The objective of this study is to provide the basic data for the development of educational programs for the prevention of infectious diseases targeting the elderly by researching the degree of personal hygiene practice, perceived risk of infection, and knowledge and importance of infectious diseases for the prevention of infectious diseases of the elderly. Using the structured questionnaire for a month of October in 2021, this study surveyed total 110 elderly people in their 65 or up by using the one-to-one individual interview method through the Gallup Korea. The collected data was analyzed by using the IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 Program. In the results of analyzing the ranking by converting it into Borich's needs formula and then totaling up the degree of importance and knowledge, it was researched as the 1^st place for the transmission path of infectious diseases, the 2^nd place for the preventive method of infectious diseases, the 3^rd place for the treatment method of infectious diseases, the 4^th place for the handling procedure in case an infectious disease was doubted and confirmed, and the 5^th place for the major symptoms of infectious diseases. The results of this study could contribute to the improvement of infection preventive practice through the provision of proper information to subjects, by providing the basic data for the development of educational programs for the elderly reflecting the needs of prevention and management of infectious diseases.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the general education contents for undergraduate students at engineering related departments through need analysis in order to develop creative and integral talents. For this study, the need analysis was conducted by using focus group interviews, Borich's educational need equation and the Locus for Focus Model, and highly ranked priorities on both methods proposed as the highest priorities. As a result, 'drawing up a letter of self-introduction and a portfolio', 'understanding fields', 'understanding careers related to the major', 'presentation skills', 'knowledge for certificated exams', 'method to deduct creative ideas' were high on the list of top five priorities. The selected items by Locus for Focus Model show that undergraduate students at engineering related departments need general education contents associated with career development and communication by priority.

IS-Geo (International School for Geoscience Resources) was established with a purpose of developing domestic and international human resources within the field of geological resources, andit has been achieving its training goals well since its inception. This study conducted training needs analysis and training performance assessment to assure the objectivity of the performance outcome of IS-Geo. For the training needs analysis, Borich's equation and Locus for Focus method were used. A survey was utilized for the training performance assessment to analyze the satisfaction and the transfer of training based on gender, age, education, and attendance of the trainees. The results of this study showed that training needs of training course in the fields of geology, mineral resources, petroleum and marine, and geologic environment have been deducted, and the urgent need of training course development has been determined by locus for focus. As a result of performance assessment of training course, the fields of mineral resources and geologic environment's course showed a higher satisfaction with the learning achievement than the course of geology fields.

This study is aimed to analyze the cognitive level of basic job skill for students, graduates, and teachers in a specialized high school, as well as for workers in a company, and to suggest an optimal educational curriculum by deciding the priority of the basic job skill in education in the field of mechanic, electric electronic semiconductor, and architecture civil engineering construction. This research was undertaken with the use of various statistic skills, the Borich method, and the locus for focus model. Also, this research shall be valued in synthetic understandings for curriculum revising. The educational priority which shall be applied to the mechanic, electric electronic semiconductor, and architecture civil engineering construction at specialized high school was analyzed, and according to this, a new curriculum was suggested. For mechanic, it put its educational priority on Expressing oneself, Problem solving, Self-development, Career development, Managing time, Negotiation, and Understanding technology. For electric electronic semiconductor, its focus was on Managing time, and for architecture civil engineering construction, they emphasized Problem solving, Self-development, Career development, Managing time, and Conflict management.

Objective : The aim of this study was to determine the priority competency by analyzing the importance, performance, and educational requirements of occupational therapists to develop a competency in performing sensory integration intervention. Methods : Occupational therapists were surveyed by gender, age, educational background, work location, occupational therapy experience, and sensory integration therapy experience. The difference was investigated through the importance-performance analysis of competency, and the priority of the competency was investigated using the Borich demand analysis method. Results : The therapists recognized professional competency as the most important, whereas performance was the least important. In all sub-competencies, the importance was high, but the performance was low. As a result, the education requirement was highest for professional competency. The importance-performance analysis revealed that professional competency was the area requiring the most urgent improvement. As a result of the Borich demand analysis, statistically significant differences between the importance of all competencies and the actual performance. The most significant difference was found in the professional competency group. Conclusion : The occupational therapists in this study who performed sensory integration interventions recognized professional competency as the most important but most lacking in actual clinical practice. The results of this study will be used as guidelines for developing competency-based sensory integrated intervention curricula.

