치매 노인환자와 간호사의 대화 분석: 대화의 구조와 연속체 형태를 중심으로 (Analysis of Conversation between Elderly Patients with Dementia and Nurses: Focusing on Structure and Sequential Patterns)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify functional structure and patterns of dialogue sequence in conversations between elderly patients with dementia and nurses in a long-term care facility. Methods: Conversation analysis was used to analyze the data which were collected using video-camera to capture non-verbal as well as verbal behaviors. Data collection was done during February 2005. Results: Introduction, assessment, intervention, and closing phases were identified as functional structure. Essential parts of the conversation were the assessment and intervention phases. In the assessment phase three sequential patterns of nurse-initiated dialogue and four sequential patterns of patient-initiated dialogue were identified. Also four sequential patterns were identified in nurse-initiated and three in patient-initiated dialogues in the intervention phase. In general, "ask question", "advise", and "directive" were the most frequently used utterance by nurses in nurse-initiated dialogue, indicating nurses' domination of the conversation. At the same time, "ask back", "refute", "escape", or "false promise" were used often by nurses to discourage patients from talking when patients were raising questions or demanding. Conclusion: It is important for nurses to encourage patient-initiated dialogue to counterbalance nurse-dominated conversation which results from imbalance between nurses and patients in terms of knowledge and task in healthcare institutions for elders.

  • Risk management of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station decommissioning is a great challenge. In the present study, a risk management framework has been developed for the decommissioning work. It is applied to fuel assembly retrieval from Unit 3 spent fuel pool. Whole retrieval work is divided into three phases: preparation, retrieval, and transportation and storage. First of all, the end point has been established and the success path has been developed. Then, possible threats, which are internal/external and technical/societal/management, are identified and selected. "What can go wrong?" is a question about the failure scenario. The likelihoods and consequences for each scenario are roughly estimated. The whole decommissioning project will continue for several decades, i.e., long-term perspective is important. What should be emphasized is that we do not always have enough knowledge and experience of this kind. It is expected that the decommissioning can make steady and good progress in support of the proposed risk management framework. Thus, risk assessment and management are required, and the process needs to be updated in accordance with the most recent information and knowledge on the decommissioning works.

사상체질병증 진단도구 개발 연구 (A Study on the Development of Diagnostic Tools for Sasang Constitutional Patterns)

  • Objectives The purpose of this study was to develop diagnostic tools for Sasang Constitutional patterns based on the middle classification of the Sasang Constitutional patterns. Methods Diagnosis and assessment indicators of Soeumin, Soyangin, Taeeumin, and Taeyangin patterns were extracted based on the 『Clinical Practice Guideline for Sasang Constitutional Medicine Symptomatology』 and 『Donguisusebowon』. An online survey was conducted on the 'importance of diagnosis and assessment indicators' by the Sasang Constitutional Medicine expert group. Results Based on the expert consultation results, the importance weight for each diagnosis and assessment indicators symptom was calculated, and the importance was ranked to develop diagnostic tools for Soeumin, Soyangin, Taeeumin, and Taeyangin patterns. Diagnostic tool consisted of 58 questions for Soeumin patterns, 68 questions for Soyangin patterns, 81 questions for Taeeumin patterns, and 42 questions for Taeyangin patterns. The final total score was calculated by reflecting each response score and the weight of each question. Conclusions The developed 'Diagnostic Tools for Sasang Constitutional patterns' can be used to make an effective and objective diagnosis in the clinical site. In the future, if the reliability and validity of these diagnostic tools are tested through clinical study, it will be possible to improve clinical applicability and contribute to standardization of diagnosis.

