Background: In the mining industry, various methods of accident analysis have utilized official accident investigations to try and establish broader causation mechanisms. An emerging area of interest is identifying the extent to which cultural influences, such as safety culture, are acting as drivers in the reoccurrence of accidents. Thus, the overall objective of this study was to analyze occupational health and safety (OHS) reports in mining to investigate if/how safety culture has historically been framed in the mining industry, as it relates to accident causation. Methods: Using a computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software, 34 definitions of safety culture were analyzed to highlight key terms. Based on word count and contextual relevance, 26 key terms were captured. Ten OHS reports were then analyzed via an inductive thematic analysis, using the key terms. This analysis provided a concept map representing the 50-year data set and facilitated the use of text framing to highlight safety culture in the selected OHS mining reports. Results: Overall, 954 references and six themes, safety culture, attitude, competence, belief, patterns, and norms, were identified in the data set. Of the 26 key terms originally identified, 24 of them were captured within the text. The results made evident two distinct frames in which to interpret the data: the role of the individual and the role of the organization, in safety culture. Conclusion: Unless efforts are made to understand and alter cultural drivers and share these findings within and across industries, the same accidents are likely to continue to occur.

The pharmaceutical industry is experiencing a productivity crisis with a low probability of success despite a long period of time and enormous cost. As a strategy to solve the productivity crisis, the use cases of Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Bigdata are increasing worldwide and tangible results are coming out. However, domestic pharmaceutical companies are taking a wait-and-see attitude to adopt AI platform for drug research. This study proposed a research model that combines the Value-based Adoption Model and the Innovation Resistance Model to empirically study the effect of value perception and resistance factors on adopting AI Platform. As a result of empirical verification, usefulness, knowledge richness, complexity, and algorithmic opacity were found to have a significant effect on perceived values. And, usefulness, knowledge richness, algorithmic opacity, trialability, technology support infrastructure were found to have a significant effect on the innovation resistance.

The purpose of this paper is to explain the recipient's psychology, which results from the operation of media, from the perspective of the fluctuation between immersion and contemplation. Media allow to perceive and speculate about specific objects or meanings. In addition, the media perform the function of expanding or changing the objects of perception and thought. McLuhan or Luhmann's media theory emphasized this function of changing the state of perception by inducing a contemplative attitude. This notion is exemplified by interpretation of the visual media history. In this paper, the cases of film and computer game are discussed. In particular, it is considered that VR media causing strong immersion have also developed in a way that allows recipients to contemplate an virtually constructed reality. The commercialization of Tilt Brush and the experimentation of VR painting artwork are the examples for this dual development.

Due to the recent pandemic, most educational systems are being conducted through online classes. Unlike face-to-face classes, it is even more difficult for learners to maintain concentration, and evaluating the learners' attitude toward the class is also challenging. In this paper, we proposed a real-time concentration-based review support system for learners in real-time video lectures that can be used in online classes. This system measured the learner's face, pupils, and user activity in real-time using the equipment used in the existing video system, and delivers real-time concentration measurement values to the instructor in various forms. At the same time, if the concentration measurement value falls below a certain level, the system alerted the learner and records the timestamp of the lecture. By using this system, instructors can evaluate the learners' participation in the class in real-time and help to improve their class abilities.
Performance analysis for work-learning dual system has been mainly conducted from the perspective of diagnosing the effectiveness of policies at the macro level. This study aims to analyze issues in organizational management of the work-learning dual system training center by conducting an analysis focusing on the organizational performance of the work-learning dual system training center's employees. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the perception and attitude of employees toward the work-learning dual training center differed depending on the type of work-learning dual system and the type of employment contract. Among the types of work-learning dual system, overall, in the case of IPP, the organizational performance of employees was low, while the apprenticeship was relatively high. As for the type of employment contract, the need for institutional improvement has been derived, especially for the project contract workers.

