Methods : From April to June in 2015, mentally healthy 162 college students were completed the questionnaire for problem drinking and sensory processing features. Both Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile and Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test-Korean were used as measurements for correlation. Results : Depends on the existence of the problem drinking, there was no statistical differences between groups in sensory processing features. In group of problem drinking, the result indicated the positive correlation between problem drinking and sensory processing feature (r=.195). Conclusion : Problem drinking had significant relationship with sensory sensitivity. Therapists should understand the features of college students with problem drinking. It would be desirable to develop a proper evaluation and intervention programs for these people.

  • Women's perceptions of body size and body image are important topics for researchers in multiple fields. The terms body image or body self refer to perceptions and beliefs that an individual holds about his or her body (Rosenbaum, 1979; Schilder, 1953). Few studies have focused on body image perceptions as they relate to parent-child pairs. This study investigated the perceptions that mothers and daughters each had of their own body, the other's body, and their ideals for the same. The purposive sample used in this study consisted of 41 mother-daughter pairs. The sampled focus was girls between ages 9 and 14, and their mothers. Significant differences between how mothers saw their daughters and how daughters saw themselves emerged only for the plus size group. The clearest significant difference between mothers and daughters was in their dissatisfaction with themselves. The mothers were more dissatisfied. flus-size girls were significantly more dissatisfied with their mothers' bodies than normal size girls were with their mothers' bodies. The mothers of plus size girls were significantly more dissatisfied with their daughters' bodies than were the mothers of normal size daughters.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of positive psychology-based literacy therapy program on elementary school students' happiness by constructing a literature therapy program based on positive psychology. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the program, the experiment group and the control group were subjected to the pre - test. The same test as that carried out in the test was conducted. The pre - and post - scores of experimental group and control group were compared and analyzed by independent sample t-test. The results of this study were as follows. First, literature therapy programs based on positive psychology were found to be effective in improving elementary school students' happiness (t = 10.175, p <.001). Second, the effects of positive psychology - based literacy therapy programs on self - esteem, optimism, friendship, and family environment were found to affect all four factors (t = 5.720, p <.001). Therefore, the children tend to equate themselves with the person in the book, so that the short and concise sentence of the poem can convey emotion and emotion to the child.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the applicability of virtual reality simulation after experience of dental caries diagnosis for dental students before exposing to clinical pediatric practice. A pediatric patient model of a five-year-old child with primary dentition was developed and a caries model that is amenable to VR(virtual reality) diagnosis was organized and set-up. The dental student's were allowed to use the simulated model for fifteen minutes and their experiences were evaluated using a self-reported questionnaire to evaluate presence and usability of this application. Overall, virtual presence and appearance area of the simulation were highly scored. The result indicates that the VR model has no significant difference from the actual clinical caries regardless of grade of students, gender and VR experience. If the prototype is continuously advanced, its applicability in dental education will increase.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine any possible gaps between the recognition of early childhood teachers on instructional planning elements and their implementation. The subjects in this study were 341 teachers who worked in Province. The collected data were analyzed by paired t-test, one-way ANOVA - test. The alpha coefficients of the instruments were 0.92 and 0.94 respectively, which showed the instruments were both reliable. The teachers investigated scored high when a four-point scale was utilized, but they scored lower in implementation than in recognition. In conclusion, teachers were well aware of instructional planning elements and performed well, but they had more difficulties in implementation than in recognition. When their recognition and implementation were evaluated by the type of institution and preschooler age in charge, the national and public kindergarten teachers were rated highest, and those who were in charge of five-year- olds in Western age were rated highest. The above-mentioned findings suggest that it's necessary to take actions to boost the recognition and implementation of teachers in relation to instructional planning elements.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a picture book-based leadership program on children's leadership. The participants of the study were 76, four- and five-year-old children of two kindergartens located in Seoul. The subjects participated in a 10-week program. The program was conducted once a week, for a total of 10 times during two and a half months. Children's leadership rating scale(Jang & Hwang, 2009) was used in the collection of data by teachers. A pre-post test paired-samples t-test and ANCOVA(analysis of covariance) were conducted to analyze the differences between the experimental group and the comparative group in leadership. The results of this study were as follows: First, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the comparative group in the leadership scores of 5-year old children of the leadership scores of teachers. Second, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the comparative group in the scores of challenges and self-confidence, self-control, and problem solving ability among the leadership component factors only among 5-year old children.

  • The purpose of this study is to discover how therapeutic music making affects the way of communications in single-parent families. To do this, the study conducted a therapeutic music making program in two families consisting of a mother and a child. Songwriting, Ostinato-creating, improvisation imitation, and ensemble were used as musical interventions. The results of this study are following. First, the participant group B improved from 59 to 69.5 point after the program. However, the group A decreased from 81 to 75.5 point mainly due to frequent absences, differences in applying music. Second, the analysis of the results of verbal, nonverbal and musical responses from the program suggests that the group B gradually improved functional communications as each session develops. For the case of group A, at the initial stage, dysfunctional communications in verbal and nonverbal ones could be found. After the eighth session however, functional communications had increased. The result of the study shows that overall therapeutic music making has been an effective musical intervention in improving communication in single-parent families.

  • This study was performed to assess the nutrient intake and dietary diversity of Korean children and adolescents using the Korean dietary pattern index developed in previous studies. For this study, 6,462 children and adolescents aged 7~18y who participated in the dietary intake survey (24h recall method) of the 2007~2013 KNHANES were sampled. The food items included in the Korean dietary index were jusik-ryu, guk/tang-ryu, gui/jjim-ryu, namul-ryu, yeomjangchaeso-ryu, jang-ryu and mitbanchan-ryu. All the subjects and both age groups (7~12y, 13~18y) were divided into quartiles. According to the results of this study, the range of the Korean dietary pattern score was 0~58 for all of the subjects and also in the 13~18 age group, and was 0~52 in the 7~12y age group. When the pattern score for each food group was compared across the quartiles of the Korean dietary pattern score, in all the subjects as well as in the 7~12y and 13~18y age groups, the pattern score for jusik-ryu and yeomjangchaeso-ryu was highest in Q1~Q4. or all the food groups, the mean pattern score was highest in Q4. These results suggested that the Korean dietary pattern score is highly associated with jusik-ryu including rice and yeomjangchaeso-ryu including kimchi. Accordingly, it is considered necessary to develop an index that reflects the characteristics of Korean cuisine and, at the same time, assesses the nutritional status and food consumption tendency of Korean children and adolescents.
