We investigated the structural, electrical and optical characteristics of IGZO thin films deposited by a room-temperature RF reactive magnetron sputtering. The thin films deposited were annealed for 2 hours at various temperatures of 300, 400, 500 and $600^{\circ}C$ and analyzed by using X-ray diffractometer, transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscope and Hall effects measurement system. The films annealed at $600^{\circ}C$ were found to be crystallized and their surface roughness was decreased from 0.73 nm to 0.67 nm. According to XPS measurements, concentration of oxygen vacancies were decreased at $600^{\circ}C$. Optical band gap were increased to 3.31eV. The carrier concentration and Hall mobility were sharply increased at 600oC. Our results indicate that the IGZO films deposited at a room temperature can show better thin film properties through a heat treatment.

Boron doped CdS films were prepared by chemical bath deposition using boric acid$(H_3BO_3)$ as donor dopant source, and their electrical, optical properties were investigated as a function of doping concentration. In addition, effects of boron doping of CdS films on characteristics of CdS/CdTe solar cells were investigated. Boron doping highly decreased the resistivity and slightly increased optical band gap of CdS films. The lowest value of resistivity was $2 \Omega-cm \;at\; H_3BO_3/Cd(Ac)_2$ molar ratio of 0.1. For the molar ratio more than 0.1, however, the resistivity increased because of decreasing carrier concentration and mobility and showed similar value for undoped films. The photovoltaic characteristics of CdS/CdTe solar cells with boron doped CdS film improved due to the decrease of the conduction band-Fermi level energy gap of CdS films and the series resistance of solar cell.
Sb-doped $SnO_2$ (ATO) transparent conducting films are fabricated using horizontal ultrasonic spray pyrolysis deposition (HUSPD) to form uniform and compact film structures with homogeneously supplied precursor solution. To optimize the molar concentration and transparent conducting performance of the ATO films using HUSPD, we use precursor solutions of 0.15, 0.20, 0.25, and 0.30 M. As the molar concentration increases, the resultant ATO films exhibit more compact surface structures because of the larger crystallite sizes and higher ATO crystallinity because of the greater thickness from the accelerated growth of ATO. Thus, the ATO films prepared at 0.25 M have the best transparent conducting performance ($12.60{\pm}0.21{\Omega}/{\square}$ sheet resistance and 80.83% optical transmittance) and the highest figure-of-merit value ($9.44{\pm}0.17{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}^{-1}$). The improvement in transparent conducting performance is attributed to the enhanced carrier concentration by the improved ATO crystallinity and Hall mobility with the compact surface structure and preferred (211) orientation, ascribed to the accelerated growth of ATO at the optimized molar concentration. Therefore, ATO films fabricated using HUSPD are transparent conducting film candidates for optoelectronic devices.
The effects of fast neutron irradiation on the electrical and optical properties of Li (3 at%) doped ZnSnO (ZTO) thin films fabricated using a sol-gel process are investigated. From the results of Li-ZTO TFT characteristics according to change of neutron irradiation time, the saturation mobility is found to increase and threshold voltage values shift to a negative direction from 1,000 s neutron irradiation time. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis of the O 1s core level shows that the relative area of oxygen vacancies is almost unchanged with different irradiation times. From the results of band alignment, it is confirmed that, due to the increase of electron carrier concentration, the Fermi level (EF) of the sample irradiated for 1,000 s is located at the position closest to the conduction band minimum. The increase in electron concentration is considered by looking at the shallow band edge state under the conduction band edge formed by fast neutron irradiation of more than 1,000 s.

In this work, we deposited Al2O3doped ZnO (AZO) thin films by direct current (DC) magnetron sputtering method with a $40^{\circ}$ tilted target, for application in the front layer of thin film solar cell. Wet chemical etching behavior of AZO films was also investigated. In order to optimize textured AZO films, oxalic acid ($C_2H_2O_4$)has been used as wet etchant of AZO film. In this experiment we used 0.001% concentration of oxalic acid various etching time, that showed an anisotropy in etching texture of AZO films. Electrical resistivity, Hall mobility and carrier concentration measurements are performed by using the Hall measurement, that are $6{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}cm$, $20{\sim}25cm^2/V-s$ and $4{\sim}6{\times}10^{20}$, respectively.
In this paper, ZnO:Al thin films with c-axis preferred orientation were prepared on Soda lime glass substrates by RF magnetron sputtering technique. AZO thin film were prepared in order to clarify optimum conditions for growth of the thin film depending upon process, and then by changing a number of deposition conditions and substrate temperature conditions variously, structural and electrical characteristics were measured. For the manufacture of the AZO were vapor-deposited in the named order. It is well-known that post-annealing is an important method to improve crystal quality. For the annealing process, the dislocation nd other defects arise in the material and adsorption/decomposition occurs. The XRD patterns of the AZO films deposited with grey theory prediction design, annealed in a vacuum ambient($2.0{\times}10-3$Torr)at temperatures of 200, 300, 400 and $500^{\circ}C$ for a period of 30min. The diffraction patterns of all the films show the AZO films had a hexagonal wurtzite structure with a preferential orientation along the c-axis perpendicular to the substrate surface. As can be seen, the (002)peak intensities of the AZO films became more intense and sharper when the annealing temperature increased. On the other hand, When the annealing temperature was $500^{\circ}C$ the peak intensity decreased. The surface morphologies and surface toughness of films were examined by atomic force microscopy(AFM, XE-100, PSIA). Electrical resistivity, Gall mobility and carrier concentration were measured by Hall effect measuring system (HL5500PC, Accent optical Technology, USA). The optical absorption spectra of films in the ultraviolet-visibleinfrared( UV-Vis-IR) region were recorder by the UV spectrophotometer(U-3501, Hitachi, Japan). The resistivity, carrier concentration, and Hall mobility of ZnS deposited on glass substrate as a function of post-annealing.

