This study examined the type, the structural shapes, and the representation of Sandae, which was the stage for traditional performing arts and constructed for the purpose of imperial processions, ritual ceremonies, banquets, etc. from the Goryeo Dynasty to the Late Joseon Dynasty, and the implications of Seokgasan, which was built in the same era. First, through the history and meaning of Sandae, it was confirmed that Sandae has a homogeneity with Seokgasan, which attempted to imitate the shape of "Mountain" in the outer space. The construction of Sandae was deeply related to the tradition of famous mountains. This is consistent with the fact that 'Famous mountains and lakes" in China was symbolically replicated on the Seokgasan in the front yard of the "Cheongyeongak" in the Goryeo Dynasty. Second, Sandae and Seokgasan differed in their structural shapes, materials, and production methods, but they were used as a stage background for national events by constructing in the shape of the mountain, and appeared in various types. It can be seen that the interest in gardens and art of those days has resulted in various formative expressions of nature through the shape and symbolic meaning of the Sandae that mimics the mountain. Third, it is presumed that the square pond with lotus flowers, which is believed to have been located in the center of the garden of Shin Jaehyo's old house, and the Sugak and Seokgasan adjacent to it were not only elements of the garden, but also functioned as a background for the training and performance stage of Shin Jaehyo's students.

Energy requirement is defined as energy expenditure in an energy equilibrium state. The doubly labeled water (DLW) method is considered the gold standard for measuring total energy expenditure (TEE). In 2002, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) of the National Academies established dietary reference intakes (DRIs) for Americans and Canadians, and the equations for estimated energy requirement (EER) were developed by using pooled data from studies that had applied the DLW method. Since 2005, these equations have been used for establishing EER in the DRI for Koreans. These equations based on age group include the physical activity (PA) coefficient determined by the PA level (PAL; sedentary, low active, active and very active) as well as body weight and height. The PAL values of Koreans calculated using the DLW method and PA diaries were determined to fall in the low active category (1.40~1.59). Therefore, the PA coefficient corresponding to 'low active' was applied to the EER equations. In recent years, with increasing number of people regularly engaging in various physical activities in Korea, EER is now separately presented for people with 'active' and 'very active' PALs. In the future, like the United States and Japan, Korea needs to expand the DLW research for developing EER predictive equations for Koreans. In addition, standardized guidelines should be prepared to accurately evaluate the PAL using the physical activity diary and the new PA classification table for Koreans.

In modern society, human and social damages caused by natural disasters and frequent disaster accidents have been increased year by year. Prompt access to dangerous disaster sites that are inaccessible or inaccessible using state-of-the-art Earth observation equipment such as satellites, drones, and survey robots, and timely collection and analysis of meaningful disaster information. It can play an important role in protecting people's property and life throughout the entire disaster management cycle, such as responding to disaster sites and establishing mid-to long-term recovery plans. This special issue introduces the National Disaster Management Research Institute (NDMI)'s disaster management technology that utilizes various Earth observation platforms, such as mobile survey vehicles equipped with close-range disaster site survey sensors, drones, and survey robots, as well as satellite technology, which is a tool of remote earth observation. Major research achievements include detection of damage from water disasters using Google Earth Engine, mid- and long-term time series observation, detection of reservoir water bodies using Sentinel-1 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images and artificial intelligence, analysis of resident movement patterns in case of forest fire disasters, and data analysis of disaster safety research. Efficient integrated management and utilization plan research results are summarized. In addition, research results on scientific investigation activities on the causes of disasters using drones and survey robots during the investigation of inaccessible and dangerous disaster sites were described.
The purpose of this study is to examine the direction of the elderly theatre by analyzing an example of the elderly theatre program which is attempted in a way of the welfare of senior citizens in terms of cultural support. Research methods uses a case study, performance theory, and peer review strategies to increase the validity of the study. The results of the study are as follows: Firstly, the elderly women intended to communicate with children and adolescents through performance; Secondly, they wanted to communicate with other physically uncomfortable elderly people; Thirdly, they also attempted to communicate with young or middle-aged as well as all residents; Fourthly, they experienced a new genre of theatre to identify themselves in a different ways and enhance their sense of accomplishment and spent their old age pleasantly and informally. Based on these findings, the following suggestions were made. First, we should expand the theatre programs of senior citizens which benchmark the 'Hoechun Circus'. Second, various cases of elderly theater should be studied and policy research to support such elderly theatre is necessary. Besides, educational courses to train elderly theatre experts should also be developed. Third, it should also seek ways for the program to move beyond regional limits and interact with organizations at home and abroad. Fourth, there is room to explore new ways in the field of theater therapy, and the development of sociodrama or psychodrama programs can be an alternative.
This study aims to examine the interaction between jazz musicians playing in domestic jazz clubs and audiences visiting jazz clubs in depth. This study conducted an in-depth interview, a qualitative research methodology, to find out the subjective views of jazz club musicians and audiences about jazz club performances, and analyzed the contents and presented the results. The results of this study are as follows: First, jazz musicians perceived jazz clubs as the center point of their musician careers, and from the perspective of the audience, jazz clubs were a place where jazz lovers gathered voluntarily, and where they could enjoy musical communication in a comfortable atmosphere. Second, jazz club performances gave jazz musicians the autonomy to play and considered them suitable for creating optimized sounds, and the audience recognized that jazz musicians could experience performances vividly on stage close to the audience. Third, the way jazz musicians interacted with the audience was active for musical communication with the audience, and the audience preferred the way that interaction could contribute to their performance, and the audience recognized the interaction through musical communication with the musician and the musician's consideration for the audience. Fourth, jazz musicians played a major role in realizing a performance in which interaction with the audience was complete, and audiences perceived interaction as a joy of improvisation, a bond with jazz musicians, and a special experience. This study confirmed the jazz club's status as a cultural space for the public's jazz enjoyment as well as a performance base that ultimately promotes the development and spread of jazz gods in Korea, and it is meaningful that it can serve as a guideline for jazz performance planning and jazz club operation from an art management perspective.