전통발효식품용 종균의 안전성 평가 필요성 (Safety Assessment of Starters for Traditional Korean Fermented Foods)

  • 식품발효용으로 사용하는 미생물은 오랜 기간의 사용이력에 근거하여 안전성에 대한 의문이 제기되지 않고 사용되어 왔다. 한편, 가공식품산업의 발달로 국제적인 식품 거래가 활발해지면서 수입국의 소비자와 정부당국은 식품에 첨가하는 미생물의 안전에 대해서 더욱 민감하게 반응하고 있다. 현재, 식품에 첨가하는 미생물에 대한 안전성 평가기준은 미국 Food and Drug Administration (FDA)가 사용하고 있는 Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS)와 유럽연합 European Food Safety Agency (EFSA)의 Qualified Presumption of Safety (QPS)가 대표적으로 적용되고 있다. GRAS는 식품에 첨가하는 미생물 자체에 대한 안전성이 아닌 특정용도에서의 첨가에 따른 안전성을 의미하고, QPS는 식품에 첨가 가능한 미생물 단위(분류학적 단위, taxonomic unit)에 대한 안전성 평가이다. 우리나라에서는 전통발효식품의 상업적 생산이 증가하면서 종균 적용이 추진되고 있지만, 식품발효용종균에 대한 안전성 기준규격 없어 안전성 평가 없이 기능성만으로 종균 개발이 진행되고 있다. 전통발효식품의 세계화를 위해서는 향후 적용될 종균에 대한 기능적 측면뿐만 아니라 안전성의 확보가 필요하고, 식품용 미생물에 대한 안전성 평가 기준의 마련이 필요한 시점에 도달해 있다.

영작문 상황에서의 표절 측정의 신뢰성 연구 (Measuring plagiarism in the second language essay writing context)

  • This study investigates the reliability of plagiarism measurement in the ESL essay writing context. The current study aims to address the answers to the following research questions: 1) How does plagiarism measurement affect test reliability in a psychometric view? and 2) how do raters conceive the plagiarism in their analytic scoring? This study uses the mixed-methodology that crosses quantitative-qualitative techniques. Thirty eight international students took an ESL placement writing test offered by the University of Illinois. Two native expert raters rated students' essays in terms of 5 analytic features (organization, content, language use, source use, plagiarism) and made a holistic score using a scoring benchmark. For research question 1, the current study, using G-theory and Multi-facet Rasch model, found that plagiarism measurement threatened test reliability. For research question 2, two native raters and one non-native rater in their email correspondences responded that plagiarism was not a valid analytic area to be measured in a large-scale writing test. They viewed the plagiarism as a difficult measurement are. In conclusion, this study proposes that a systematic training program for avoiding plagiarism should be given to students. In addition, this study suggested that plagiarism is measured reliably in the small-scale classroom test.

교구를 활용한 활동에서 창의성 평가를 위한 학생들의 반응 유형 분석 (A Type Analysis of Students' Responses for Assessing Creativity in Activity Using Manipulative)

  • This research analyzes students' response types in the creativity assessment by using pattern block, geoboard, and pantomino. 74 students from third grade to sixth grade participated in this research. 15 minutes were given to pattern block and geoboard questions. 74 students showed 393 answers in pattern block question and 590 answers in geoboard question. In pantomino, 20 minutes were given and 54 students showed 443 types of answers. The results are as follows: First, in the students' responses, tendency of using particular piece or figure, which presents conjoining in a piece selection and positioning, showed strongly. For example, usage of hexagon and trapezoid pieces were higer in pattern block and usage of L, P, and I pieces were higer in pentomino. Second, it is confirmed that creativity's subordinate factors, fluency, flexibility, and originality, are separate from each other. To illustrate, in pattern block, three students', who showed 11 types of responses in fluency, flexibility responses were each 5, 6, and 8 types. Specially, among those studenys, only one could achieve a point in originality. Third, students' response types categorized in this research could be used for a bae-data to mark grades on originality.

