  • This study purposes to analyze how the level of compensation system qualify(transparency, fairness, controllability) affects the satisfaction of employee concerned with compensation system and work efforts. To test above mentioned objectives, i conduct using the survey data directly survey and e-mail to the MBA students of university located In southeastern korea and analyze using the structural equation model. The results of this paper are as follows. First, the analysis results demonstrate a positive relationship between the level of compensation system qualify and the satisfaction of employee concerned with compensation system. Second, the level of compensation system quality positively affects employee' work efforts. Thirdly, the satisfaction of employee concerned with compensation system also positive effects on work effort. The above results mean that if the level of compensation system quality is higher, employee are satisfied with the compensation system, and increase the level of work effort.

  • For a shunt power quality controller (SPQC) the DC side voltage value which is closely related to the compensation performance is a significant parameter. Buy so far, very little discussion has been conducted on this in a quantitative manner by previous publications. In this paper, a method to design the DC side voltage of SPQC is presented according to the compensation performance in the single-phase system and the three-phase system respectively. First, for the reactive current and the harmonic current compensation, a required minimal value of the DC side voltage with a zero total harmonic distortion (THD) of the source current and a unit power factor is obtained for a typical load, through the equivalent circuit analysis and the Fourier Transform analytical expressions. Second, when the DC side voltage of SPQC is lower than the above-obtained minimal value, the quantitative relationship between the DC side voltage and the THD after compensation is also elaborated using the curve diagram. Hardware experimental results verify the design method.

  • The main purpose of this study is the comprehensive review of the compensation system that affects the employee's job satisfaction and turnover intention. This study is mainly designed to review previous studies of the impact of compensation system, and suggest meaningful implications in relation to firm's performance. It is clarified that compensation is positively related to firm's performance, and the perceived equity mediates the relationship between compensation and performance. It is suggested that an empirical research should be done based on the formulated propositions of this research.

  • This paper examines the role of adverse working environments in the determination of workers' compensation in South Korean. I use the Third Korean Working Conditions Survey(2011), Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute that provide relevant variables in objective and subjective compensation and workers of diverse working environment. I find that risk factors in adverse working environments have a very minor role in the determination of individual wages. In contrast, adverse working environments have significant relationship with the level of compensation satisfaction. In addition, the results show that workers are more likely to receive compensation from psychological risk than physical risk. And women receive much more compensation in the psychological risk. These results provide useful information for improvement of working environments.

  • This study was carried out for analysing the relationship of environmental factors and the reduction rate of land compensation of six urban development projects near waste landfill sites located in the Seoul metropolitan area. For a close investigation, 24 variables were selected but only 4 environmental variables were identified to have high correlation to the reduction rate of compensation. These are fine particles(PM10), bad smell, the ratio of a greening zone of land and park, and the distance in straight line from the landfill site. Two variables-PM10 and bad smell-were found to have an effect on the average reduction rate of land compensation by correlation analysis. On the other hand, the ratio of a greening zone and the distance in straight line from the landfill site have been rejected for the significance test. The result of regression analysis of six models for the search of affecting variables on the reduction rate of compensation is that PM10 and bad smell have the impact ratio of more than 0.5. But the ratio of greening zone and the distance from the landfill are not significant factors, having the impact ratio of 0.025~0.045 except one model.

  • Purpose: This study aims to measuring the employee performance distributions of company in using relationship analysis between motivation, organization learning, compensation, and Organizational commitment. Research design and methodology: The study was conducted on 102 employees as a sample. Data were analyzed using Path Analysis in Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with PLS. Results: the research result has shown that motivation and compensation have a positive significant effect on organizational commitment. While organizational learning has negative and insignificant effect on organizational commitment. Furthermore, motivation, organizational learning and motivation have no significant effect on employee performance distribution and organizational commitment has a positive significant effect on employee performance distribution. Results for mediating effect has obtained where organizational commitment mediates the effect of motivation and compensation on employee performance distribution, but cannot mediate the effect of organizational learning on employee performance distribution. Conclusion: Organizational commitment in this study can make employees feel comfortable and attached to the company so that employees can perform well to achieve company goals. Motivation and compensation are driving factors in improving employee performance distribution and will achieved if employees have good organizational commitment. In this study, organizational learning is not an important factor in improving employee performance distribution.

  • Robot calibration is very important to improve the accuracy of robot manipulators. However, the calibration procedure is very time consuming and laborious work for users. In this paper, we propose a method of relative error compensation to make the calibration procedure easier. The method is completed by a Pi-Sigma network architecture which has sufficient capability to approximate the relative relationship between the accuracy compensations and robot configurations while maintaining an efficient network learning ability. By experiment of 4-DOF SCARA robot, KIRO-3, it is shown that both the error of joint angles and the positioning error of end effector are drop to 15$\%$. These results are similar to those of other calibration methods, but the number of measurement is remarkably decreased by the suggested compensation method.

  • For successful assembly of flexible parts, informations about their deformation as well as possible misalignments between the holes and their mating parts are essential. Such informations can be acquired from visual sensors. For robotic assembly, the corrective assembly motion to compensate for such misalignments has to be determined from the measured informations. However, this may not be simply derived from the measured misalignment alone because the part deformation progressively occurs during misalignment compensation. Based on the analysis of flexible parts assembly process, this paper presents a neural net-based inference system that can infer the complex relationship between the corrective motion and the measured information of parts deformation and misalignments. And it verifies the performance of the implemented inference system. The results show that the proposed neural net-based misalignment compensation algorithm Is effective in compensating for the lateral misalignment, and that it can be extended to the assembly tasks under more general conditions.

  • An approach to robot force control, which allows force manipulations to be realized without overshot and overdamping while in the presence of unknown environment, is given in this paper. The main idea is to use dynamic compensation for known robot parts and fuzzy compensation for unknown environment so as to improve system performance. The fuzzy compensation is implemented by using rule based fuzzy approach to identify unknown environment. The establishment of proposed control system consists of following two stages. First, similar to the resolved acceleration control method, dynamic compensation and PID control based on known robot dynamics, kinematics and estimated environment compliance is introduced. To avoid overshoot the whole control system is constructed overdamped. In the second stage, the unknown environment stiffness is estimated by using fuzzy reasoning, where the fuzzy estimation rules are obtained priori as the expression of the relationship between environment stiffness and system response. Based on simulation result, comparisons between cases with or without fuzzy identifications are given, which illustrate the improvement achieved.

  • The aim of this paper is to increase the performance of hysteresis compensation for Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) actuators by using inverse Preisach model in closed-loop control system. This is used to reduce hysteresis effects and improve accuracy for the displacement of SMA actuators. Firstly, hysteresis is identified by numerical Preisach model implementation. The geometrical interpretation from first order transition curves is used for hysteresis modeling. Secondly, the inverse Preisach model is formulated and incorporated in closed-loop PID control system in order to obtain desired current-to-displacement relationship with hysteresis reducing. The experimental results for hysteresis compensation by using this method are also shown in this paper.