Through scientific analysis, this study identified the material characteristics of metal foil decorating the border line and knotting of the National Folklore Cultural Heritage 'Pouch for the Sutra Embroidered with a Sun and Moon Design'. Through Scanning Electron Microscope-Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy results, it was estimated that silver (Ag) and sulfur (S) were present in the metal foil, and silver leaf was also attached to the medium. S may discolor Ag from yellow to black depending on its concsentration and contact time. Yellow color could not be identified in metal foil at present. But there existed an example of the preparation of a gold-colored flat silver thread; therefore, further research is needed to estimate the original color. The lamella was reddish brown on the back. Aluminum, silicon, and iron were also detected and were the main components found in red soil. This is believed to be the red adhesive in traditional flat gold thread and is considered to be an adhesive-related component of the metal foil. From the gas chromatography mass spectrometry results, the adhesive component was confirmed to be animal glue.
This study aims to figure out the progression of Hyundai motor's corporate cultural marketing by conducting semantic network analysis. Although the previous research has focused on conception, categorization, impact, and performance of cultural marketing, they hardly pay attention to changes in cultural marketing over time. To explore the identified gap, we collected 2,315 articles concerning Hyundai motor's cultural marketing on daily newspapers printed from 2001 to 2018. The 18-year time period was classified into four periods, and lists of words were extracted and analyzed by Korean language analysis program, Textom and social network analysis program, called 'UCINET'. The outcome of our analysis indicates that Hyundai Motor's cultural marketing has been developed from the strategy of merely increasing sales to the means of distinguishing their corporate and brand identity. In the early 2000s, the words 'customer', 'The Age of Great Paintings: Rembrandt and the 17th century Dutch paintings', and 'performances' were extracted with high frequency. It shows Hyundai Motor held performance-oriented events and provided benefits to specific consumer groups under the type of 'Cultural Promotion'. In addition, as the exhibition sponsored by Hyundai motor was reported in the media with high publicity effect, the concept of 'Cultural Support' is also emerged. In the late 2000s, the top exposures were 'Seoul Arts Center' and 'Seoul Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra'. Under the concept of 'Cultural Support', both organizations and cultural events were sponsored by Hyundai motor. Hyundai Motor has the tendency to cooperate with high profile parties who have already accomplished high publicities to attract social interests and issues. In the early 2010s, Hyundai Motor created cultural marketing brand and space ('Brilliant' and 'Hyundai Art Hall') that broadened the potential target groups, which represented both 'Cultural Support' and 'Cultural Enterprise'. In the middle and late of the 2010s, as shown by the high frequency of 'brand' and 'global', Hyundai Motor has focused on the global market and viewpoint has expanded to brand building focusing on the type of 'Cultural Enterprise'.