The temperature dependences of the Hall coefficient, carrier mobility, electrical resistivity, Seebeck coefficient, thermal conductivity, and figure-of-merit of the undoped and $CdI_2$-doped 90% $Bi_2Te_3-10% Bi_2Se_3$, single crystals, grown by the Bridgman method, have been characterized at temperatures ranging from 77K to 600K. The saturated carrier concentration and degenerate temperature of the undoped 90% $Bi_2Te_3-10% Bi_2Se_3$ single crystal are $5.85\times10_{18}cm^{-3}$ and 127K, respectively. The scattering parameter of the 90% $Bi_2Te_3-10% Bi_2Se_3$ single crystal is determined to b -0.23, and the electron mobility to hole mobility ratio ($\mu_e/\mu_h)$ is 1.45. The bandgap energy at 0K of the 90% <$Bi_2Te_3-10% Bi_2Se_3$ single crystal is 0.200 eV. Adding $CdI_2$as a donor dopant, a maximum figure-of-merit of $3.2\times10^{-3}/K$$CdI_2$-doped specimen.

In this study, Indium-Titanium hydroxide particle with 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 wt% of $TiO_2$ were synthesized by sol process and adding the base, ITiO(Indium Titanium Oxide) particles were obtained by gelling at $200^{\circ}C$ and $500^{\circ}C$. The ITiO particle's size with gel process at $200^{\circ}C$ was smaller than ITiO particle's size with gel process $500^{\circ}C$. The ITiO particle with gel process at $200^{\circ}C$ was used to fabricate dense ITiO target. ITiO targets with 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 wt% of $TiO_2$ were fabricated and used to obtain ITiO thin films onto glass by sputtering. Among those sputtered ITiOs' thin films, ITiO thin film with 0.4 % of $O_2$ and 0.5 wt% of $TiO_2$ showed the lowest specific resistance, highest charge mobility and lowest carrier concentration. It was found the light transmittance of the ITiO film were increased highly compared to light transmittance of ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) thin film over Infrared wavelength ranges.

As the demand for p-type semiconductors increases, much effort is being put into developing new p-type materials. This demand has led to the development of novel new p-type semiconductors that go beyond existing p-type semiconductors. Copper iodide (CuI) has recently received much attention due to its wide band gap, excellent optical and electrical properties, and low temperature synthesis. However, there are limits to its use as a semiconductor material for thin film transistor devices due to the uncontrolled generation of copper vacancies and excessive hole doping. In this work, p-type CuI semiconductors were fabricated using the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process for thin-film transistor (TFT) applications. The vacuum process has advantages over conventional solution processes, including conformal coating, large area uniformity, easy thickness control and so on. CuI thin films were fabricated at various deposition temperatures from 150 to 250 ℃ The surface roughness root mean square (RMS) value, which is related to carrier transport, decreases with increasing deposition temperature. Hall effect measurements showed that all fabricated CuI films had p-type behavior and that the Hall mobility decreased with increasing deposition temperature. The CuI TFTs showed no clear on/off because of the high concentration of carriers. By adopting a Zn capping layer, carrier concentrations decreased, leading to clear on and off behavior. Finally, stability tests of the PBS and NBS showed a threshold voltage shift within ±1 V.

We have investigated the effect of ambient gases on the structural, electrical, and optical characteristics of ITO thin films intended for use as anode contacts in OLED (organic light emitting diodes) devices. These ITO thin films are deposited by radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering under different ambient gases (Ar, Ar+$O_2$, and Ar+$H_2$) at $300{^{\circ}C}$. In order to investigate the influences of the oxygen and hydrogen, the flow rate of oxygen and hydrogen in argon mixing gas has been changed from 0.5 sccm to 5 sccm and from 0.01 sccm to 0.25 sccm, respectively. The intensity of the (400) peak in the ITO thin films increased with increasing $O_2$, flow rate whilst the (400) peak was nearly invisible in an atmosphere of Ar+$H_2$. The electrical resistivity of the ITO thin films increased with increasing $O_2$ flow rate, whereas the electrical resistivity decreased sharply under an Ar+$H_2$ atmosphere and was nearly similar regardless of the $H_2$ flow rate. The change of electrical resistivity with changes in the ambient gas composition was mainly interpreted in terms of the charge carrier mobility rather than the charge carrier concentration. All the films showed an average transmittance of over 80% in the visible range. The OLED device was fabricated with different ITO substrates made with the configuration of ITO/$\alpha$-NPD/DPVB/$Alq_3$/LiF/Al in order to elucidate the performance of the ITO substrate. Current density and luminance of OLED devices with ITO thin films deposited in Ar+$H_2$ ambient gas is the highest among all the ITO thin films.