간호사의 암환자 통증관리 및 통증지식에 관한 연구 (Pain management and Pain knowledge of Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study is part of questionnaire survey concerned with the views of nursing staff for cancer patients. This study was done to describe cancer pain management problem, pain management knowledge. Methods: The participants were 188 nurses at cancer ward. Data were collected from July 2003 to August 2003. Data were collected with multiple-choice items and one open-ended question, which were constructed structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed by means of SPSS statistical software and content analysis. Results: Experiences of pain education are 53.7%, pain assessment sheet not use 86%, pain management status are partial. Education need of pain management was 87.8% patients in pain were very often(23.9%) or rather often (35.1%) cancer patients. The nurses are respond to open question. Pain management problems as assessed by nurses are categorized 11 item. The health professional problems are Knowledge deficit pain management, Incontrollable pain, Doctor's busy. The patient problems afraid of narcotics for addiction, side effect, distinguishing between physical and suffering, economical problem. The scores of knowledge about pain was average 16.7 score. The pain knowledge showed significant correlation education need(r=.180, p=.013). The effective variable was need of $education({\beta}=.163)$. Conclusion: It was found that pain knowledge was middle score and pain management problem was multiple. The study highlights the need to increase pain education for health professional. Therefore, This study suggest that health professionals education should be done to improve pain management problem.

집단지성과 적시학습을 이용한 SERO 노트 시스템 모형 설계 (Design of SERO Note System Model Using Collective Intelligence and Just-In-Time Learning)

  • 본 논문에서는 학습자의 내부환경과 외부환경 정보를 이용하여 교사 및 학습자들 간의 협력학습을 지원하는 SERO노트 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안 시스템은 학습자의 내부환경을 평가문항에 대한 재학습 희망 여부로 정의하고, 외부환경을 평가문항에 대한 정답 여부로 정의하였다. 평가문항별 SERO 유형 분류를 통한 교사 및 학습자들 간의 협력 학습이 교육평가의 본질적인 목적을 반영하고 있다. 평가문항별 유형 분류를 통한 결과를 DB에 축적하여 활용함으로써 교사 및 학습자들에게 다양한 환류의 기회를 제공 한다.

슬림핏 청바지 패턴 설계를 위한 20대 남성의 청바지 착용 실태 조사 (A Study on the Jeans Wearing Conditions for Men in Their Twenties to Slim Type Jeans Pattern Making)

  • This study aimed to identify the preferred jeans design and needed improvements through survey research aimed at men aged 20~29. In order to identify the current wearing trends and problems of jeans, the study carried out survey research aimed at men in their twenties who had purchased and worn jeans. As a result of survey research aimed at consumers, it was discovered that fit was deemed most important during the purchase of jeans. As to the question which type of slacks was worn most frequently, the answer was slim type jeans. Regarding body parts that became the selection standard during the purchase of jeans, the answer was thigh and waist. The body parts that showed the lowest assessment result appeared to be thigh circumference, waist measurement, slacks length, and slacks bottom. To a question asking about things to be repaired and to be improved, they replied that there were problems in measurement fit, dissatisfaction with materials, and washing and management.

중학교 과학과 총괄 지필평가 문항의 목표 분석 (Analysis of Summative Evaluation Objectives in Middle school Science Examination by Klopfer's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives)

  • 이 연구는 중학교 1학년 과학과 총괄 지필평가 출제경향을 조사하기 지필평가 문항의 행동영역, 내용영역, 문항유형, 난이도에 대하여 조사 분석하였다. 10개의 중학교의 1차와 2차 지필평가 문항의 총 645개를 연구대상으로 하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지필평가 문항의 행동영역은 '지식, 이해' 수준으로 편중되어 있으며, 적용, 분석, 종합, 평가 영역의 문항은 거의 출제가 되고 있지 않았다. 둘째, 내용영역은 기존의 연구의 결과에 비해 과학적 탐구과정의 출제 빈도수가 많아졌지만, 여전히 과학지식을 묻는 문항이 과학적 탐구과정의 문항과 비교하여 두 배 이상의 비율로 출제되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 문항유형은 선다형 문항 중심으로 출제 되고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 넷째, 정답률을 기준으로 문항의 난이도를 분석한 결과, 전체적인 빈도수에서 '상'에 해당하는 문항의 비율은 교사가 목표로 하는 난이도 비율보다 낮았으며, '중'의 비율은 교사가 생각하는 난이도 비율보다 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 과학학습에 대한 다양한 영역의 총체적인 평가를 위해서는 교사의 평가 및 문항 개발의 전문성 신장에 대한 노력이 이루어져야 할 것이다.
