

  • This paper presents a simplified web-based simulator for digital logic circuits with which several important principles related to digital logic circuits can be understood and confirmed. The proposed simulator is implemented to have several simplified functions which are essential to the learning process of digital logic circuits. The learners by themselves simulate several digital logic circuits on the web under specific input conditions and the design/analysis of digital logic circuits can be available. The proposed simulator, combined with multimedia contents, can be used as an auxiliary educational tool and enhance the improved learning efficiency. The results of this paper can be widely used to improve the efficiency of web-based educations in the cyber space. Several simulation results are illustrated as examples to show the validity of the proposed web-based simulator.

  • Objective : This research has been conducted to comparative analysis of anti-inflammatory effects to suggest a usefulness of ethanol extracts fromGentianae sino-ornata(GSO) as a functional material for inflammatory activities. Methods : Cell viability was measured by neutral red (NR) assay, and nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW264.7 cells was monitored by measuring the nitrite content in culture medium. The expressions of cyclooxigenase-2 (COX-2) was determined by western blot analysis, and Inducible nitric oxide syntase (iNOS) and cytokine were determined by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).Results : When the GSO extract was added the concentration of 5-20 ㎍/㎕, the viability of cells was maintained 90% or more at all levels. NO production was suppressed by the treatment of GSO in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. GSO inhibited the expression of iNOS, COX-2, IL-1βand IL-6 in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Conclusions: From this results, we consider that GSO can be a useful therapeutic and preventive approach to various inflammatory diseases as a functional material for inflammatory activities.

  • In order to help them to use the Internet properly, a study on development and application of Internet-addiction healing program using video communications was conducted and proved fruitful. The eight-session program was performed on students categorized into the high risk group for about three weeks(three times a week). After the completion of the program, the students took a self-test and the changes of the scores were analyzed. Furthermore, qualitative analysis was performed on counseling process to compensate for the reliability reduction posed by limited sampling. This study can be summarized as follows. First, the symptoms of teen Internet addiction were alleviated. The effectiveness of the application of the program was verified by the fact that all the subjects were categorized into the general user group from the high risk group. Second, in the six sub-regions of the Internet-addiction self-testing, the scores changed positively. Third, the students were actively engaged in the counseling process due to the fact that the Internet addiction healing program by means of video communications had aroused their interests.

  • This study aims to devise reasonable future-oriented librarian training program development plan for satisfying on-site demands of librarians nationwide by examining and finding out the operation of managing the nation's only one librarian training program of National Library of Korea. Based on a survey targeting 2,044 people participating in training program, meeting of interested persons, doing self-operation rating, it tries to find problems of training programs, examine ways to improve them and suggests solutions such as reforming of exclusively designed organization for educating, training of lectures, increasing training budget, promoting cyber training and balancing the testing systems. In addition, as part of improving librarian training programs, it considers Sejong National Library(currently being constructed) to be responsible for sharing its work and management.

  • As the demand for the talented with computing thinking and programming skills increases the importance of coding education is increasing. Although various coding instructor training programs have been implemented nationwide, little research has been conducted analyzing the current status and contents of coding instructor training programs. Therefore, this thesis presents the design, development process and managing strategies of the 'Coding Instructor Training Courses for 4C Talent Development'. The training program consists of introductory courses and practical coding courses. In the introductory courses, learners acquires the basic knowledge required of coding instructors, and then proceeds to the practical courses to systematically learn the pedagogical knowledge and skills required to educate learners from kindergarten through high school. The case study introduced in this paper is expected to provide useful information to the educators planning and managing the coding instructor training program in the future.

  • This study examined how the quality of teacher-child interactions and the teachers' beliefs about their influence on children's social behaviors were related to children's social behaviors. The subjects were 206 children at the age of five and 52 of their teachers in 49 daycare centers. Children's social behaviors were recorded using observational categories. The quality of teacher-child interactions was measured by a rating scale that originated from the OSDCP (Rhee et al., 2003). The results were as follows: 1) Children who experienced high-quality interactions with their teachers showed fewer purposeless solitary behaviors and negative behaviors toward their peers and interacted toward their teachers more frequently than did those who experienced low-quality interactions with their teachers. 2) Children whose teachers believed that they had a great deal of influence on children's social behaviors displayed fewer purposeless solitary behaviors and more positive behaviors toward peers than did children whose teachers considered their influence less important. 3) After controlling the contributions of children's gender and teacher's training experience, the quality of teacher-child interactions and teachers' beliefs explained about 14% of the total variance of children's purposeless solitary behaviors. In addition, the quality of teacher-child interactions and teachers' beliefs accounted for 6% of the total variance of children's positive behaviors toward peers. Also, the amount of explanation of the predictive variables accounts for 9% of the total variance of children's behaviors toward their teachers.