The final goal of this study is to develop the in-service program of engineering education for professors of engineering college. In this study, survey research method using questionnaire was used to engineering professors of universities and junior colleges. The study contents were analysis of in-service status and educational needs for professors of engineering college. Statistical package SPSS for windows, korean edition version 10.0, was used for analysing data. To do it, 97 questionnaire were used finally. Educational needs was divided into engineering teaching method, engineering evaluation method, and engineering basic competancy. Equation suggested by Borich was induced to calculate the educational needs. Results were that educational needs of engineering teaching method and engineering basic competency were high, respectively, but, educational needs of engineering evaluation method was low. It was known that we need to consider the results during in-service program development.

The objectives of this study were (1) to determine the rank of purposes of Korean secondary school home economics education related to three systems of action: technical, communicative, and emancipatory action by home economics(HE) teachers and HE teacher educators, (2) to compare differences between HE teachers and HE teacher educators concerning the degree of importance and achievement of the purposes of current Korean secondary school HE education. Respondents in this study were 225 HE teachers and 35 HE teacher educators. The survey method was used in this descriptive study. To determine the rank, Borich's needs assessment model was used. The data were analyzed by using t-test to compare the differences between the two groups. To promote a good life and the full development of human beings, to develop creative and critical thinking, to make morally defensible judgments, and to develop self-esteem were needed purposes for Korean secondary school HE education. Overall, the most high ranked purpose needs for both groups related to emancipatory action. The two groups were significantly different on the degree of the importance of evaluating family and social conditions, acquiring the skills needed as a wage earner and a homemaker, developing creative and critical thinking, and demonstrating proficiency of homemaking work. The teachers and teacher educator groups were significantly different on the degree of the achievement of making morally defensible judgments, understanding Korean traditional culture, and taking care of each other.

This study is aimed to identify environmental management expert's competencies, to analyze educational need, and to improve curriculum of Global Environmental Management major of 'Seoul National University'. Environmental experts are divided into three groups through 'the right people' of the Global Environmental Management major: environmental management businessman, environmental management policy maker, environmental management international cooperator. This study selected three high-performers of each categories through recommendation and made them build a competency model for what the high-performer's behavioral characteristics is. And the educational needs analysis was carried out by practitioners in environmental management field. This study ordered the priority of educational needed competencies by method of Borich's proposal. The high priority of competencies that should be educated preferentially are as follows: responding to environmental policy, analyzing domestic & foreign environmental policy and design international environmental cooperation project. To be secure the consistency with the field need and university curriculum, it is needed to find various interventions in environmental management education and to improve curricula focused on specific competencies.

This study develops a business ethics education program and verifies its effects through the implementation of a program for fashion companies. Questionnaires obtained from 161 fashion companies were submitted for an analysis of the education needs of business ethics components using the Borich's Needs Assessments Model and the Locus for Focus model. The business ethics component in the highest rank of the education need was 'promoting social contribution (PSC)'. An education program of PSC was developed based on the problem-based learning method and was implemented for 180 minutes on the CEOs or managerial board members of eleven fashion companies. Education participants showed an improvement in the perceptions of the business ethics component after the education seminar. The self-efficacy and the education effect perceived by participants were maintained 70 days after education. This study is meaningful to gain an empirical evidence of the positive effect of business ethics education implemented on the practitioners of fashion companies. The results will provide a knowledge base and a guideline for business ethics education in the fashion industry.

The purpose of this study was to develop a competency model and analyze the competency needs for construction manager in D Co., Ltd.. The delphi method of 25 excellent construction managers working in D Co., Ltd. was used to develop a competency model. The results showed that there would be a construction manager competency model which consisted of 3 competency clusters, 11 competencies, and 60 key actions. Then the survey of 114 construction managers working in D Co., Ltd. was conducted to examine concurrent construct validity of the competency model for construction manager and to analyze construction managers' competency needs by using the Borich's formula and the Locus for Focus Model(LfFM). The results showed that construction managers perceived 'communication', 'risk management', 'goal orientation', 'customer orientation', and 'project management' as top five priorities of competencies for construction managers. Based upon the above results, some implications were suggested for developing construction managers' competencies and improving their performance.
