Interfacial Properties of Atomic Layer Deposited Al2O3/AlN Bilayer on GaN

  • An $Al_2O_3/AlN$ bilayer deposited on GaN by atomic layer deposition (ALD) is employed to prepare $Al_2O_3/AlN/GaN$ metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) diodes, and their interfacial properties are investigated using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) with sputter etch treatment and current-voltage (I-V) measurements. XPS analyses reveal that the native oxides on the GaN surface are reduced significantly during the early ALD stage, indicating that AlN deposition effectively clelans up the GaN surface. In addition, the suppression of Al-OH bonds is observed through the ALD process. This result may be related to the improved device performance because Al-OH bonds act as interface defects. Finally, temperature dependent I-V analyses show that the barrier height increases and the ideality factor decreases with an increase in temperature, which is associated with the barrier inhomogeneity. A Modified Richardson plot produces the Richardson constant of $A^{**}$ as $30.45Acm^{-2}K^{-2}$, which is similar to the theoretical value of $26.4Acm^{-2}K^{-2}$ for n-GaN. This indicates that the barrier inhomogeneity appropriately explains the forward current transport across the $Au/Al_2O_3/AlN/GaN$ interface.

  • 본 연구는 부산항 신항을 이용하는 고객을 대상으로 항만 서비스품질 차원(항만 내적 서비스 품질, 항만 외적 서비스품질, 항만 상호작용품질), 신뢰, 만족 및 충성도 간에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위해 기존 연구에 근거하여 모델을 제안하였다. 특히 만족과 충성도 간의 관계에 전환장벽의 조절효과를 제안하였다. 분석에는 317부를 이용하였고, 측정모델의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 확인요인분석을 실시하였고, 가설을 검증하기 위해 AMOS 통계분석 방법을 이용하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 항만 서비스품질 차원은 항만 고객신뢰와 항만 고객만족에 정의 영향을, 항만 고객만족은 항만 고객신뢰에 정의 영향을, 항만 고객만족과 항만 고객신뢰는 항만 고객충성도에 정의 영향을 미쳤다. 그리고 항만 고객만족과 항만 고객충성도 간의 관계에서 전환장벽은 조절효과를 가졌다. 마지막으로 이러한 조사결과를 바탕으로 시사점과 미래연구방향을 제시하였다.

유가 연계 파생결합증권의 특성에 대한 연구 (A Study on Properties of Crude Oil Based Derivative Linked Security)

  • Purpose - This paper aims to investigate the properties of crude oil based derivative security (DLS) focusing on step-down type for comprehensive understanding of its risk. Design/methodology/approach - Kernel estimation is conducted to figure out statistical feature of the process of oil price. We simulate oil price paths based on kernel estimation results and derive probabilities of hitting the barrier and early redemption. Findings - The amount of issuance for crude oil based DLS is relatively low when base prices are below $40 while it is high when base prices are around $60 or $100, which is not consistent with kernel estimation results showing that oil futures prices tend to revert toward $46.14 and the mean-reverting speed is faster as oil price is lower. The analysis based on simulated oil price paths reveals that probability of early redemption is below 50% for DLS with high base prices and the ratio of the probability of early redemption to the probability of hitting barrier is remarkably low compared to the case for DLS with low base prices, as the chance of early redemption is deferred. Research implications or Originality - Empirical results imply that the level of the base price is a crucial factor of the risk for DLS, thus introducing a time-varying knock-in barrier, which is similar to adjust the base price, merits consideration to enhance protection for DLS investors.

