Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires. Results: There were significant positive correlations between nurses' self-leadership and job involvement, and between nurses' self-leadership and clinical competence. In the multiple regression analysis, clinical career, type of department and self-leadership were significant predictors in explaining nurses' clinical competence and accounted for 28% of the variance in nurses' clinical competence. Conclusion: Study findings suggest that nurses' self-leadership is defined as having an important influence on nurses' clinical competence. In order to strengthen nurses' clinical competence, there is a need to develop education programs to increase nurses' self-leadership.

Background: Nursing focuses on the development of an empathic relationship between the nurse and the patients. Compassionate competence, in particular, is a very important trait for oncology nurses. The current study sought to determine the degree of compassionate competence in oncology nurses, as well as to determine the relationships between compassionate competence, burnout, job stress, turnover intention, degrees of job satisfaction, and organizational commitment in oncology nurses. Materials and Methods: A descriptive correlational study evaluating the relationships between compassionate competence, burnout, job stress, turnover intention, degrees of job satisfaction, and organizational commitment in 419 oncology nurses was conducted between January 30 and February 20, 2015. Results: The average score of compassionate competence for oncology nurses in the current study was higher than for clinical nurses. Conclusions: The correlational analysis between compassionate competence and organizational commitment, burnout, job stress, turnover intention, and degree of job satisfaction revealed a high correlation between compassionate competence and positive job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Conclusions: Compassionate competence was higher in oncology nurses than in nurses investigated in previous studies and positively correlated with work experience. Job satisfaction and organizational commitment in nurses may be improved through compassionate competence enhancement programs that employ a variety of experiences.

Methods: The study subjects were 142 healthcare workers at a general hospital. Data were collected using a questionnaire on cultural competence, intercultural communicative competence, and multi-cultural job stress. A t-test, ANOVA Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis were conducted using SPSS. Moreover, multi-cultural job stress was significantly related to religion. In multiple regression results, cultural competence was found to be related to intercultural communicative competence and multi-cultural job stress. The purpose of this study was to explore the moderating effect of learning strategy levels on the relationship between academic grit and career development competence perceived by high school students. The sample for this study comprised 573 high school students, and data analysis was conducted mainly using reliability analysis, correlation analysis, K-mean cluster analysis, hierarchical regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the learning strategy levels moderated the relationship between academic grit and career development competence. This study suggest it is necessary to provide grit enhancement programs coupled with learning strategy levels in order to facilitate career development competence. The future studies need to explore the literature review for logical relationship between academic grit and career development competence, the qualitative approach for drawing on the theoretical models among the related variables, and the relational research to explore mediating or moderating effect of the individual backgrounds and related variables on the relationship between academic grit and career development competence.
The purposes of this study were to test the differences in communicative competence and conflict-resolving strategies between both popular and rejected children, and to thereby verify the discriminance of communicative competence and conflict-resolving strategies for both types of children. 52 popular children and 41 rejected children from among a pool of 202 6th grade elementary students were selected, and the data were analyzed by means of independent sample t-test and discriminant analysis. The research findings are as follows : First, listen up (sub-factors of perceiving), self-presentation, planning, and coding revealed statistically significant differences between the popular and the rejected children. Second, only negotiation and cooperation strategies revealed any statistically significant differences between the popular and the rejected children, while other sub-factors of conflict-resolving strategies indicated broad indifference between them. Third, it was only the factor of planning among 5 factors of communicative competence and 4 factors within conflict-resolving strategies which indicated that it was the most discriminant predictor between the popular and the rejected children. These results suggest that a comprehensive program is needed to improve the communicative competence and conflict-resolving strategies of rejected children.
Purpose: This study aimed to identify the influence of communication competence and self-efficacy of nurses at children's hospitals on the nurse-parent partnership. Methods: Data were collected by surveying (from July 4th to August 4th, 2019) 162 nurses who had 6 or more months of experience across 15 children's hospitals in G City and B Metropolitan City. Using SPSS 23.0 for Windows for data analysis, t-tests, analysis of variance, Bonferroni tests, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis were performed. Results: The nurse-parent partnership showed significantly positive correlations with nurses' communication competence and with self-efficacy. There was a significantly positive correlation between nurses' communication competence and self-efficacy. The factors influencing the nurse-parent partnership were nurses' communication competence, job satisfaction, and self-efficacy; the total explanatory power of these variables was 47.0%. Conclusion: Since the communication competence of nurses at children's hospitals was identified as a major factor influencing the nurse-parent partnership, it may be meaningful to conduct basic research aimed at developing strategies to improve this partnership at children's hospitals.
This paper deals with the effects of teamwork competence on problem solving ability through the mediating effect of creative personality for the engineering students. For this purpose, a regression-based statistical mediation analysis has been performed for a simple mediation model in which teamwork competence and problem solving ability were treated as independent and dependent variables respectively, and creative personality was included as a mediation variable. The analysis results showed that the teamwork competence has direct effect on the problem solving ability as well as indirect effect through the creative personality. This result implies that the problem solving ability can be improved directly by improving the teamwork competence, and moreover, it can be further improved indirectly or through the mediation effect by improving the creative personality. Thus, in order to develop excellent problem solving ability, it is necessary to form team members in a balanced way between teamwork competence and creative personality in the team-based learning.
