  • Let L/F be a finite separable extension of Henselian valued fields with same residue fields $\overline{L} = \overline{F}$. Let D be an inertially split division algebra over L, and let $^cD$ be the underlying division algebra of the corestriction $cor_{L/F} (D)$ of D. We show that the index $ind(^cD) of ^cD$ divides $[Z(\overline{D}) : Z(\overline {^cD})] \cdot ind(D), where Z(\overline{D})$ is the center of the residue division ring $\overline{D}$.

  • In this paper, let Q be the real quaternion algebra which consists of all quaternionic numbers, and let G be the Lie group of all automorphisms of the algebra Q. Assume that g is an arbitrary given left invariant Riemannian metric on the Lie group G. Then, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for an automorphism of the group G to be harmonic.

  • Let K be an algebraic number field. If k is the maximal cyclotomic subextension in K then the Schur K-group S(K) is obtained from the Schur k-group S(k) by scalar extension. In the paper we study projective Schur group PS(K) which is a generalization of Schur group, and prove that a projective Schur K-algebra is obtained by scalar extension of a projective Schur k-algebra where k is the maximal radical extension in K with mild condition.

  • The fuzzification of an ideal in a Lie algebra is considered. Using a level subset of a fuzzy subset of a Lie algebra, we give a characterization of a fuzzy ideal, and using a family of ideals of a Lie algebra, we establish a fuzzy ideal. With relation to the ascending chain of ideals, a characterization for the set of values of any fuzzy ideal to be a well-ordered subset of the closed unit interval [0,1] is stated.

  • The incidence matrices corresponding to a nil-algebra of finite index % can be used to determine the nilpotency. We find the smallest positive integer n such that the sum of the incidence matrices Σ$\_$p/$\^$p/ is invertible. In this paper, we give a different proof of the case that the nil-algebra of index 2 has nilpotency less than or equal to 4.

  • If an Azumaya algebra A is a homomorphic image of a finite group ring RG where G is a direct product of subgroups then A can be decomposed into subalgebras A(sub)i which are homomorphic images of subgroup rings of RG. This result is extended to projective Schur algebras, and in this case behaviors of 2-cocycles will play major role. Moreover considering the situation that A is represented by Azumaya group ring RG, we study relationships between the representing groups for A and A(sub)i.

  • A study is made of a special type of $C^{\ast}$ -dynamical systems, consisting of a class $n^{\infty}$ uniformly hyperfinite $C^{\ast}$-algebra A, the torus group $G=T^{d}$ ($$1{\leq_-}d{\leq_-}n-1$$) and a natural product action of G on A by $^{*}-automorphisms$. We give some conditions for product states on the fixed point algebra $A^{G}$ of A by G to be factorial.

  • Let $K_{\alpha}(G)$ (resp. $K_s(G)$) be the abelian (resp. symmetric) Kac algebra for a locally compact group G. We show that there exists a one-to-one correspondence between the subgroups of G and the sub-Kac algebras of $K_{\alpha}(G)$ (resp. $K_s(G)$). Moreover we obtain similar correspondences between the subgroups of G and the reduced Kac algebras of $K_{\alpha}(G)$ (resp. $K_s(G)$).

  • What we will be concerned with is, first, the question of the condition about $\mathcal{L}$ that gives Alg$\mathcal{L}$ a von Neumann algebra, that is, the question of the condition about $\mathcal{L}$ that will give Alg$\mathcal{L}$ a self-adjoint algebra. Secondly, if Alg$\mathcal{L}$ is a von Neumann algebra, we want to find out what type it is.