Background: The Fourth Industrial Revolution highlights the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital literacy in dental hygiene education. However, research on students' attitudes toward AI and their digital literacy levels is limited. Therefore, this study investigated the attitudes of dental hygiene students toward AI and digital literacy levels. Methods: In total, 167 dental hygiene students in Baekseok University participated in the study and provided informed consent. The survey tool included general characteristics, smartphone usage patterns, attitudes toward AI, and digital literacy levels. Attitudes toward AI and digital literacy based on general characteristics and smart device usage were analyzed using t-tests and one-way ANOVA. Correlations among attitudes toward AI, digital literacy awareness, and digital literacy behaviors were analyzed using Pearson's correlation analysis. The impact of AI attitudes and digital literacy awareness on digital literacy behavior was examined using linear regression analysis. Results: Students with higher interest in their major had more positive attitudes toward AI, and those with higher smart device usage showed increased AI attitudes and digital literacy (p<0.05). Simple frequency or duration of smartphone use did not affect digital literacy, but students who perceived their smart device usage positively and believed that they used smart devices effectively in their studies exhibited higher levels of digital literacy (p<0.05). A positive attitude toward AI is associated with higher levels of digital literacy (p<0.05). Digital literacy awareness and attitudes toward AI influenced digital literacy behavior (p<0.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that the qualified utilization and application of digital devices in dental hygiene education are important. Improving the educational curriculum is necessary; as a result, digital technology can be effectively utilized, and various educational programs should be introduced to enhance digital literacy.

This study examines the relationship among stock options, pay equity, organizational commitment. Employees who received stock options tend to perceive their pay more equitable and the tendency shows a positive relationship among the amount of stock options and the equity perception. Also employees who received stock options perceive greater procedural equity, as they recognize stock options are awarded to many employees. However, the perception of stock options was not significantly associated with organizational commitment, turnover intention, and pay satisfaction. In 2003, the study surveyed 115 employees who received stock options in 10 publicly owned Korean firms that introduced stock option plans. The statistical analysis leads to the conclusions as follows. First, as the number of stock options increases, the receiver tends to perceive that pay system is more distributively equitable. Second, as the number of stock option receivers increases, the employees perceive the pay system more procedurally equitable. Third, stock option payments don't ensure that it improves pay satisfaction, turnover intention, and organizational commitment. This study shows a positive relationship that stock options work favorably in terms of pay equity, but the effect doesn't seem to be widely positive. The reason is that the introduction of stock options in domestic firms has been made only recently after the foreign exchange crisis in the late 1990s. More experiments and design issues should be discussed for the future.

The revolution of smart media such as smart phone, smart TV and tablets has brought easiness for people to get contents and related information anywhere and anytime. The characteristics of the smart media have changed user behavior for watching the contents from passive attitude into active one. Video is a kind of multimedia resources and widely used to provide information effectively. People not only watch video contents, but also search for related information to specific objects appeared in the contents. However, people have to use extra views or devices to find the information because the existing video contents provide no information through the contents. Therefore, the interaction between user and media is becoming a major concern. The demand for direct interaction and instant information is much increasing. Digital media environment is no longer expected to serve as a one-way information service, which requires user to search manually on the internet finding information they need. To solve the current inconvenience, an interactive service is needed to provide the information exchange function between people and video contents, or between people themselves. Recently, many researchers have recognized the importance of the requirements for interactive services, but only few services provide interactive video within restricted functionality. Only cooking domain is chosen for an interactive cooking video query service in this research. Cooking is receiving lots of people attention continuously. By using smart media devices, user can easily watch a cooking video. One-way information nature of cooking video does not allow to interactively getting more information about the certain contents, although due to the characteristics of videos, cooking videos provide various information such as cooking scenes and explanation for each recipe step. Cooking video indeed attracts academic researches to study and solve several problems related to cooking. However, just few studies focused on interactive services in cooking video and they still not sufficient to provide the interaction with users. In this paper, an interactive cooking video query service system with linked data to provide the interaction functionalities to users. A linked recipe schema is used to handle the linked data. The linked data approach is applied to construct queries in systematic manner when user interacts with cooking videos. We add some classes, data properties, and relations to the linked recipe schema because the current version of the schema is not enough to serve user interaction. A web crawler extracts recipe information from allrecipes.com. All extracted recipe information is transformed into ontology instances by using developed instance generator. To provide a query function, hundreds of questions in cooking video web sites such as BBC food, Foodista, Fine cooking are investigated and analyzed. After the analysis of the investigated questions, we summary the questions into four categories by question generalization. For the question generalization, the questions are clustered in eleven questions. The proposed system provides an environment associating UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) that allow user to watch cooking videos while obtaining the necessary additional information using extra information layer. User can use the proposed interactive cooking video system at both PC and mobile environments because responsive web design is applied for the proposed system. In addition, the proposed system enables the interaction between user and video in various smart media devices by employing linked data to provide information matching with the current context. Two methods are used to evaluate the proposed system. First, through a questionnaire-based method, computer system usability is measured by comparing the proposed system with the existing web site. Second, the answer accuracy for user interaction is measured to inspect to-be-offered information. The experimental results show that the proposed system receives a favorable evaluation and provides accurate answers for user interaction.

