Due to the dramatic improvement of Internet technologies and digital content authoring, many independent media creators produce various digital items and share them with others. In this situation, the independent media platforms must support the well-defined usage rights(licenses) specification, usage monitoring, and license trading trace for enabling complex types for selling, buying, using and reproducing digital items created by independent media creators. In this paper, we design an extended policy model based on the ODRL policy class model and implement a user interface prototype to specify multi types of usage rights like use, own, share, and cede. Our proposed model can be referenced to create license management modules of the independent media platforms.
With the deployment of 5G infrastructure, content delivery network (CDN) will be a key role to provide explosive growing services for the independent media and YouTube which contain high-speed mobile contents. Without a local cache, the mobile backhaul and fronthaul should endure huge burden of bandwidth request for users as the increase number of direct accesses from contents providers. To deal with this issue, this paper fist presents both fronthaul solutions for CDN that use dark fibers and a passive optical network (PON). On top of that, we propose the aggregated content request specialized for PON caching and evaluate and compare its performance to legacy schemes through the simulation. The proposed PON caching scheme can reduce average access time of up to 0.5 seconds, 1/n received request packets, and save 60% of backhaul bandwidth compared to the no caching scheme. This work can be a useful reference for service providers and will be extended to further improve the hit ratio of cache in the future.
Due to the unique sourness and sweet taste of Aronia, it is necessary to develop it for processing rather than raw. The antioxidant activity and cytotoxin about the aronia powder fermentation extract using lactobacillus are verified. In the case of total polyphenol content, the content of non-fermented extract was 32.15 ㎍/mg fermentation extract, 43.08 ㎍/mg after fermentation, and the flavonoid content was 0.47 ㎍/mg in non-fermented extract and 0.44 ㎍/mg in fermented extract, which was similar to that of non-fermented extract. In the DPPH radical inhibition assay, 77.5% of the non-fermented extract and 89.1% of the fermented extract showed better activity than the non-fermented extract. Nitric oxide (NO) measurement showed a concentration-dependent inhibitory effect. From the above results, it was confirmed that the fermentation of Aronia powder could be utilized based on some antioxidant activities and the possibility of using it as a vegetable extract and fermented cosmetic material in the future.
The Government provides a financial assistance to stimulate firm R&D and innovation activities. Previous papers on the impact of public subsidies on firm R&D investments mainly had a focus on an individual policy tool regardless of potential impacts of other policy instruments. This study addresses this gap by examining the effects of policy mix regarding a subsidy and a tax credit. The empirical analyses from fixed effect model using Survey on Technology of SMEs 2015-2017 revealed valuable points. First, policy mix induces more R&D investment of SMEs, which in turn, shows a complementary relationship between two instruments. Second, even if impact of tax credit controlled, subsidy is positively associated with SMEs R&D investment. These findings justify policy mix interventions to promote SME R&D activity. Moreover, grants can be applied as a more useful policy tool for SMEs that are constrained by resources and capabilities.
In the near future, as artificial intelligence and computing network technology develop, collaboration with artificial intelligence (AI) will become important. In an AI society, the ability to communicate and collaborate among people is an important element of talent. To do this, it is necessary to understand how artificial intelligence based on computer science works. An algorithmic education focused on problem solving and learning is efficient for computer science education. In this study, the results of an assessment of computational thinking at the beginning of the semester, a satisfaction survey at the end of the semester, and academic performance were compared and analyzed for 28 students who received algorithmic education focused on problem-solving learning. As a result of diagnosing students' computational thinking and problem-solving learning, teaching methods, lecture satisfaction, and other environmental factors, a correlation was found, and regression analysis confirmed that problem-solving learning had an effect on improving lecture satisfaction and computational thinking ability. For algorithmic education, if you pursue a problem-solving learning technique and a way to improve students' satisfaction, it will help students improve their problem-solving skills.
User-authentication process is necessary in Fintech Service. Especially, authentication on smartphones are carried out through PIN which is inputted through virtual keypads on touch screen. Attacker can analogize password by watching touched letter and position over the shoulder or using high definition cameras. To prevent password spill, various research of virtual keypad techniques are ongoing. It is hard to design secure keypad which assures safety by fluctuative keypad and enhance convenience at once. Also, to reconfirm user whether password is wrongly pressed, the inputted information is shown on screen. This makes the password easily exposed through high definition cameras or Google Class during recording. This research analyzed QWERTY based secure keypad's merits and demerits. And through these features, creating Tetris shaped keypad and piece them together on Android environment, and showing inputted words as Tetris shape to users through smart-screen is suggested for the ways to prevent password spill by recording.
Sharing economy which is sharing and borrowing goods, space, and services as a social and economic activity based on the Internet and smart phones is a new research topic in convergence area. The most representative areas of shared economy are space sharing and vehicle sharing. This paper aims to explore the factors affecting sharing intention of vehicle. We have identified the independent variables which include economic benefit, social benefit, social influence, psychological benefit and perceived risk. We also have done how these variables affect on sharing intention. Unlike Korea, in China vehicle sharing is legally allowed and has a large scale economy. To prove the hypothesis, we performed questionnaire investigation in China and analyzed with SPSS program. The result of hypothesis is the followings: The economic benefit, psychological benefit, social influence and perceived risk are affects sharing intention, and social benefit is not affect sharing intention and sharing intention is affect sharing behavior.
Due to the development of IT technology, harmful multimedia contents are spreading out. In addition, obscene and violent contents have a negative impact on children. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a multimodal approach for blocking obscene and violent video contents. Within this approach, there are two modules each detects obsceneness and violence. In the obsceneness module, there is a model that detects obsceneness based on adult and racy score. In the violence module, there are two models for detecting violence: one is the blood detection model using RGB region and the other is motion extraction model for observation that violent actions have larger magnitude and direction change. Through result of these three models, this approach judges whether or not the content is harmful. This can contribute to the blocking obscene and violent contents that are distributed indiscriminately.
Information System is influenced by the innovation of new IT. Therefore, IS should response to external environment's changes quickly. Particularly, resilience should be considered in barriers of IS. This study suggests a new information system evaluation model in which resilience is added to the existing factors of Delone and Mclean. Then the effect of resilience is evaluated through the DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) based on a survey targeting 115 users of a mid-sized manufacturing company. The results show that the effect of resilience is stronger than any other factors in the previous researches. We, thus, suggest that the resilience should be included as an evaluation factor of the ISO27001 information security standard in order to enhance the absorptive capacity of the information system.

Multiprocessor system on chip (MPSoC) platform has set a new innovative trend for the System on Chip (SoC) design. With the rapidly approaching billion transistors era, some of the main problem in deep sub-micron technologies characterized by gate lengths in the range of 60-90 nm will arise from non scalable wire delays, errors in signal integrity and un-synchronized communication. These problems may be addressed by the use of Network on Chip (NOC) architecture for future SoC. Most future SoCs will use network architecture and a packet based communication protocol for on chip communication. This paper presents an adaptive wormhole routing with proactive turn prohibition to guarantee deadlock free on chip communication for NOC architecture. It shows a simple muting architecture with five full-duplex, flit-wide communication channels. We provide simulation results for message latency and compare results with those of dimension ordered techniques operating at the same link rates.
