간호학 임상실습 현장지도자 핵심역량 측정도구 개발 (Development of Core Competency Scale for clinical nursing student educators)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop a Core Competency Scale for clinical nursing student educators. Methods: In this study, we constructed a conceptual framework, selected initial items, verified the content validity, conducted two rounds of Delphi expert consultation, selected secondary and tertiary items, and extracted the final items. The study included 242 clinical educators for nursing students. Item analysis, factor analysis, criterion validity, and internal consistency were used for the data analyses. Results: For the final scale, 35 items were selected and 5 factors were categorized, which together explain 61.7% of the total variance. The factors were education and evaluation, research and cooperation, ethical/legal principles, presenting leadership, and clinical practice. The scores for the scale significantly correlated with the teaching efficacy scale for clinical nursing instructors. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the 35 items was .96. Conclusion: The findings of this study demonstrated that the core competency scale has good validity and reliability. This scale can be used to assess the competency of clinical educators for nursing students; hence, it will help in evaluating the relationship between the skills of clinical educators for nursing students and the self-efficacy of those students.

일 대학 간호학생의 자기효능감, 실습만족도 및 기본간호수기술과의 관계 (A Study Related to Self-Efficacy, Satisfaction with Practice and Fundamentals of Nursing Practicum)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among self-efficacy, satisfaction with practice and fundamentals of nursing practicum in student nurses. Method: The participants were 185 first year students at K College of Nursing in Jeonbuk Province who were taking a practicum for Fundamentals of Nursing and agreed to participate in the study. Data collection was done from November 19 to 30, 2007. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire on self-efficacy, satisfaction with practice and fundamentals of nursing practicum. Data were analyzed by SPSS-PC ver 12.0. Results: Self-efficacy and fundamentals of nursing practicum were significantly different depending on satisfaction with major and school life. Satisfaction with practice was significantly different depending on relationship with schoolmates and school life. Self-efficacy showed a significantly positive correlation with satisfaction with practice and fundamentals of nursing practicum. Also, satisfaction with practice showed a significantly positive correlation with fundamentals of nursing practicum. Conclusion: This study suggests that self-efficacy helps student nurses to plan a self-directed nursing performance, improves their ability to solve problems and helps to perform fundamentals of nursing practicum well.

  • Purpose: This study is analyzing nurse managers's common fundamental competencies changes and responses to the application of the action learning, and promoting introduction and revitalization of action learning. Method: The research design is one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects are 40 nurse managers. The program was performed for 5 weeks. Data were collected before the program and after 5 weeks program and were analyzed with paired t-test. Result: Action learning was an effective way to develop an individual and team and to solve the problem of organization. There were more significant increases after the program than before the program on common fundamental competencies(p<.05). Conclusion: This study has us confirm that action learning is an effective education method for organization members on the spot to recognize their problem and study by themselves and solve the practical problems with various solution process.

간호대학생의 간호직 인식 영향요인 (The Factors Influencing Nursing Profession Perception of Nursing Student)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the factors influencing the nursing profession perception of nursing students. Methods: Data were collected with a questionnaire distributed to 305 nursing students in U city. Data were collected from March 30 to June 15, 2019. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 22.0 program. Results: There were significant differences in the level of interpersonal trust (F=5.42, p<.001), empathy ability (F=3.13, p=.015), interpersonal relationship ability (F=3.64, p=.006) and nursing profession perception (F=11.95, p<.001) on the major satisfaction. The level of interpersonal trust (r=.21, p<.001), empathy ability (r=.27, p<.001) and interpersonal relationship ability (r=.28, p<.001) were positively correlated with nursing profession perception. Also empathy ability (r=.11, p=.047), interpersonal relationship ability (r=.49, p<.001) with interpersonal trust and correlation of empathy ability with interpersonal relationship ability (r=.32, p<.001) were positively correlated with each other. The significant variables that influence the nursing profession perception were grade, major satisfaction, empathy ability and interpersonal relationship ability. These factors were responsible for 21.3%. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that educational programs are necessary to raise the nursing perception of nursing students and reduce the turnover of nurses.

시뮬레이션기반 실습교육이 간호대학생의 고용가능성, 진로탐색행동 및 진로결정 자기효능감에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Simulation-based Practice Education on Employability, Career Exploration Behavior and Decision-making Self-efficacy of the Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 시뮬레이션기반 실습교육이 간호대학생들의 고용가능성, 진로탐색행동 및 진로결정 자기효능감에 미치는 효과를 확인하고자 시도되었다. 비동등성 대조군 전후설계를 적용한 유사실험설계로 J지역 소재 3학년 학생을 편의표집하여 총 120명의 간호대학생들로, 실험군 60명, 대조군 60명이 연구에 참여하였다. 실험군은 6주간 실험에 참여하였다. 연구결과, 시뮬레이션기반 실습교육은 간호대학생의 고용가능성(t=-2.31, p=.023), 진로탐색행동(t=-3.05, p=.003)을 유의하게 증가시켰으나, 진로결정 자기효능감(t=-.87, p=.387)은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 결론적으로 시뮬레이션기반 실습교육은 간호대학생들의 교육에 유용하므로 강화해야 할 것이다.

시뮬레이션 실습이 접목된 문제중심학습에 대한 간호학생의 PBL 학습요소별 인식과 학업성취도 (Learning Element Recognition and Academic Achievement of Nursing Student Receiving PBL with Simulation Education)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze how a nursing student recognizes PBL with simulation education and its relationship to academic achievement. Methods: The study objects were the students in C college who learn through PBL using simulator for 15 weeks(September 2007 to December 2007). Learning element recognition was developed by Cho(2002) and three key evaluations(performance, self-evaluation, and colleague evaluation) were designed by professors. Results: Learning element recognition ranged from 2.37 to 4.83 with the average at 3.94. For Learning element recognition, students who preferred discussion score 4.15. This was statistically more significant than those who do not. Students who preferred presentations show significantly higher score in colleague evaluation. For Learning element recognition and academic achievement, self-evaluation and colleague evaluation showed relationship to PBL learning element. Conclusion: There was definitely a relationship with PBL learning element and academic achievement after learning the PBL with simulation education.

