This paper is dealt with one-dimensional elliptic jumping problem with nonlinearities crossing n eigenvalues. We get one theorem which shows multiplicity results for solutions of one-dimensional elliptic boundary value problem with jumping nonlinearities. This theorem is that there exist at least two solutions when nonlinearities crossing odd eigenvalues, at least three solutions when nonlinearities crossing even eigenvalues, exactly one solutions and no solution depending on the source term. We obtain these results by the eigenvalues and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions of the elliptic eigenvalue problem and Leray-Schauder degree theory.

The scattered light intensity from a spherical particle passing through the cross-over region of two coherent laser beams, varies periodically. Photodetection of this light beams produces a periodic signal of varying amplitude. The phase of the signal varies with the particle size and refractive index, the beam crossing angle and wavelength, and the position and size of the scattered ligth collecting aperture. In this paper the phase variation with respect to the particle absorptive index of retraction, collecting lens size and beam crossing angle is calculated using both Mie scattering theory and reflection theory. The two theories show good agreement in phase predictions, especially for large absorptive indices and for small collection lenses. Both theories predict phase to be inversely proportional to the beam crossing angle.

Let $Lu=u_{tt}+u_{xxxx}$ and E be the complete normed space spanned by the eigenfunctions of L. We reveal the existence of six nontrivial solutions of a nonlinear suspension bridge equation $Lu+bu^+=1+{\epsilon}h(x,t)$ in E when the nonlinearity crosses three eigenvalues. It is shown by the critical point theory induced from the limit relative category of the torus with three holes and finite dimensional reduction method.

도로 상에서 차량은 강자이고 보행자들은 약자의 처지이다. 본 논문은 보행자의 안전에 기여하고자 하는 목적을 가진다. 먼저, 본 논문은 인구 모수들과 TPB(계획된 행동의 이론)의 변수들(도로에서 보행자의 길 건너는 행동에 있어서의 태도, 개인적 가치, 인지된 행동 통제, 등), 길을 건너고자 하는 의도, 건너는 동안의 인지된 위험, 그리고 과거 교통사고의 경험 사이의 연관성을, 대학생 샘플을 대상으로, 연구하였다. TPB 변수들을 고려한 보행자 연구는 한국에서 통상 수행되지 않았었다. 더 나아가 본 연구는, 도로를 건너는 보행자의 위험한 행동에 있어서, 인간의 인지 실패/오류, 충동성, 시간관, 그리고 확률적/수학-논리적 판단 능력이, 차지하는 비중을 분석하고자 하였다. 연구 결과는, 그 비중이 아주 크지는 않지만, 존재함을 발견하였고, 인간 생명은 매우 소중하므로, 보행자의 사고에서 인간의 그러한 심리적 요인들을 추가적으로 고려한다면, 보행자의 사고를 예방하고 그 불행을 줄이는 데에, 더 나아가 사고와 관련된 경제적 손실과 보험 지출을 줄이는 데에, 기여할 것이라고 사료된다.

Objectives : This study attempts to identify the concept of Link meridian in previous medical books, and explore how Link meridian theory was used in a clinical practice focusing on YeTianshi. Methods : This study looked at the medical books related to acupuncture and moxibustion in the past and the part where Link meridian is mentioned in the annotations of "Huangdineijing" and "Nanjing", and examined how medical doctors prior to YeTianshi used Link meridian in a clinical practice. And then this study examined treatment cases in the medical records of YeTianshi. Results ＆ conclusions : Yang-Link meridian and Eum-Link meridian were arranged as ascending route by the majority of medical doctors. However, there are doubts because startpoints of them are not "Jeyanghoe" and "Jeeumgyo" respectively described in "Nanjing". Link meridian is thought to be a structure that connects each meridian passing through crossing points with each crossing point itself as a starting point. Thus, Link meridian can be seen as a role in strengthening the connection of crossing meridians and balancing and controlling those meridians centering on each crossing point. The point that YeTianshi's identifying that pathology of Eight extra meridians associates with liver and kidney(肝腎) to be a symptom of weakness, and his development of Link meridian's physiology and pathology through the relationship with other Eight extra meridians are thought to be more advanced than the previous medicine prior to YeTianshi.

In this paper, I applied grounded theory in exploring how Twitter became the battlefield for China's public diplomacy campaign. China's new move to global social media platforms, such as Twitter and Facebook, has been a controversial strategy in public diplomacy. This study analyzes Chinese Foreign Spokesperson Zhao Lijian's Twitter posts and comments. It models China's recent diplomatic move to Twitter as a "war of words" model, with features including "leadership," "polarization," and "aggression," while exerting possible effects as "resistance," "hatred," and "sarcasm" to the global community. Our findings show that by failing to gage public opinion and promote the country's positive image, China's current digital diplomacy strategy reflected by Zhao Lijian's tweets has instead constructed a polarized political public sphere, contradictory to the country's promoted "shared human destiny." The "war of words" model extends our understanding of China's new digital diplomacy move as a hybrid of state propaganda and self-performance. Such a strategy could spread hate speech and accelerate political polarization in cyberspace, despite improvements to China's homogenous network building on Twitter.

이 논문은 행위자-네트워크이론에 바탕을 두고 초국적 결혼이주가정의 음식-네트워크의 형성과 이를 통한 결혼이주 여성의 경계 넘기를 개념적으로 고찰하는 한편, 이에 바탕을 두고 대구지역의 초국적 결혼이주여성의 경험적 자료를 수집 분석하고자 한다. 연구 결과로 다음 주장들이 제시된다. 첫째, 음식은 단일한 대상물이 아니라 음식을 만들고 먹는 과정에 개입하는 다양한 인간 및 비인간(물질과 제도 등) 행위자들로 구성된 네트워크 또는 다중적이고 혼종적인 요소들의 집합체로 이해 된다. 음식문화는 가정의 사회적 관계와 장소성에 의해 규정되며, 또한 이를 재구성한다. 둘째, 결혼이주가정의 음식-네트워크는 이를 형성 재형성하는 과정에서 미시적 권력(또는 애착) 관계를 내포하며, 이러한 점에서 음식을 둘러싼 갈등과 타협이 교차하는 권력의 장이다. 셋째 결혼이주가정의 음식-네트워크는 본국 및 한국의 거시적 공간환경과 미시적 장소성에 의해 규정되며, 이러한 공간환경과 장소성은 음식-네트워크의 일부로서 다른 인간 및 비인간 행위자들과의 관계 속에서 작동한다. 넷째, 결혼이주가정의 음식-네트워크는 다중적 다규모적으로 형성되는 초국적 음식문화의 공간적 이동성과 장소성을 반영한다. 이를 통해 형성된 음식-네트워크에서 혼종적으로 재현되는 본국 음식문화는 위상학적으로 '유동적 공간' 및 '부재의 출현'을 표현하며, 결혼이주여성으로 하여금 문화적 경계 넘기를 (불)가능하게 한다.

We analyze an M/G/1 queueing system under $P_{\lambda,\tau}^M$ service policy. By using the level crossing theory and solving the corresponding integral equations, we obtain the stationary distribution of the workload in the system explicitly.

The model for the combined refraction and diffraction of water waves, the so-called mild-slope equation, was first developed by Berkhoff (1972) and has been studied by many coastal engineers because the model is able to consider the combined effect of refraction and diffraction of water waves and eliminate the problem of ray crossing which may happen in the previously developed ray theory.
