Multiple Face Segmentation and Tracking Based on Robust Hausdorff Distance Matching

  • This paper describes a system fur tracking multiple faces in an input video sequence using facial convex hull based facial segmentation and robust hausdorff distance. The algorithm adapts skin color reference map in YCbCr color space and hair color reference map in RGB color space for classifying face region. Then, we obtain an initial face model with preprocessing and convex hull. For tracking, this algorithm computes displacement of the point set between frames using a robust hausdorff distance and the best possible displacement is selected. Finally, the initial face model is updated using the displacement. We provide an example to illustrate the proposed tracking algorithm, which efficiently tracks rotating and zooming faces as well as existing multiple faces in video sequences obtained from CCD camera.

  • The part-surface of mold or stamping-dies consists of a compound surface which consists of lots of composite surfaces, and may have various types of feature shapes including convex sharp edge (CSE). Those CSE features should be considered with care in machining the surface, which necessitates extraction of CSE curves on a compound surface. This work can be done rather easily for a solid model which has a complete topology information. In case of the compound surface without topology information, however, such CSE curves must be gathered through some geometrical calculations paying much computation time. In the paper, extracting CSE curves by the construction of a CSE region-map which can reduce time, and detecting various common edge types are presented.

  • Let X be a Banach space satisfying Opial's condition, C a weakly compact convex subset of $X,F:C{\rightarrow}X$ a nonexpansive map, and let $G:C{\rightarrow}X$ be a compact and demiclosed map. We prove that F + G has a fixed point in C if $F+G:C{\rightarrow}X$ is a weakly inward map.

특징 지도를 이용한 중요 객체 추출 (Extraction of Attentive Objects Using Feature Maps)

  • 본 논문에서는 컬러 영상에서 배경의 복잡도와 객체의 위치에 관계없이 영상 내에 존재하는 중요 객체를 자동으로 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 중요 객체를 추출하기 위해 에지(edge) 정보와 색상(color) 정보를 이용한 특징 지도를 사용한다. 또한, 효과적인 객체 추출을 위해서 참조 지도(reference map)를 제안한다. 참조 지도를 생성하기 위해서는 영상에서 사람의 시각에 두드러지게 구분되는 영역을 표현하는 특징 지도(feature map)를 먼저 생성한다. 그런 다음, 특징 지도들을 효과적으로 결합하여 배경의 영향을 최소화 하면서, 중요 객체가 존재할 확률이 높은 영역들을 포함하는 참조 지도를 생성한다. 특징 지도를 생성하기 위해서는 밝기 차 정보를 나타내는 에지와 YCbCr 컬러와 HSV 컬러 공간에서의 색상 성분을 사용하며, 특징 지도에 대한 생성 방법은 영상 내에서 밝기차이와 색상차이에 의해서 나타나는 경계 부분을 추출하는 방법을 사용한다. 최종적으로 중요 객체가 존재하는 영역을 나타내기 위해서 참조 지도와 특징 지도들을 결합한 결합 지도(combination map)를 생성한다. 결합 지도는 중요 객체의 외곽선 정보만을 표현하기 때문에, 객체 전체를 표현할 수 있는 객체 후보 영역을 추출하는데, 이를 위해서는 객체 후보 영역을 추출하기 위해서 convex hull 알고리즘을 사용한다. Convex hull 알고리즘에 의해서 추출된 영역은 여전히 배경 부분을 포함하고 있으므로, 영상 분할 방법을 적용하여 배경을 제거한 후 영상에서의 중요 객체를 추출한다. 제안한 알고리즘의 성능을 실험적으로 확인한 결과, 평균적으로 84.3%의 정확율과 81.3%의 재현율의 성능을 보였다.

  • We prove that if RUC(S) has a left invariant mean ${\rho}={T_{S} : s \;{\in}\; S}$ is a continuous repesentation of S as nonexpansive map-pings on a closed convex subset C of a p-uniformly convex and p-uniformly smooth Banach space and C contains an element of bounded orbit then C contains a common fixed point for ${\rho}$.

  • Suppose C is a nonempty closed convex subset of a real uniformly convex Banach space X. Let T : $C{\rightarrow}C$ be an asymptotically nonexpansive in the intermediate sense mapping. In this paper we introduced the three-step iterative sequence for such map with error members. Moreover, we prove that, if T is completely continuous then the our iterative sequence converges strongly to a fixed point of T.

  • The purpose of this paper is to give sufficient coefficient conditions for a class of univalent harmonic functions that map each $$\mid$z$\mid$$ = r >1 onto a curve that bounds a domain that is starlike with respect to origin. Furthermore, it is shown that these conditions are also necessary when the coefficients are negative. Extreme points for these classes are also determined. Finally, comparable results are given for the convex analgo.

  • In this paper, we give a sharp estimate on the cardinality of the set generating the convex hull containing the image of harmonic maps with polynomial growth rate on a certain class of manifolds into a Cartan-Hadamard manifold with sectional curvature bounded by two negative constants. We also describe the asymptotic behavior of harmonic maps on a complete Riemannian manifold into a regular ball in terms of massive subsets, in the case when the space of bounded harmonic functions on the manifold is finite dimensional.
