  • In this article, we shall prove a common fixed point theorem for two weakly compatible self-maps 𝒫 and 𝔔 on a dislocated metric space (M, d*) satisfying the following ξ-weakly expansive condition: d*(𝒫c, 𝒫d) ≥ d* (𝔔c, 𝔔d) + ξ(∧(𝔔c, 𝔔d)), ∀ c, d ∈ M, where $${\wedge}(Qc,\;Qd)=max\{d^*(Qc,\;Qd),\;d^*(Qc,\;\mathcal{P}c),\;d^*(Qd,\;\mathcal{P}d),\;\frac{d^*(Qc,\;\mathcal{P}c){\cdot}d^*(Qd,\;\mathcal{P}d)}{1+d^*(Qc,\;Qd)},\;\frac{d^*(Qc,\;\mathcal{P}c){\cdot}d^*(Qd,\;\mathcal{P}d)}{1+d^*(\mathcal{P}c,\;\mathcal{P}d)}\}$$. Also, we have proved common fixed point theorems for the above mentioned weakly compatible self-maps along with E.A. property and (CLR) property. An illustrative example is also provided to support our results.

  • In this paper, we aim to prove certain common fixed point theorems for a pair of weakly compatible mappings satisfying (CLRg) (or (E.A)) property in the bicomplex valued metric spaces. We also provide some examples which support the main results here.

  • The aim of the present paper is three fold. Firstly, we obtain common fixed point theorems for a pair of selfmaps satisfying nonexpansive or Lipschitz type condition by using the notion of pointwise R-weak commutativity but without assuming the completeness of the space or continuity of the mappings involved (Theorem 1, Theorem 2 and Theorem 3). Secondly, we generalize the results obtained in first three theorems for four mappings by replacing the condition of noncompatibility of maps with the property (E.A) and using the R-weak commutativity of type $(A_g)$ (Theorem 4). Thirdly, in Theorem 5, we show that if the aspect of noncompatibility is taken in place of the property (E.A), the maps become discontinuous at their common fixed point. We, thus, provide one more answer to the problem posed by Rhoades [11] regarding the existence of contractive definition which is strong enough to generate fixed point but does not forces the maps to become continuous.

  • In this paper we show that if A ∈ L(X) and R ∈ L(X) is a quasinilpotent operator commuting with A then XA(F) = XA+R(F) for all subset F ⊆ ℂ and 𝜎loc(A) = 𝜎loc(A + R). Moreover, we show that A and A + R share many common local spectral properties such as SVEP, property (C), property (𝛿), property (𝛽) and decomposability. Finally, we show that quasisimility preserves local spectrum.

  • Purpose - This study empirically investigates whether the risk property included in fat-tails of return distributions is systematic or unsystematic based on the devised statistical methods. Design/methodology/approach - This study devised empirical designs based on two traditional methods: principal component analysis (PCA) and the testing method of portfolio diversification effect. The fatness of the tails in return distributions is quantitatively measured by statistical probability. Findings - According to the results, the risk property in the fat-tails of return distributions has the economic meanings of eigenvalues having a value greater than 1 through PCA, and also systematic risk that cannot be removed through portfolio diversification. In other words, the fat-tails of return distributions have the properties of the common factors, which may explain the changes of stock returns. Meanwhile, the fatness of the tails in the portfolio return distributions shows the asymmetric relationship of common factors on the tails of return distributions. The negative tail in the portfolio return distribution has a much closer relation with the property of common factors, compared to the positive tail. Research implications or Originality - This empirical evidence may complement the existing studies related to tail risk which is utilized in pricing models as a common factor.

  • Let T ${\in}$ $\mathcal{L}$(X), S ${\in}$ $\mathcal{L}$(Y ), A ${\in}$ $\mathcal{L}$(X, Y ) and B ${\in}$ $\mathcal{L}$(Y,X) such that SA = AT, TB = BS, AB = S and BA = T. Then S and T shares that same local spectral properties SVEP, property (${\beta}$), property $({\beta})_{\epsilon}$, property (${\delta}$) and decomposability. From these common local spectral properties, we give some results related with Aluthge transforms and subscalar operators.

  • Today, customer-requirements are getting various, so manufacturing companies face many problems to reflect them with its' new product development or product variety. As the product model managed by companies is more increasing, there might be much more selection conditions and many kinds of parts requited for it. With those reasons, it demands many different kinds of BOM information for new product development and product variety. Under the those manufacturing environment, we can realize that lots of current products have shared many design property and common parts with those of old version. This thesis present these new products for common characteries are classified design property and common parts with those of old version. with product family and it define with modelling language which is Generic BOM. The suggested prototype programmed with Power Builder 6.0 and Ms-SQL is to help companies manage common parts and develop new product effectively by classifying product family's basic characteries with basic and changable levels.

  • The purpose of this paper is to establish some coupled coincidence point theorems for a pair of mappings having a strict mixed g-monotone property satisfying a contractive condition of rational type in the framework of partially ordered metric spaces. Also, we present a result on the existence and uniqueness of coupled common fixed points. The results presented in the paper generalize and extend several well-known results in the literature.
