Data Preprocessing Method for Lightweight Automotive Intrusion Detection System (차량용 경량화 침입 탐지 시스템을 위한 데이터 전처리 기법)

  • This paper proposes a sliding window method with frame feature insertion for immediate attack detection on in-vehicle networks. This method guarantees real-time attack detection by labeling based on the attack status of the current frame. Experiments show that the proposed method improves detection performance by giving more weight to the current frame in CNN computation. The proposed model was designed based on a lightweight LeNet-5 architecture and it achieves 100% detection for DoS attacks. Additionally, by comparing the complexity with conventional models, the proposed model has been proven to be more suitable for resource-constrained devices like ECUs.

  • This paper elaborates two novel proposed topologies (type-I and type-II) of the high step-up DC-DC converter using switched inductor and voltage multiplier cell. The advantages of these proposed topologies are the less voltage stress on semiconductor devices, low device count, high power conversion efficiency, high switch utilization factor and high diode utilization factor. We analyze the Type-II topologies operating principle and mathematical analysis in detail in continuous conduction mode. High-intensity discharge lamp for the automotive application can use the derived topologies. The proposed converters give better performance when compared to the existing types. Also, it is found that the proposed type-II converter has relatively higher voltage gain compared to the type-I converter. A 40 W, 12 V input voltage and 72 V output voltage has developed for the type-II converter and the performances are validated.

  • We have developed an integrated giant magneto resistance using not only circuit but also integrating technique with semiconductor for automobile application. It has four elements used for giant magneto resistance sensor. Ni-Fe/Cu multi layers were prepared on a glass substrate by magnetron sputtering. The dependence of magneto resistance on the thickness of the Ni-Fe and Cu layers was investigated. The MR ratio showed a saturated a peak at Cu layer $10{\AA}$, Ni-Fe layer $50{\AA}$, where the MR ratio is about 8.7% at room temperature. By means of Ni-Fe multi film and specific integrating technique, these new giant magneto resistance sensor showed excellent resistance characteristics.

Structural Ceramics for Automobiles and Industrial Application in Japan (구조용 세라믹스의 자동차와 제조업에의 응용)

  • The status of structural ceramics in Japan is presented. Use of ceramics for structural components had been limited due to their brittleness, and the successful application was wear resistant parts such as thread guides and ceramic cutting tools up to around 1980. Since then, considerable work has been done for applying ceramics to mechanical parts, and automotive components made of silicon nitride were developed and commercialized in 1980s. Unfortunately, the application of silicon nitride to automotive engines is not so popular in these days. Instead, a variety of structural ceramics such as alumina, silicon carbide and zirconia have recently extended the market, and the expanded application includes vacuum process parts for manufacturing semiconductor and liquid crystal devices, refractory tubes for casting aluminum alloy, and dies for optical lens forming. In addition, cordierite honeycombs and diesel particulate filters are widely used in automobiles. In the present review, the recent application of structural ceramics to automobiles and industries in Japan is summarized.

Performance of Non Punch-Through Trench Gate Field-Stop IGBT for Power Control System and Automotive Application

  • In this paper, we have analyzed the electrical characteristics of 1200V trench gate field stop IGBT and have compared to NPT planar type IGBT and NPT planar field stop IGBT. As a result of analyzing, we obtained superior electrical characteristics of trench gate field stop IGBT than conventional IGBT. To begin with, the breakdown voltage characteristic was showed 1,460 V and on state voltage drop was showed 0.7 V. We obtained 3.5 V threshold voltage, too. To use these results, we have extracted optimal design and process parameter and designed trench gate field stop IGBT. The designed trench gate IGBT will use to inverter of renewable energy and automotive industry.

  • 최근 친환경 자동차로의 적용을 위한 차량용 전력반도체에 대한 연구개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 전압, 전류 등의 기본 성능사양은 선진사(社)의 동등 혹은 유사 수준에 도달하였음에도 아직 수명 내구성과 같은 신뢰성 측면에서는 미비한 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 대용량 전력반도체 모듈의 신뢰성 평가 항목 중 하나인 파워 사이클 시험평가를 위한 파워 사이클러 개발에 대해 논한다. 본 기술개발을 통해 개발된 파워사이클러는 기존 고가의 외산 파워 사이클러를 도입하거나 해외 평가기관을 활용해야 했던 국내 전력반도체 모듈 개발업체의 지원이 가능하며, 또한 국산화 개발을 통해 전력반도체 모듈 개발업체의 요구사항을 충분히 반영할 수 있는 맞춤형 파워사이클러 개발이 가능하다. 개발된 장비를 활용하여 전기차용 전력 모듈에 대한 파워사이클 평가를 진행하며, 그 타당성을 검증한다.

  • This paper proposes a CRC error verification method for SPI and I2C buses of automotive semiconductors. In automotive semiconductors, when an error occurs in communication and an incorrect value is transmitted, fatal results may occur. Unlike LIN communication and CAN communication, in communication such as SPI and I2C, there is no frame for detecting an error, so some definitions of new standards are required. Therefore, in this paper, the CRC error detection mode is newly defined in the SPI and I2C communication protocols, and the verification is presented by designing it in hardware.

  • The core of IT products, electronic components, especially the MLCC, chip inductors, chip Varistors and so on. In order to test the electrical characteristics of the chip using the Reno-pin contact test method has been used. In current chips, mass production of semiconductor manufacturing processes, high-speed production test for the chip speed up, precision is required. But Vibration displacement is a very short, so in order to overcome these shortcomings, the displacement amplification to design the structure has been actively studied. In this paper, a building structure with a flexible hinge was designed amplification instrument, semiconductor chip industry in the performance test and inspection equipment to measure the electrical characteristics of high speed linear actuators Reno-Pin using system was developed.

  • Among the electrical components mounted on railroad cars, the largest load is the main transformer, which has a low power density of 0.2~0.4 MVA/ton due to the low operating frequency(60Hz), which is an important factor for weight reduction. Therefore, research on molded transformers, semiconductor transformers, etc. is being actively conducted at Domestic and foreign in order to improve the main transformer for railway vehicles. Meanwhile, attempts are being made to apply a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) to replace an induction motor as a traction motor that is mostly applied to domestic and foreign railway vehicles. Permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) can secure higher power density and efficiency compared to induction motors, but have disadvantages in that the materials required for manufacturing are expensive and design is somewhat difficult compared to induction motors. Considering these problems, in this paper, we suggest that a small and lightweight semiconductor transformer is applied, and a simple structure, high torque, low cost SRM can be applied in accordance with the requirements such as weight reduction and high efficiency of railroad vehicles. content.

Fabrication and Evaluation of the SnO2 Based Gas Sensor for CO and NOx Detection (SnO2를 이용한 CO 및 NOx 가스 감지 센서 제작 및 특성 연구)

  • In this paper, we fabricated and evaluated the gas sensor for the detection of CO gas and $NO_X$ gas among the vehicle exhaust emission gasses. The $SnO_2$ (tin dioxide) layer is used as the detection material, and the thin-film type and the nano-fiber type layers are deposited with various thicknesses using sputtering method and electro spinning method, respectively. The experiments are performed in the chamber where the gas concentration is controlled with mass flow controller. The fabricated devices are applied to the CO and $NO_X$ gas, where the device with the thinner $SnO_2$ layer shows better sensitivity. The nano-fiber has the larger surface area, and the shorter response time and recovery time are obtained. From the experimental results, both types of gas sensors successfully detect CO and $NO_X$ gases, which can be applied to measure those gases from the vehicle emissions.
