  • This paper shows the form of the optimal solution and how to minimize energy of train driving control using SA(simulated annealing). In this paper, we consider the case where a train is to be driven by automatic operation mode along a non-constant gradient, curve and with speed limits. Using the combinational optimal technique, SA, we constructed optimal train driving strategy.

고속 공기압 쿠션 실린더의 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of a High-Speed Pneumatic Cushion Cylinder)

  • Of all of pneumatic components utilized in the make up of pneumatic circuits on either automatic assembly machine or industrial equipment, the pneumatic cylinder is more oriented toward being a structural as well as a pneumatic member. The structural design must be based to a large degree on the end of application of the cylinder on the equipment it is operating. In this paper, design studies of a double-acting pneumatic cushion type cylinder with low-friction and high-speed driving have been developed. Of interest here is to investigate the stress and strain analysis of cylinder tube, piston rod, end cover, and to analyze the buckling of piston rod. A finite element analysis is carried out to compute the distribution of the displacement, stress and safety factors by using ANSYS. As a result, the structural safety factors of each parts in pneumatic cushion cylinder are evaluated and confirmed at the design specifications.

  • Train driving should be satisfied to run fixed distance within given time, and it is desirable to minimize energy consumption. Minimizing energy consumption depends on the train operation modes by driver or automatic operation. In this article, an optimal operation to minimize energy consumption by changing modes of train operation by a driver is investigated. First, powering model, braking model and consumed energy calculation model are introduced by using Matlab software. The accuracy of the model established by simulation is compared with the real experimental data, which is obtained from an authorized institution. Second, several simulations under a variety of operations in the ideal track are executed, and then the optimal pattern of train driving is found.

  • This paper presents fuzzy control rules for automatically driving a model car. The model car has a two sensors. This sensors measure a road outline and get a distance between a model car and a road outline. A Fuzzy Logic Controller(FLC) bases on a knowledge of the human experience. A FLC designed successfully controls the model car. Simulations results verifies the validity of proposed algorithm.

  • The purpose of this paper is to present the development processes of the assembly line tester of power transmission for lift truck. Because power transmission is most important part of lift truck, all assembled powertrain parts must be inspected for operational defects, pressures and RPM. Developed assembly line tester is designed to take about 25 minutes for inspecting each assembled power transmission and located it at the end of assembled line. The assembly line no-load tester consists of three parts: (1) the driving hardware part; for installing and operating the transmission. (2) control PCB part; send data from sensors to a computer and control driving part, (3) operation software of no-load tester; for an automatic inspection or manual inspection, for database management and printing transcripts.

  • In this study, The behavior of an autonomous vehicle in an intersection accident situation is predicted. Based on a representative intersection accident situation from actual intersection accident database, simulation was performed by applying the automatic emergency braking algorithm used in the autonomous driving system. Accident reconstruction was performed based on the accident report of the representative accident situation. After applying the autonomous driving system to the accident-related vehicle, the tendency of intersection accidents that may occur in autonomous vehicles was identified and analyzed.

  • Most of feedback shift controllers developed in the past have fixed control parameters tuned by experts using a trial and error method. Therefore, those controllers cannot satisfy the best control performance under various driving conditions. To improve the shift quality under various driving conditions, a new self-organizing controller(SOC) that has an optimal control performance through self-learning of driving conditions and driver's pattern is designed in this study. The proposed SOC algorithm for the shift controller uses simple descent method and has less calculation time than complex fuzzy relation, thus makes real-time control passible. PCSV (Pressure Control Solenoid Valve) control current is used as a control input, and turbine speed of the torque converter is used indirectly to monitor the transient torque as a feedback signal, which is more convenient to use and economic than the torque signal measured directoly by a torque sensor. The results of computer simulations show that an apparent reduction of shift-transient torque is obtained through the process of each run without initial fuzzy rules and a good control performance in the shift-transient torque is also obtained.

  • 본 논문에서는 자계표식을 이용한 로봇형 차량의 무인주행기술을 제안한다. 자계표식을 이용한 주행시스템에서 가장 중요한 것은 자계도로상의 자석의 위치예측이다. 자석의 위치를 예측하기 위하여 자석과 센서의 상관관계를 해석하고 도로에 매설된 자석의 위치를 검출하기 위한 배열형 자계표식 위치인식센서를 제안한다. 또한 스텝모터를 이용한 조향제어장치를 개발하고 자동모드 및 수동모드 운전이 가능토록 한다. 무인주행 실험을 위해 자계도로를 설치하고, 제작된 로봇형 차량의 실험을 통해 실용성을 입증한다.

척수손상 장애인의 자가운전 특성에 관한 연구 (The Study of the Driving Characteristics in Persons With Spinal Cord Injury)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide information on driving characteristics in persons with spinal cord injury through basic statistic analysis of the survey results. The survey was administered to 44 drivers with spinal cord injury. The subjects' general, neurologic and driving characteristics were analyzed, as well as the degree of difficulty in using their vehicles between tetraplegia and paraplegia. The results were as follows: thirty-five (79.6%) of forty-four respondents was men. The average age was 35.0 years old and the age at the time of injury was 29.0 years old. Their neurologic characteristics were tetraplegics 12 (27.3%) and paraplegics 32 (72.2%). Among complete lesions, the highest level those who could drive independently was C7. All the vehicles were equipped with special devices, including "power steering", "automatic transmission" and "hand controls". The vehicles for cervical cord injury were equipped with "grip bars" as well as for the degree of difficulty in using their vehicles, all the subjects felt that "moving the wheelchair in and out of their vehicles" was too difficult for them to do. We suggest that the driver training should be an essential part of the rehabilitation program for patients with spinal cord injuries to maximize their mobility in the community. This training seems to be essential in order to modify the standards of the Handicapped Drivers Ability Test and to aid the driver rehabilitation program in the health insurance payment system. Also, the driver rehabilitation training program should include instruction in that moving wheelchairs in and out of vehicles.

전동열차의 운행에너지 절감을 위한 최적 운행 패턴 모델링 (Modeling of the Optimal Operation Pattern for Energy Saving of The Trains)

  • 본 논문에서는 고정된 역간 거리를 정해진 운전 시분내에 주행에너지를 최소화하며 주행하는 열차의 특성을 파악하고 수학적으로 모델링한다. 도시철도차량 자동주행에 일반적으로 사용되는 PID제어기 대신 목표값에 추종하면서도 자동 주행 중 소비에너지가 최소화되도록 최적제어기를 사용하여 철도 차량를 모델링하였으며 실제 동일한 운행조건하에서 설계한다. 실제 선로 조건을 적용하여 별도의 차상장치나 선로주변시설 없이도 자동운전 중 주행에너지를 최소하여 주행에너지를 절감하고자 한다. 따라서 8호선 실 노선 구간별 운전시분 내에서 실측 데이터 분석을 위해 직선구간/구배구간/곡선구간 등 구간을 선정하고 그 구간에서 열차의 운행패턴에 따라 에너지를 절감하는 열차운행을 방법을 제시하였다.