허혈성 뇌졸중 흰쥐에서 당귀미 열수추출물의 혈관신생인자 발현 조절을 통한 신경세포 보호작용에 대한 연구 (Neuroprotective effect of the water extract of Angelicae Gigantis Radix Palva in ischemic stroke rats)

  • Objective : Angelica Gigas Nakai is a popular oriental medicine used for the treatment of vascular diseases. The aim of this study is to investigate neuroprotective effect of the water extract of Anelicae Gigantis Radix Palva (AG) in transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAO)-induced ischemic rats via the regulation of angiogenesis-related molecules. Methods : Sprague-Dawley rats were intraperitoneally administrated with AG water extract at doses of 10, 25, 50 mg/kg body weight after tMCAO (90 min occlusion). reperfusion for 24 hr infarction volumes were measured by 2,3,5-tetrazolium chloride (TTC) staining. Brain tissues were observed neuronal cell injuries by nissl staining, and also brain-blood barrier (BBB) permeability change by evans blue. Expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), angiopoietin-1 (Ang-1) and Tie-2 receptor protein in brain tissues was determined by western blot. Results : AG water extract significantly reduced infarction volume in ischemic brains of rats, degradation of neuronal cell, BBB permeability and expression of VEGF protein dose-dependently. Ang-1 protein was increased dose-dependantly, not significantly. Conclusion : This study suggests that AG water extract shows neuroprotective effect by preventing BBB breakdown, with regulating angiogenesis factor VEGF and Ang-1.

문턱전압이하 영역에서 이중게이트 MOSFET의 스켈링 이론과 단채널효과의 관계 (Relation of Short Channel Effect and Scaling Theory for Double Gate MOSFET in Subthreshold Region)

  • 본 연구에서는 문턱전압이하 영역에서 이중게이트 MOSFET에서 스켈링 이론이 단채널효과에 미치는 영향을 관찰하였다. 기존 MOSFET의 경우 출력특성을 일정하게 유지하기 위하여 스켈링 이론을 적용하여 전류 및 스위칭 주파수를 해석하였다. 이중게이트 MOSFET에서 단채널효과에 대한 스켈링 이론의 적용 결과를 분석하기 위하여 문턱전압, 드레인유기장벽감소 및 문턱전압이하 스윙 등을 스켈링 인자에 따라 관찰하였다. 이를 위하여 이미 검증된 포아송방정식의 해석학적 전위분포를 이용하였다. 분석결과 단채널효과 중 문턱전압이 스켈링 인자에 가장 큰 영향을 받는다는 것을 관찰하였다. 특히 채널길이에 스켈링 이론을 적용할 때 가중치를 이용한 변형된 스켈링 이론을 적용함으로써 이중게이트 MOSFET에 가장 타당한 스켈링 이론에 대하여 설명하였다.

사례로 본 여성결혼이민자의 가정생활실태와 갈등 (Family Life and conflicts of Female International Marriage Migrant)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine conflicts between female international marriage migrants(FIMMs) and their family members, and living conditions of FIMMs in Korea. The results will be useful in understanding FIMMs' struggles and will help them to develop their adaptive ability to family life. This study analyzed the factors in three dimensions: a Sociodemographic factor, a marriage-related factor and a factor of the migrants' relationship to their family members. All conflicts result from the lack of mutual understanding between the migrants and their family, and the differences between their languages and between their cultures. Of course, FIMMs can not adequately express their feelings and opinions in Korean language. Their loved ones and relatives can not express their feelings in the immigrants' languages, either. It is evident that there are a lot of misunderstandings caused from their language barrier. The public support for the migrants is limited. They live a lonely life and no consideration. Most of them complains that their husbands have no careful concern for their feelings. That seems because most of the Korean husbands have never had education enough to understand their problems in terms of international marriage. A close watch of what can be learned from conflict and complaints of women. However, any sympathy for foreign women's complaints should be evaluated in cultural sides: especially family life education programs for Korean husbands and their family members are required for a good grasp of typical intermarriage issues.

