7차 교육과정에 따른 10학년 과학교과서에 제시된 산성비 관련 내용 진술의 비교 분석 (A Comparative Analysis of Descriptions about the Acid Rain in the 10 year Science Textbooks according to the 7th Science Curriculum)

  • A purpose of this study was to provide the helpful information about operation of revised science curriculum by analyzing many contents about acid rain with various aspects, which was written in science textbook of 10 year according to the 7th national curriculum. The results show that there was the lack of educational systemicity among elementary school, middle school, and high school science curriculum and the lack of explanation for occurrence and standard level of acid rain, pH 5.6. And It could be categorized the effect of acid rain into four groups and experiment or experiment activities into three groups.

  • Whether textbooks faithfully reflect the curriculum contents is an important educational issue. The previous studies on the textbooks did not analyze the relationship described in the textbooks or the structure. In this regard, this study aims to analyze how the concept of life science area in the elementary school science textbooks developed on the basis of the 2009 revised curriculum is linked. In addition, it seeks to analyze how the concept presented in the learning content achievement standards of the curriculum is connected to other concepts. Towards this end, the conceptual linkage of eight units in the life science domain of elementary school science textbooks based on the 2009 revised curriculum was analyzed. The contents of the life science domain in the science textbooks were analyzed through a semantic network analysis, and the semantic network on the concept linked to the one described in curriculum's learning objectives was also analyzed. The results are as follows: 1) It will be difficult for students to understand the concept due to the complexity of the semantic network resulting from a number of concepts. 2) The curriculum's learning objectives presented in the curriculum are not faithfully reflected in the textbooks. 3) The textbooks are described on the basis of specific curriculum's learning objectives. Based on the findings of this study, the number of concepts described in the elementary school science textbooks needs to be significantly reduced so that the concepts can be meaningfully linked to each other.

한국 치위생(학)과 표준교육과정안 개발 (Development of Korean standard dental hygiene curriculum proposal)

  • Objectives : In order to make a proposal of a Korean standard dental hygiene curriculum, the job description of the National Health Personnel Licensing Examination Board was analyzed to prepare a job analysis matrix of dental hygienist to select required core competency. Methods : Data were analyzed to test the job validity of dental hygienist and categorize the duties of dental hygienist. A proposal of a standard dental hygiene curriculum was mapped out by making a comparative analysis of the courses necessary for American authorization of dental hygiene curriculum, existing proposals of Korean standard dental hygiene curriculum and the courses of the departments of dental hygiene offered by domestic three-year colleges and four-year universities. Results : Basic medicine courses were reinforced or newly offered to provide an opportunity for students to transfer to a domestic four-year university or to a foreign university. In the field of clinical dental hygiene and practice, preventive dentistry, prophylaxis and practice were integrated, and the names of the related courses were unified to give a chance for students to engage in comprehensive dental hygiene practice. There were different courses for dental clinical science at present. In this proposal, students should earn 125 credits in total. Conclusions : Standard dental hygiene curriculum proposal was required by three-year and four-year colleges across the nation. To make it happen, the original names of dental hygiene courses should be used, and the dental hygiene certification and evaluation institute that is under the umbrella of the Korean Dental Hygienists Association should lay out the standard of the KSDHEP to facilitate the utilization of the standard dental hygiene curriculum proposal.

제6차, 제7차, 2007년 개정 교육과정 초등학교 과학 교과서의 STS 관련 내용 비교 분석 (Comparative Analysis of STS Contents on Elementary School Science Textbooks in 6th, 7th and Revision 2007 National Curriculum)

  • The Purpose of this study was to analyze STS contents in elementary school science textbooks according to 6th, 7th and revision 2007 national curriculum. The contents of STS were analyzed by the STS elements of Yager and the STS topics of Piel's standard. Major findings from the analyses are as follows: (1) The STS contents in the science textbooks of the 6th curriculum took up 13.7% and increased to 18.3% in the 7th and 19.0% in the revision 2007, which showed that the textbooks followed the goal of the national curriculum faithfully. (2) Based on the STS elements by Yager's standard, most of STS content is focused on 'Application of science', 'Social problems and issues' and 'Local and community relevance'. (3) Based on the STS topics by Piel's standard, most of STS contents are focused on 'Effect of technological development' and 'Society of science'. These results indicate that recent STS education trends are reflected on the 6th, 7th and revision 2007 textbooks well. However, it is suggested that some improvement is needed, such as diversification of topic.

