The purpose of this study was a convergence study to find a way to shorten pre-hospital emergency medical response time in vehicle accident. This study analyzed the factors of hospital emergency response time by utilizing weather, road type, accident type, and rescue response to 353 vehicle passengers who visited the three emergency medical centers from January 1, 2011 to July 30, 2016 in Korea In-Depth Accident Study. The results of the study showed that the highway used the most time to prehospital emergency medical response time and was a factor affecting the overall time (${\beta}=.543$, p<.001). In order to shorten the emergency medical response time in highway, the operation of emergency services on the highway, the active use of emergency turn road and the automatic emergency rescue service with individual devices were proposed.
Purpose: The purpose of this convergence study is to examine the factors influencing disease related knowledge in patients with congestive heart failure. Methods: A descriptive regression design was used and the participants were 100 patients with heart failure from one general hospital in 2015. Data analysis included .multiple regression. Results: The average scores were $9.59{\pm}1.77$ for disease related knowledge. The significant factors affecting disease related knowledge were severity(${\beta}=.32$, p<.001), duration of disease diagnosis(year) (${\beta}=.30$, p=.003). The regression model explained approximately 17.3 % of disease related knowledge. Conclusion: The findings recommend that nurses have to improve health related knowledge of patients with congestive heart failure by considering severity and duration of disease diagnosis.
The purpose of this study was to identify the influencing factors on smartphone overdependence by examining the relationships between smartphone overdependence, self-determination, depression, self-esteem, and impulsivity in male and female college students. The self-reported questionnaires were administered to 263 students from two colleges. As results of multiple regression analysis, the factors affecting smartphone overdependence in male students were the perception of smartphone importance (${\beta}=.411$, p<.001), impulsivity (${\beta}=.204$, p=.007), and depression (${\beta}=.200$, p=.040). In female students, influencing factors were the perception of smartphone importance (${\beta}=.630$, p<.001) and impulsivity (${\beta}=.185$, p=.010). Based on the findings, a tailored smartphone overdependence prevention program is needed by controlling impulsivity and changing distorted perceptions of smartphone.

This study was to investigate the effects of workers' attitudes to internet health information(AIHI), e-health literacy(eHL) on internet health information seeking behavior(IHISB) and health-related behavioral intention(HBI). 152 workers conducted the structured questionnaires from May to July 2017. Data analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. Factors affecting IHISB were identified to be eHL (${\beta}=.33$, p<.011), and perceived usefulness for internet health information(PU)(${\beta}=.28$, p=.002), and factors affecting HBI were identified to be PU(${\beta}=.33$, p=.001), information utilization(IU)(${\beta}=.24$, p=.003), and eHL(${\beta}=.18$, p=.002). As above results, considering the eHL of workers, it is necessary to build an internet health information system and develop education program that increase IU.
Saussurea lappa is known for a variety of physiological activities as a component but has not known to show the effect of the cellular signaling pathway. We investigated the anti-inflammatory effects by Saussurea lappa ethanol extract on the LPS(lipopolysaccharide) induced nitric oxide (NO) production by RAW 264.7 cell line. It shows the expressions of iNOS and COX-2 at the transcriptional level (RT-PCR). The Saussurea lappa ethanol extract showed transcriptional expression levels of pro-inflammatory cytokine TNF- and IL-$1{\beta}$ induced by LPS(lipolysaccharide) in RAW264.7 cell line. Saussurea lappa ethanol extract reduced the LPS-induced expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) at the RNA levels in a concentration-dependent manner. The finding that ethanol extract of Saussurea lappa has an influence on NO (nitric oxide) homeostasis in the study of the action mechanism on the macrophage-mediated inflammatory reaction was considered in terms of convergence. And it is to provide an important basis for the prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases in the future.
This study aimed to identify the factors affecting the nursing performance and the convergence relationships of leisure satisfaction, job stress, and nursing performance among nurses. Participants included 150 nurses working at 2 hospitals in C city from August 3 to September 15, 2018. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA with Scheffe's test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression by SPSS 23.0 program. Nursing performance were significantly differences in age (F=4.78, p=.003), marital status (F=2.74, p=.007), length of clinical career (F=3.34, p=.012), and health condition (F=5.23, p=.002). Nursing performance was a positively correlated with leisure satisfaction (r=.32, p<.001) and a negatively correlated with job stress (r=-19, p=.020), and job stress was a negatively correlated with leisure satisfaction (r=-.32, p=.005). The factors affecting the nursing performance of clinical nurses were age (${\beta}=.20$, p=.008) and leisure satisfaction (${\beta}=.28$, p<.001), and these variables explained about 19.6% of the variance in nursing performance. In order to improve nursing performance, it is necessary to provide working environment and institutional support for increasing leisure satisfaction and reducing job stress and age-differentiated approaches.