첫 임상실습이 간호학생이 지각하는 간호사의 이미지에 미치는 영향 (Changes in the Image of the Nurse for Student Nurses before and after their First Clinical Experience)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify changes in the image of the nurse for student nurses before and after their first clinical experience. Method: The participants were 108 nursing students who had not had any clinical experience. All participants had their first clinical experience for 1 week. and the image of the nurse was measured before and after the clinical experience. Result : 1) Before the first clinical experience, the scores on the image of the nurse that was the highest for the student nurses was in the professional dimension, followed by traditional, personal, and social in that order. After the clinical experience, the score on the image of the nurse was still the highest in the professional dimension, but this time, it was followed by personal, traditional and social dimension in that order. 2) Difference in the image of the nurse before and after the clinical experience showed statistical significance. The factors influencing this change were the degree of satisfaction with their major, whether the students had ever been hospitalized, and the type of wards where they had their clinical experience. Conclusion: In summary, the first clinical experience should be ideal in order to promote the image of the nurse. Therefore an improvement in the environment for clinical experience is important.

간호대학생을 위한 시뮬레이션 기반의 아동간호 인수인계에 관한 동영상 실습교육과 시뮬레이션 실습교육의 효과 (Utilizing Video vs Simulation Practice for Handoff Education of Nursing Students in Pediatric Nursing)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a model for handoff education for nursing students based on simulation using video and to identify educational effects of a simulated situation in pediatric care units. Methods: Data were collected from May 1 to 30, 2016. Participants were 84 senior nursing students in Seoul (video group: 43, simulation group: 41). Both groups were given a lecture and pre-briefing on handoff education. The simulation group had nursing practice on resolving health issues for respiratory distress using a high-fidelity baby simulator. The video group watched a video recording of a scenario based simulation, and used a summarized handoff situation to practice patient handoff to another student. Results: There was no significant difference between the two groups for handoff self-confidence, problem solving ability, handoff competence (self-assessment of students), or learning satisfaction. Self-confidence increased significantly in both groups. Handoff competency evaluated by the instructor was higher in the video group compared to the simulation group (t=2.33, p=.022). Conclusion: Nursing student education for handoff practice utilizing a video in the pediatric unit was more cost effective. Therefore, it could be a useful educational method for students in learning patient handoff practices and helpful for related research.

간호 대학생의 셀프리더십, 자기효능감, 대인관계, 대학생활 만족 (Nursing Students' Self-Leadership, Self-Efficacy, Interpersonal Relation, College Life Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 간호 대학생들의 전공에 대한 전문적 지식 습득 외에도 임상실습이라는 상황으로 인해 사회적 노출을 일찍 경험하게 되어 대학생활 적응에 큰 장벽으로 작용하고 있는 것으로 나타나 간호 대학생들의 대학생활만족을 향상시키는 일환으로 이에 영향을 주는 셀프리더십, 자기효능감, 대인관계간의 관계를 규명하여 대학생활 만족에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 이들 간의 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 경로분석을 적용하여 분석하였다. 4개 간호대학의 임상실습 경험이 있는 375명의 학생을 대상으로 2014년 3월 2일에서 3월 31일까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구결과에서 간호대학생의 셀프리더십, 자기효능감, 대인관계 및 대학생활 만족 간에는 모두 유의한 양적 상관관계가 있었으며 이들 변수는 대학생활 만족에 대한 경로를 26.8% 설명하는 것으로 나타났고 셀프리더십과 대인관계가 대학생활만족에 유의한 직접효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 대학생활 만족에 유의한 차이를 보이는 일반적 특성을 고려하고 셀프리더십, 자기 효능감, 대인관계를 증진시키기 위한 교육 프로그램의 개발과 교과과정의 실시가 요구된다.

간호학생의 진로 및 취업의사결정 과정에 관한 연구 (Process of the Nursing Students Decision-making for Their Course and Job)

  • This study examines attitudes among nursing student, attitudes that give direction in life and effect the decision-making process when seeking employment. The exigency of which derives from the need to design a proper guidance program to assist students in their search for employment. Data was collected from a survey conducted between November 20 and November 25, 1995, the respondants of which were 120 nursing students without jobs. The data was analyzed by examining frequency, percentage, average, Chi-square, one-way ANOVA and t-test through an SPSS $PC^+$ program. The results of the study can be summarized as follows : 1) There are positive relationship between a student's academic major and employment(So responded 84.3% of the subjects with only 2.5% claiming that his major didn't matter). 2) Students believe that 'good jobs' are secured through aptitude. 'Good jobs' are seen as ones which develop an individuals abilities and which offer the opportunity for advancement. However they do not believe that 'good Jobs' contribute to society 3) Students have not been supplied the proper guidance and information necessary for finding employment. The student's life research institude, professor and assistants provide Insufficient information and counseling. Personal goals are decisive factors in determining what direction a student may take as well as the kind of employment he will seek. However, advice from parents, siblings, friends, alumni, professors, assistants and counselors is also considered. 4) Students do not think it reasonable to base their career decisions on one factor only(33.9% responded that aptitude and personal interests were the most important factor, and 14.9% that income was the key determinant). 5) Location and size of the hospital are important considerations when choosing a job. There is a preference for larger hospitals. 6) A lack of stability and few opportunities for advancement are perceived as the primary reasons for the possibility of leaving one's job.
