This study explored the theoretical basis of the teaching competency of university professors in the future society represented by the Fourth Industrial Revolution through literature analysis and the researcher's council. To this end, this study first derived the implications for cultivating of teaching competency of university professors according to the social needs of future social universities. Next, according to the social needs of future social universities, the teaching competency required for university professors was presented. Finally, based on this theoretical argument, the concept of teaching competency of professors in the future society was defined and its sub-elements were presented. As a result of this study, the teaching competency frame of professors in the future society was proposed with 8 capabilities in 3 areas including 2 ability to respond to change, 2 ability to promote innovation, and 4 ability to instruct. Through the theoretical basis proposed in this study, it is hoped that the university professors' teaching competency development plan will be established to prepare for the instability of the uncertain future in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. In addition, it is expected that innovation and change strategies of each university will be established, and class innovation strategies will be established to meet the needs of students.

The purpose of this study is to find out how to develop the related competency by exploring the service convergence experience of social workers in the social welfare field. For this purpose, social workers were organized into focus groups to reflect various fields and experiences of the social welfare, and the focus group interview method was implemented. The results of this study are as follows: First, research participants who are social workers of the field recognized positive effects and experiential limitations in the experience of providing convergent services through collaboration with various professionals. Second, research participants experienced the necessity of convergence services, while being asked for various roles in the extended area. Finally, research participants propose a plan to develop competencies required in social welfare environment where a convergent approach is required. Based on the results of this study, it was prepared that basic data for the development of practical competency in the social welfare field.

In this paper, a novel-engineering-based artificial intelligence liberal arts course is proposed and its effectiveness is evaluated with an emphasis on creativity confluence competency for elementary and middle school pre-service teachers in various majors. Constructing directions such as "considering the characteristics of non-major learners" and "drawing convergence with majors" were derived by analyzing related prior research, and its relationship with Novel Engineering was presented as an appropriate educational method. As a result of 45 hours of artificial intelligence education convergence liberal arts course, a statistically significant improvement in creativity confluence competency and high satisfaction were established. This study is significant because it supported the idea that novel engineering might be used as a pre-service teacher education strategy for artificial intelligence convergence education.

In this study, the effect of fear of COVID-19 on children's ability in life competency was examined, and the mediating effect of smartphone dependence on this relationship was also verified. For this study, 250 children living in area K who were using smartphones were surveyed as research subjects. The major research results found that the higher the fear of COVID-19, the lower the child's ability in life competency, which affects the child's ability in life competency. And the fear of COVID-19 has been shown to affect smartphone dependence. In addition, It was found that dependence on smartphones had a fully mediating effect on the relationship between children's fear of COVID-19 and their ability in life competency. Based on these research results, to promote the healthy growth and development of children in social disaster crises such as COVID-19, a convergence intervention and pro-active strategy that can control children's smartphone dependence and improve their life's ability in life competency was presented.

This study is descriptive research study to understand the impact of digital ethics-literacy, multicultural acceptance, and global citizenship of medical students' on cultural competency. The subjects for this study were the medical students of J city of Province of G, collecting data from first of October to 15th of October 2023. The tools used for this study consist of 178 questions which were 9 questions of general properties, 70 questions of digital ethics-literacy, 35 questions of multicultural acceptance, 3qustions of global citizenship and 33 questions of cultural competency. As a result of this study, the score of digital ethics-literacy was 2.67±0.85(out of 5), the score of multicultural acceptance was 3.62±1.08(out of 6), the score of global citizenship was 3.72±0.75(out of 5), and the score of cultural competency was 3.49±0.71(out of 5). There is a positive correlation between multicultural acceptance and global citizenship. The global citizenship was the factor affecting significantly on cultural competency. The power of explication was 20.8%. The education for accepting and understanding cultural diversity and offering opportunity of domestic and overseas volunteering programs so that global citizenship could be improved. There is also a need of development of integrative education programs in terms of multicultural education including direct and indirect digital media education which can perform medical service for various multicultural recipient on the medical site not an one-shot instiiled displine.