The present study explored factors that influence consumers' benefit expectancy about telemedicine service. Responses from a national online survey of 927 adults (aged 19-59), collected in January 2016, were analyzed with multiple regression analysis. The results revealed: (1) Health consciousness positively influenced all three benefit expectancies (all ps < .05); (2) Doctor-patient communication efficacy positively influenced expectancy for convenience improvement (${\beta}=.107$, p < .01) and service quality improvement (${\beta}=.086$, p < .05); (3) Use of health-related smart applications contributed to positive expectancy for service quality improvement (${\beta}=.081$, p < .05) and cost-saving (${\beta}=.067$, p < .05). Some of the relationships were moderated by gender and residence. This convergence study, which examined public's perception about telemedicine from the perspectives of consumer psychology, media, and public health, provides practical implications to promote telemedicine service and educate consumers about it.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among bullying, ego-resilience, perceived stress and adaptation on college in nursing students. A total of 212 students from 1-4 grade in one nursing college were recruited into the study. The data were collected using questionnaire about bullying, ego-resilience, perceived stress and adaptation and were analyzed with PASW Statistics 18.0 program. Bullying and perceived stress had a significant negative association with nursing college adaptation(r=-.261, p<.001; r=-.261, p<.001) and nursing college adaptation was positively correlated with ego-resilience(r=.337, p<.001). The significant predictors of nursing college adaptation were grade(${\beta}$=-.216, p=.003), satisfaction with major(${\beta}$=-.245, p<.001), the latest semester grade(${\beta}$=.210, p=.028) and ego-resilience (${\beta}$=.324, p<.001), explaining 29.1% of the variance in nursing college adaptation(F=9.691, p<.001). According to the results, ego-resilience could be a key factor to improve college adaptation and bullying and perceived stress were associated with adaptation. Therefore many trials have to be need for enhancing college adaptation in a multiple and convergent way and it is suggested that the program to strengthen college adaptation should be developed.

Longevity in medicine can be defined as a long life without mental or physical deficits. This can be prevented by Alzheimer's disease (AD). Current conventional AD treatments only alleviate the symptoms without reversing AD progression. Recent studies demonstrated that Panax ginseng extract improves AD symptoms in patients with AD, and the two main components of ginseng might contribute to AD amelioration. Ginsenosides show various AD-related neuroprotective effects. Gintonin is a newly identified ginseng constituent that contains lysophosphatidic acids and attenuates AD-related brain neuropathies. Ginsenosides decrease amyloid ${\beta}$-protein ($A{\beta}$) formation by inhibiting ${\beta}$- and ${\gamma}$-secretase activity or by activating the nonamyloidogenic pathway, inhibit acetylcholinesterase activity and $A{\beta}$-induced neurotoxicity, and decrease $A{\beta}$-induced production of reactive oxygen species and neuro-inflammatory reactions. Oral administration of ginsenosides increases the expression levels of enzymes involved in acetylcholine synthesis in the brain and alleviates $A{\beta}$-induced cholinergic deficits in AD models. Similarly, gintonin inhibits $A{\beta}$-induced neurotoxicity and activates the nonamyloidogenic pathway to reduce $A{\beta}$ formation and to increase acetylcholine and choline acetyltransferase expression in the brain through lysophosphatidic acid receptors. Oral administration of gintonin attenuates brain amyloid plaque deposits, boosting hippocampal cholinergic systems and neurogenesis, thereby ameliorating learning and memory impairments. It also improves cognitive functions in patients with AD. Ginsenosides and gintonin attenuate AD-related neuropathology through multiple routes. This review focuses research demonstrating that ginseng constituents could be a candidate as an adjuvant for AD treatment. However, clinical investigations including efficacy and tolerability analyses may be necessary for the clinical acceptance of ginseng components in combination with conventional AD drugs.
The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of stress, social support, and self-esteem on depression in female students. A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 249 females students from November to December 2015. The study instruments comprised stress, social support, self-esteem, and depression. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchial multiple linear regression using SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Depression was closely related to school year(F=7.03, p<.001), health status(F=15.19, p<.001), major satisfaction(F=18.02, p<.001), and student activity(t=1.98, p=.049). The significant factors influencing depression were stress(${\beta}=.45$, p<.001), self-esteem(${\beta}=-.34$, p<.001), social support(${\beta}=-.14$, p=.004), major satisfaction(${\beta}=-.11$, p=.018). To decrease depression, it is necessary to develop a program coping with stress and increasing the self-esteem and social support. Thus, it will be able to enhance the mental health of female students.