제7차 수산·해운계 고등학교 교육과정의 기본 구성 방향 (Direction of Basic Composition on the 7th revised Curriculum for the Fisheries High Schools and Merchant Marine High Schools)

  • Fisheries and merchant marine high school education is the core for human resources of fisheries and merchant marine industries. In the past, fisheries and merchant marine high school education was terminal education producing skilled worker in water area. But fisheries and merchant marine high school education are rater desired on educational role of helping student go on to college and to have continuing education after graduate high school. In this regard, the central purpose of this study was direction of basic composition on the 7th revised curriculum for the fisheries and merchant marine high school. The specific objectives were follow contents, this study present importance for 7th revised curriculum, and comparative analysis by the change of direction of basic composition from 1st revised curriculum to 7th revised curriculum. Also, this study present direction of basic composition on the curriculum in accordance with a change and demand of industrial society. The objective on the 7th revised curriculum for fisheries and merchant high schools is to teach students basic knowledge and skills related to fisheries and merchant marine industries, and self-reliant attitude so that students can get to the successful career roles in the rapidly changing industrial society.

  • 한국문헌정보학의 교과과정은 사회의 변화에 맞추어 발전적인 교과과정으로 변화되어 왔다. 정보사회의 도래에 따른 학과명 개명, 정보학 및 정보조사제공 과목의 강세, 기록관리학 과목의 새로운 개설, 학부제 시행에 따른 문헌정보학 교과목의 대폭적인 개정 등은 사회의 변화와 정책을 반영한 현상이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 학과명 개명 시기와 학부제 시행전. 학부제 시행 시기, 학부제 시행 후의 교과과정을 문헌자료 비교를 통해서 비교 분석함으로써 학부제의 영향 및 정보기술의 영향을 알아보고자 하였다.

보건계열 학생과 비보건계열 학생의 교육만족도 조사 - D대학을 중심으로 - (A Study of Educational Satisfaction of the Students in Health Section and None Health Section based on 'D' college)

  • Purpose: This study is to analyze the curriculum satisfaction and to provide basic information for effective school management of Dept. of Health section. Methods: This survey, modified questionnaires based on Hee-Joo Moon's(2005), is accordance with undergraduate students and shows very high credibility upper than Cronbach's Alpha. 1,500 questionnaires are distributed(01. Oct. 2010~30. Oct. 2010) but only 1,213(80.8%) are returned and, except for 14 insincerely answered, 1,199(79.9%) are used. Results: The results of the study are following. The population characteristic of this survey is that 445(18.1%) are male, 739(61.9%) are female, 595(49.6%) are in health section, and 604(50.4%) are in none health section. 628(53%) chose getting jobs as their motivations for school choice and 727(60.8%) chose getting jobs and career guidance as theirs. The satisfaction of male students was higher than that of female students based on the comparative analysis of the curriculum satisfaction. The satisfaction of the students in none health section was higher than that of those in health section based on the comparative analysis of the curriculum satisfaction. This survey indicates that once the satisfaction with the major courses and career guidance increase, the overall satisfaction grows. Conclusion: The keys to improve the curriculum satisfaction including students' in department of dental technology are to provide and develop differentiated curriculums and support programs that meet students' expectations. In addition, the customized curriculums based on the level and aptitudes of female students are needed.