The purpose of this study is examine the validity of digital competency indicators in order to develop a tool that can measure the digital competency of preschool teachers. To review the validity, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted on the data of 272 preschool teachers. The exploratory factor analysis resulted in four factors, and the confirmatory factor analysis verified the fit, validity(convergent validity, discriminant validity) and reliability of each competency group and the model composition of sub-competency indicators. The four factors validated were named 'Understanding Digital Technologies', 'Digital Technology Understanding', 'Digital Technology Application', 'Digital Technology-based Communication', 'Digital Ethics Understanding and Practice'. The analysis results demonstrated the reliability and validity of the tool for measuring the digital competencies of preschool teachers, and it is meaningful in that it can provide a foundation for measuring the digital competency of preschool teachers and conducting education program suitable for each digital competency level.

The goal of this study is to examine the effectiveness of assertiveness training program for nurses' fear of negative evaluation, assertiveness behavior, and communication competency. The study is quasi-experimental study by nonequivalence control group design. The subjects of this study consisted of 32 graduate students in nursing department located in G city; 14 in experimental group and 18 in control group. The data is collected from March 13th, 2018 to May 8th, 2018. The experimental group participated in assertiveness training program composed of six times session for 180 minutes once a week and were asked to fill out the structured questionnaire. Collected data is analyzed by Fisher's exact test, $x^2-test$ and t-test. The result reveals the significant difference in assertiveness behavior and communication competency of nurses. This study contribute to improve the effectiveness of convergence-based assertiveness training program for nurses' assertiveness competency, communication competency.

As the technological gap amongst manufacturers decreases, the life cycle of products has shortened, and competition accelerates due to the development of technology, incumbent manufacturing companies face growth limitations. In order to overcome such business issues, manufacturing companies are increasingly interested in changes in business models and innovations, especially in the direction of providing services where they can maintain the competitive advantage of their products. In such context, this empirical study examines managerial leadership, differentiation strategies, and products and services pricing as 'servitization factors', which can be driving forces for moving into a new era of growth for Korean SMEs, focusing on the mediating effects of servitization competency. The results are as follows : First, it was confirmed that executive leadership, differentiation strategy, and information & communication technology capability have a direct effect on service sales. Second, the process competency, partnership competency, and ICT competency, which are presented as the service competence of SMEs, were found to play an important role in inducing service sales in managerial leadership, differentiation strategy, product and services pricing. It also emphasized the role of the public policy such as helping to foster SMEs as key partners in the expansion of social facilities and establishing platforms through ICT and data utilization for the convergence of manufacturing services.

This study was conducted on 130 nursing college students who had experience taking simulation learning to confirm the relationship between simulation learning and nursing competency. Participant's satisfaction and confidence were positively associated with overall nursing competency and patient safety. The teaching method and design of the facilitator were also positively correlated with overall nursing competency, and participants' age and simulation design was a predictive factor explaining 21.5% of the nursing competency. In applying simulation to develop nursing competency, it is necessary to consider the satisfaction and confidence of participants and to systematically diversify the teaching method and design.

This case study is centered on the developing process for the curriculum of fashion design major that is focused on the concept of competency, which is becoming increasingly more important in universities. The purpose of this study is to develop a competency-oriented curriculum for fashion design majors based on recent social changes that accentuate the importance of competency in such programs. In order to establish a competency-oriented curriculum of the Department of Fashion Design, the researchers examined environmental trends within the fashion industry, the curriculum and major competencies of other universities were examined. As a result, the key ability types of the Department of Fashion Design at A University, a local private university, were determined to be: communication and consideration, creativity and convergence, digital fashion, and practical adaptability. Four major abilities were selected to develop competencies suitable for the aforementioned ability types. These abilities are design planning and development, creative and convergent thinking, integrated information search and utilization, and field expertise application. From there, the curriculum was organized with these four major abilities in mind, and curriculum completion plans were developed for each grade and semester according to the stage and level of contents for each subject. To ensure the validity of the curriculum, it is necessary to develop a back-flow system that demonstrates whether the targer competency has been acquired through a competence-based curriculum.
