This paper introduces not only what the ST-IT convergent technology is, but also the present technological status of ST and IT in order that the ST-IT convergent technology may not be a simple topic of conversation but a key word of our country's new growth engine. This paper also describes a development direction for the technology convergence as some dynamic changes can be anticipated to create the new value and market because the wall between technologies and industries may be broken down due to the development of STIT convergent technology in the future.

In order to support quickly increasing mobile traffic and deal with various types of users of wireless mobile systems under overlay convergent cognitive networking environments, it is highly required to improve the performance and the capability of the wireless access networks. With distributed antennas and distributed processors, it is possible for mobile terminals (MTs) to monitor interference and control system effectively to minimize mutual interference among users and cells. Virtual cell changes as the MT moves or the environment changes, so no handoff is needed in connections with base station hotelling. In this paper, the characteristics of wireless distributed systems under the overlay convergent networks will be investigated.

The core value of the college of Interdisciplinary & Creative Studies is rely on the supporting system which can develop the learners' practical 'performing' competency. For aiming this, educational process of university constitutes the competencies which can be expected at the local field and develop the competency-oriented extracurricular & its operating system. Defining the creative convergent talent, as 'collaborative creative convergent one, bricoleur' and categorizes core competency named as TX competency. T competency contains humanities and the professionals of each major field needed. X competency consists of creative problem solving, convergent thinking ability, self-oriented learning ability and cooperative leadership. Developing extracurriculum & its operating system learners can be exposured the systemic learning and managing process. They can develop their potential abilities and can accumulate a proper mileage at their learning achievement. This research can be expected as a model of competency-based extracurriculum and its operating system which can develop learners' multiple competency overcoming the limit scope of curriculum.

Competition in supply chain has moved from between being organizations to between supply chain. To enhance competitiveness in supply chain, there is a need for organisations to establish and manage collaborative relationships among supply chain partners and share operational and strategic information timely and accurately. As a result, food supply chain partners have adopted of inter organisational information systems (IOIS) such as EDI, IEDI, RFID, internet, and extranets to facilitate exchange of information, streamline production and to effectively manage inventory processes so as to deliver value to the customer. Together with IOIS, cybermediaries also plays a key role in facilitating agriculture and food supply chain. This paper investigates the role and significance of IOIS and cybermediaries in facilitating agriculture and food supply chain. Convergent interviewing was conducted with agriculture producers, food processors and retailers. The study identified logistics, supply chain and customer services benefits perceived from implementing IOIS and utilising cybermediaries services in the food supply chain. To conclude the conceptual paper outlined managerial implications and areas for future research.

In order to achieve high capacity and reliable link quality of the overlay convergent networks with the cognitive networking based on the advanced capability of the mobile terminal, a Distributed Wireless Communication System (DWCS) can provide the capability of enhancing the link quality. This paper has considered virtual cell: the Dual Virtual Cell (DVC), and also proposes DVC employment strategy based on radio resource monitering. The considered system constructs DVC for multi-user high-rate data transmission, and the DWCS system exploits space-time trellis codes i.e., STTC to improve a spectral efficiency. The effects of imperfect CSI(channel state information) on the system performance has also been investigated.

A camera model with optical axes parallel has been widely used for stereo vision applications. A pair of input ages are obtained from a convergent-looking stereo camera model based on the human visual system in this per, and each image is divided into quadrant regions with respect to the fixation point. The reasoning of quadrant partitions is based on the human visual system and is proven by a geometrical method. Image patches : constructed from the right and left stereo images. A modified cepstrum filter is applied to the patches and disparity vectors are determined by peak detection algorithm. The three-dimensional information for synthetic ages is obtained from the measured disparity and the convergent stereo camera model. It is shown that the experimental results of the proposed method for various stereo images are accurate around the fixation point like the human visual system.

In this paper, the new user mobility management scheme which can be utilized to register user's location for interworking with heterogeneous overlay convergent networks under the time-varying radio propagation environment has been proposed. Thus the user mobility management can be considered in order to model and to evaluate the behaviors of users in the overlay convergent networks. This mobility management scheme will be very useful in characterizing the user mobility behaviors and can be used to estimate the signaling traffic and frequency spectrum demands for massive data transfer for the heterogeneous overlay convergent networks.

Technology innovation of digital convergence in recent years of the media sector has produced a series of significant changes in journalist labor. This study analyzes how recent introduction of convergent newsroom changed the nature of journalist labor and what strategy the management used to control journalists within the technologically innovated working condition with case of CBS. As the labor process theory tells us, the analysis found that technological innovation in the newsroom has encouraged a couple of aspects regarding labor process. First, losing control over their own labor journalists have undergone the process of significant deskilling. Second, the management have made a constant effort to introduce ideological and political apparatuses with twofold purposes, effective control over workers on one hand and concealing oppressive labor conditions on the other. The effort generated journalists' acceptance of new news-making routine and their consent on labor-management culture founded upon naive familism, which at last resulted in reinforcement of corporate power and isolation of labor society by separating internal labor market.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop an instrument for measuring nursing information literacy competency, and then to examine the validity and reliability of the instrument. Methods: The developmental process of the instrument includes construction of a conceptual framework, generation of initial items, verification of content validity, preliminary study, extraction of final items, and psychometric testing. Its content validity was verified by three experts from nursing and nursing informatics. Its construct, convergent, and discriminant validity was examined in confirmatory factor analysis. Finally, its criterion validity was measured with Pearson's correlation. The tool's reliability was examined by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. The participants include 382 nurses from four hospitals and one university hospital. Results: Twenty seven items in total were selected for the final scale, and the results of the confirmatory factor analysis were supported with acceptable model fit, which were named competency for identifying problem, potential sources for information, searching fine information, evaluating information, acquising and managing of information, using information ethically, and integrating new information. The convergent, discriminant and criterion validities were also supported. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient was .93. Conclusion: The instrument is valid and reliable to comprehensively assess nurses' information literacy competency, and to provide a basic direction for developing nursing information literacy program.

Network coding is one of the most promising techniques to increase the reliability and reduce the energy consumption for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). However, most of the previous works mainly focus on the network coding for multicast or unicast in WSNs, in spite of the fact that the converge-cast is the most common communication style in WSNs. In this paper, we investigate, for the first time as far as we know, the feasibility of acquiring network coding benefits in converge-cast, and we present that with the ubiquitous convergent structures self-organized during converge-casting in the network, the reliability benefits can be obtained by applying linear network coding. We theoretically derive the network coding benefits obtained in a general convergent structure, and simulations are conducted to validate our theoretical analysis. The results reveal that the network coding can improve the network reliability considerably, and hence reduce number of retransmissions and improve energy-efficiency.
