  • In this paper, we propose to synchronization method for mutual cooperative control method that have unstable limit cycles in a chaos trajectory surface in the chaotic UAVs. We assume all obstacles in the chaos trajectory surface have a Van der Pol equation with an unstable limit cycle. We also show computer simulation results of Arnold equation, Chua's equation trajectories with one or more Van der Pol as a obstacles. We proposed and verified the results of the method to make the embedding chaotic UAV to synchronization with the chaotic trajectory in any plane.

  • The analysis of distribution line faults is essential to the proper protection of power system. A high impedance fault(HIF) dose not make enough current to cause conventional protective device operating, so it is well known that undesirable operating conditions and certain types of faults on electric distribution feeders cannot be detected by using conventional protection system. In this paper, we prove that the nature of the high impedance faults is indeed a deterministic chaos, not a random motion. Algorithms for estimating Lyapunov spectrum and the largest Lyapunov exponent are applied to various fault currents detections in order to evaluate the orbital instability peculiar to deterministic chaos dynamically, and fractal dimensions of fault currents which represent geometrical self-similarity are calculated. Wavelet transform analysis is applied the time-scale information to fault signal. Time-scale representation of high impedance faults can detect easily and localize correctly the fault waveform.

  • In this paper, an robust adaptive backstepping controller is proposed for the chaos system with disturbances. This controller will be applicable to the chaos system of strict-feedback form and utilize the saturation function for decreasing the effect of disturbances derived from unmodelled dynamics and external noise. It shows that backstepping algorithm can be used to solve the problems of nonlinear system very well and robust controller can be designed without the variation of adaptive law. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

  • Controlling chaos is a new concept, which transform chaotic signal to fixed points, or low periodic orbits. In this paper we propose state feedback method in order to control chaotic signal in canonical Chua's circuit Canonical Chua's circuit is a simple electronic circuit consists of two linear resistors, a linear inductor, two linear capacitors, and only one nonlinear element so called Chua's diode. This nonlinear element supplies power to the circuit and drives the chaotic oscillations. Proposed control method is successful to control chaotic signal in canonical Chua's circuit Result shows that chaotic trajectory change rapidly its orbit to stable fixed points, 1 periodic orbit, or 2 periodic orbit when control signal applies.

  • In this paper, an active backstepping design is proposed to achieve control and synchronization of a new hyperchaotic system. The proposed method is a systematic design approach and exists in a recursive procedure that interlaces the choice of a Lyapunov function with the design of the active control. The proposed controller enables stabilization of chaotic motion to the origin as well as synchronization of the two identical new hyperchaotic systems. Numerical simulations illustrate the validity of the proposed control technique.

  • This paper deals with the dynamical analysis of a vessel that leads to capsize in regular beam seas. The complete investigation of nonlinear behaviors includes sub-harmonic motion, bifurcation, and chaos under variations of control parameters. The vessel rolling motions can exhibit various undesirable nonlinear phenomena. We have employed a linear-plus-cubic type damping term (LPCD) in a nonlinear rolling equation. Using the fourth order Runge-Kutta algorithm with the phase portraits, various dynamical behaviors (limit cycles, bifurcations, and chaos) are presented in beam seas. On increasing the value of control parameter ${\Omega}$, chaotic behavior interspersed with intermittent periodic windows are clearly observed in the numerical simulations. The chaotic region is widely spread according to system parameter ${\Omega}$ in the range of 0.1 to 0.9. When the value of the control parameter is increased beyond the chaotic region, periodic solutions are dominant in the range of frequency ratio ${\Omega}=1.01{\sim}1.6$. In addition, one more important feature is that different types of stable harmonic motions such as periodicity of 2T, 3T, 4T and 5T exist in the range of ${\Omega}=0.34{\sim}0.83$.

  • In this paper, a backstepping design is proposed to achieve stabilization and synchronization for the Lorenz-Stenflo (LS) chaotic system. The proposed method is a recursive Lyapunov-based scheme and provides a systematic procedure to design stabilizing controllers. The proposed controller enables stabilization of the chaotic motion and synchronization of two identical LS chaotic systems using only a single control input. Numerical simulations are presented to validate the proposed method.

  • In chaos control proposed until today, the target system is known in many cases. However, since the generating mechanism of chaos is not strange in few case, it is required to control only by the time series data observed from the system. Then, as the method of stabilizing the state of the unknown system, we propose the technique made combining PFC and DFC using a parameter which indicates the balance of both methods. The prediction values at the PFC input portion are determined from the known output using RNN. The input is impressed only near UPO calculated from the output using the concept of UPR.

  • This paper investigates the dynamics and stability of steady states in a continuous and discrete-time single-mode laser system. By using an explicit criteria we explored the Neimark-Sacker bifurcation of the single mode continuous and discrete-time laser model at its positive equilibrium points. Moreover, we discussed the parametric conditions for the existence of period-doubling bifurcations at their positive steady states for the discrete time system. Both types of bifurcations are verified by the Lyapunov exponents, while the maximum Lyapunov ensures chaotic and complex behaviour. Furthermore, in a three-dimensional discrete-time laser model, we used a hybrid control method to control period-doubling and Neimark-Sacker bifurcation. To validate our theoretical discussion, we provide some numerical simulations.