  • 최근 환경에 대한 관심과 규제가 강화되고 있는 가운데, 건설 산업에서도 환경친화형 건축에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 지금까지의 환경친화형 건축에 대한 연구가 건축물의 라이프사이클 상의 자재생산 단계나 유지/보수 등의 사용단계에 집중되어 있어 시공단계에 관한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 특히 실제 공사현장 주변의 정량화할 수 없는 환경 저해요인이 산재해 있으며, 공사현장에서 최소한의 법적 기준 이외의 환경 공해 저감 노력이 미비하며, 친환경 공사에 대한 인식조차 부족한 실정이다. 본 논문은 시공단계에서 다양한 공종별로 발생하는 환경 부하 요인들을 저감하기 위해 관리해야할 요인들의 범주를 설정하고 환경 저해요인들을 공종별로 분석하고, 공사기간의 유동적인 조절을 통해 이들의 배출을 줄이고, 효율적으로 관리하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

호텔인턴쉽 참가자의 스트레스 요인과 사회적(학교)지원이 인턴쉽 만족에 미치는 영향 (Relationship between Internship Satisfaction, Hotel Internship Stress and Social Supports)

  • 본 연구는 호텔인턴쉽 참가자의 스트레스요인과 인턴쉽 만족, 사회적(학교)지원의 중요성을 논하기 위해 일본호텔에서 인턴쉽으로 참가하고 있는 대학생을 대상으로 분석을 하였다. 그 결과, 인턴쉽 스트레스는 인구통계학적인 특성에 따라 스트레스를 받는 집단이 상이하였고, 인턴쉽 만족은 인턴부서에 따라 만족도가 상이하게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 인턴쉽 스트레스 요인은 인턴쉽 만족에 음(-)의 관련성을 나타내는 것으로 분석되었으며, 특히 '직무자체요인' 스트레스가 클 경우 직무만족이 상대적으로 크게 감소하는 것으로 나타나 '직무자체요인'의 스트레가 상대적으로 중요함을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 호텔인턴쉽 참가자에 대한 사회적(학교)지원이 높을수록 그리고 인턴쉽 스트레스가 낮을수록 인턴쉽 만족이 높게 나타나 인턴쉽 만족도를 향상시키기 위해서는 사회적 지원을 증가시키고 인턴쉽 스트레스를 감소시켜야 함을 알 수 있다.

AE-MDB 측면 충돌 시험 시 WorldSID 50%ile dummy 상해치에 대한 제어인자 연구 (The Study on control factor of WorldSID 50%ile dummy injury through AE-MDB side crash test)

  • Over the past ten years, since the introduction of the side crash test regulation in Europe, much research work has been performed internationally to develop new and modified test procedures to improve the level of occupant protection offered by vehicles in side crash test. This research has been co-ordinated and finally contributed to development of an AE-MDB(Advanced European Moving Deformable Barrier) and WorldSID (Worldwide Side Impact Dummy). EuroNCAP(European New Car Assessment Program) has the plan to conduct AE-MDB side crash test using WorldSID from 2015 by replacing Progressive MDB and EuroSID II. Automobile manufacturers need to respond to these changes closely. This paper is to find dominant control factor and analyze it of WorldSID 50%ile dummy injury through AE-MDB side crash test by predicting best and worst condition. And control factors will be validated within EuroNCAP regulations. This paper is analyzed by DFSS(Design for six sigma) which contains 5 control factors and is evaluated by ANOVA with the data as a result of LS-DYNA analysis correlated with crash pulse from 50 kph AE-MDB side crash test using WorldSID 50%ile dummy.

Anti-Inflammatory Effects of Water Chestnut Extract on Cytokine Responses via Nuclear Factor-κB-signaling Pathway

  • Water chestnut (Trapa japonica Flerov.) is an annual aquatic plant. In the present study, we showed that the treatment of water chestnut extracted with boiling water resulted in a significant increase 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical-scavenging activity and decrease the intracellular $H_2O_2$-induced accumulation of reactive oxygen species. In addition, water chestnut extract (WCE) inhibited lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide production and suppressed mRNA and protein expression of the inducible nitric oxide synthase gene. The cytokine array results showed that WCE inhibited inflammatory cytokine secretion. Also, WCE reduced tumor necrosis factor-${\alpha}$- and interleukin-6-induced nuclear factor-${\kappa}B$ activity. Furthermore, during sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)-induced irritation of human skin, WCE reduced SLS-induced skin erythema and improved barrier regeneration. These results indicate that WCE may be a promising topical anti-inflammatory agent.