The Goal of SW education is to cultivate creative and convergent human resources with computational thinking ability. The content and methods of SW education are diverse, and it is difficult for the students to properly evaluate what they have learned. In order to appropriately evaluate the learning contents, SW education evaluations should be able to easily evaluate the core content of the SW education. The purpose of this study is to provide a systematic framework that can be used to develop evaluation factors to evaluate the effectiveness of SW education in elementary and secondary schools. We conducted a literature review, a field suitability review through FGI, an expert consultation, and a Delphi survey. As a result, the metrics of the cognitive domain were developed with 17 keywords in three categories: Computational Materials & Outputs (CMO), Computational Concepts (CC), and Computational Practices (CP). Also, metrics of the affective domain were developed with 13 sub-areas in four categories: value, attitude, computational thinking efficacy, and interest. The SW education evaluation factors developed in this study can be used as a framework to develop the evaluation contents in accordance with the contents of education.
It is clear that the women's participation in social activity is dramatically increased in civilian field as well as military profession. Because of the characteristics of military nursing service, there are many difficulties. Frequent move, medical insurance, baby care. and the education are typical forms of difficulties for nurse officers in the military. The purpose of this research is to contribute to the perfect execution of nursing service. guarantee the active attitude for research and improve the combat strength by solving those private and economic problems. The method of research was analysis of question survey and the review of related literatures. The subject of research was 300 active nurse officers who work at the Army Hospitals. The survey was conducted 14 days from Oct 15 to Oct 28. The collected data was processed by computer using SPSS(Statistical Package of Social Science). Frequencies and percentages were used to examine the demographic characteristics of subject, and T-test was also used in the case of necessity. The result showed as follows; As the general characteristics of subject group; 28.7 years of average age, 73.6 months of service period, 63.4% of married. In regard of specialty; General 57.7%. Intensive Care 12.7% and Psychiatries 8.8%. The dissatisfactory factors about military welfare system were the difficulties in children education (36.9%). disadvantages on the civil medical insurance system (27.3%), and little chance of self education and development (21.5%). The problems in performing their duties were shown as dwelling instability due to frequent move (67.7%), and bring up children (14.2%). The reasons for resigning their job were shown as the instability of living status (64.2%), bring up children (18.8%) and dissatisfaction to the service (11.2%). The residential status was shown that military offered houses (45.2%), rental houses (29.3%) and own houses(14.64). The average numbers of moving residencies were; 3-4 time(34.6%), less than 2 times(33.1%), and 5-7 times(21.5%). Higher than 94.7% of the subject group spent more than 50.000 Won. In regard of education, they wanted to attend graduate school with their own expense(26.2%), computer science(20%) and Office Job Training(20%). The ways of taking care of children were mother-in-low(49.6%), mother(14.6%), and others(25%). The average expenditure per month for children were 20-30 hundred Won(44.2%), 10-20 hundred Won(25%) and 30-40 hundred Won(22.3%). The places of children care selected were public or occupational care center(56.2%), religious organization(20.8%), and other center managed by social organizations(10.4%). The result of survey for general welfare of nurse officers are as follows; By and large they seem to be satisfied with their job. however. there are some dissatisfactory factors. They are children care facilties, promotion. income. welfare facilities. disadvantage in medical insurance and civil hospitals. house purchase. unfair chances in specialty training. influence on promotion by educational status. and insufficient role for their children and husbands. As conclusion. the recommendations for improving nursing service are as follows; 1. Children care center managed by occupation 2. Dormitory system for children by military personnel 3.