과학과 교육과정에 제시된 개념의 연계성에 대한 국제 비교 연구 - 달과 암석의 순환 개념을 중심으로 (International Comparative Study on the Science Curriculum Concepts Continuity - Focus on the Concepts of Moon and Rock cycle -)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 우리나라를 포함한 6개국(대만, 영국, 핀란드, 미국, 캐나다, 한국)의 과학과 교육과정에 대한 연계성에 초점을 둔 비교분석을 통해서 우리나라 과학과 교육과정의 연계성을 강화할 수 있는 방안과 그 시사점을 도출하는데 있다. 국가교육과정정보센터(NCIC)에서 수집한 각 나라의 교육과정 원문과 국문 번역본을 분석 대상으로 하였고, 교육과정 구성의 특징과 종적 횡적 연계성 요소를 기초로 한 과학과 내의 '달'과 '암석의 순환'에 대한 내용을 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과, 국제적으로 교육과정의 학년 간 그리고 교과 간 연계의 강화를 위해 빅 아이디어(Big Ideas)나 교차 개념(Crosscutting Concepts) 등과 같은 연결 고리의 역할을 하는 개념을 활용하고 있음을 알 수 있었고, 그 중에서도 시스템의 관점을 중요하게 다루고 있었다. 내용에 대해서는 비교 국가들 중 우리나라는 '달'과 '암석의 순환'에 대해 가장 높은 빈도로 다루고 있었으나, 달의 내용 중 일부를 초 중 고등학교에서 비슷한 수준으로 동일하게 다루고 있는 단순 반복 현상을 확인할 수 있었다. 반면, 암석의 순환에 대해서는 다른 나라들에 비해 다양한 관점과 수준에서 다루어 비교적 짜임새 있는 조직 구성을 보였다. 결론적으로, 우리나라 교육과정에도 교육과정의 연계성 강화를 위해 이러한 연결 고리 역할을 할 수 있는 적합한 도구가 요구되며, 그 방안으로 시스템적 접근을 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 더욱이 교육과정의 효과적인 적용을 위해 학년 수준에 따른 학습자의 학습 발달 과정에 대한 충분한 이해를 바탕으로 교육과정을 구성하는 것이 무엇보다 중요할 것이다.

국내 학부 보건관리학과의 교육과정 분석연구: 취득면허·자격과의 관계를 중심으로 (Curriculum Analysis on Health Management Schools in Republic of Korea: Focusing on Relationship with Licence and Certification)

  • Background: This study aims to conduct curriculum analysis on health management schools focusing on relationship with licence and certification in Republic of Korea. Methods: Possible employment field, licence and certification as well as curriculum were collected from the home page of 30 health management schools. The subjects and credits of curriculum were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Main subjects by areas were drew using categorization and ranking within qualitative methods. Comparative analysis was conducted for checking relationship between main subject and possible employment field, licence and certification. Results: First, major employment fields after graduation were public health officer, general hospital and clinic, and National Health Insurance Service. Possible licence and certificate were hospital administrator, medical recorder, health education specialist, and medical insurance specialist. Second, total graduate credits were 133.9 including 79.0 for major education, 30.5 for of general education, and 30.5 for elective courses. Third, main subjects were reviewed by areas including basic medicine, health management, hospital business & management, medical records & information, insurance billing & assessment, healthcare marketing & tourism, and health education. There were highest number of subjects on health education area among 8 categories. By subjects, many health management schools open health law, medical terminology, introduction to public health, and biostatistics. Relationship between main subjects and possible employment field, licence and certification in health management schools was strong. Conclusion: It is necessary to review curriculum and for improving educational quality in health management schools. Also, development of curriculum standards for courses in health administration and introduction of accreditation system can be considered.

한국과 미국의 교육과정에 나타난 컴퓨팅 사고력 관련 성취기준 비교 분석 (A Comparative Analysis of Achievement Standards Related to Computational Thinking in Korean and U.S. Curriculum)

  • 최근 컴퓨팅 사고력 교육에 관한 중요성이 강조됨에 따라 전 세계 교육과정이 개편되고, 컴퓨팅 사고력 평가를 위한 국제 비교 연구가 추진되었다. 본 연구에서는 최근 개정된 한국과 미국의 교육과정에 나타난 컴퓨팅 사고력 관련 성취기준을 비교 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 컴퓨팅 사고력 요소와 관련성이 있다고 판단되는 성취기준의 수는 한국이 16개, 미국이 21개로 한국과 미국 교육과정 모두 높게 나타났으며, 포함된 개념 요소는 비슷하나, 기능 수준에서 차이를 보였다. 한국은 '문제 분석 및 정형화' 측면에서 보다 구체적인 성취기준을 다루는 반면, 미국은 '해결 방안 계획 및 평가' 측면에 중점을 둔 것으로 나타났다. '알고리즘, 프로그램, 인터페이스 개발' 측면에서는 한국과 미국 모두 구체적인 성취기준을 제시하고 있으나, 기능적 측면에서 볼 때 미국 성취기준이 한국에 비해 보다 다양하고 구체적인 진술을 포함하고 있으며, 모델링, 모듈 생성, 기술 평가 및 활용과 관련된 추가적으로 필요한 성취기준을 포함하고 있다. 이러한 분석결과는 향후 교육과정 개정 시 내용 요소와 함께 기능적 측면의 개선 사항을 제안하는데 활용될 수 있다.
