Necessary conditions for the existence of common fixed points for noncommuting mappings satisfying generalized contractive conditions in a Menger convex metric space are obtained. As an application, related results on best approximation are derived. Our results generalize various well known results.

The purpose of this paper is to give some new iterative methods for finding a common zero of a finite family of monotone operators in Hilbert spaces. We also give the applications of the obtained result for the convex feasibility problem and constrained convex optimization problem in Hilbert spaces.

In this paper, we propose an iterative algorithm for finding a common solution of a system of generalized equilibrium problems, a split equilibrium problem and a hierarchical fixed point problem over the common fixed points set of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces. Furthermore, we prove that the proposed iterative method has strong convergence under some mild conditions imposed on algorithm parameters. The results presented in this paper improve and extend the corresponding results reported by some authors recently.

The common accumulator was designed for solving the maldistribution problem of oil at the air conditioning system with two compressors. The oil level inside two compressors was visualized by using a common accumulator on the various operating conditions. As a result of the visualization, oil distribution inside two compressors was achieved appropriately according to the capacity of each compressor. Uniform distribution of oil was also accomplished at on and off operation condition.

In this paper, various methods for finding confidence intervals for common odds ratio $\psi$ of the K 2${\times}$2 tables are reviewed. Also we propose two jackknife confidence intervals and bootstrap confidence intervals for $\psi$. These confidence intervals are compared with the other existing confidence intervals by using Monte Carlo simulation with respect to the average coverage probability.

The objective of this manuscript is to continue the study of fixed point theory in dislocated metric spaces, introduced by Hitzler et al. [12]. Concretely, we apply the concept of dislocated metric spaces and obtain theorems asserting the existence of common fixed points for a pair of mappings satisfying new generalized rational contractions in such spaces.

The object of this paper is to establish a unique common fixed point theorem through weak compatibility for a sequence of self-maps satisfying a generalized contractive condition in a generalized Menger space. It improves and generalizes the result of Milovanovic-Arandelovic [2], Vasuki [10] and Sehgal and Bharucha-Reid [8]. All the results presented in this paper are new.

The object of this paper is to prove two unique common fixed point theorems for a pair of a set-valued map and a self map satisfying a general contractive condition using orbital concept and weak-compatibility of the pair. One of these results generalizes substantially, the result of Dhage, Jennifer and Kang [4]. Simultaneously, its implications for two maps and one map improves and generalizes the results of Dhage [3], and Rhoades [11]. All the results of this paper are new.

In this paper, we develop the noninformative priors for the common shape parameter in the gamma distributions. We develop the matching priors and reveal that the second order matching prior does not exist. It turns out that the one-at-a-time reference prior and the two group reference prior satisfy a first order probability matching criterion. Some simulation study is peformed.
