The intimate relation between the 3-j coefficient in Quantum Theory of Angular Momentum (QTAM) and the $_3F_2(1)$ hypergeometric series is exploited to derive new summation theorems, from formulas for the 3-j coefficient.
In the earlier papers we analyzed the axisymmetric, nonstationary electrodynamics of the central black hole and a surrounding thin accretion disk in an active galactic nucleus. Based on those papers we analyze the axisymmetric, nonstationary force-free black hole magnetosphere and the motion of the plasma. We concentrate on deriving the totally new equations for the entropy incrrease and the angular momentum, energy extraction of the black hole.

Generating electromagnetic waves with Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) properties is a fast-growing research subject in both radio and optics. This paper describes the generation of OAM carrying waves using a circular array of rectangular planar monopole antennas. The proposed design combines simplicity, compactness, and most importantly very wideband of operating frequencies (about 20-160 GHz, bandwidth ratio about 1:8) which makes it suitable for future applications.
The purpose of this study was to examine the Roche technique performed by three male subjects in 2003 Taegu World Students Game. Conclusions are as followed. If the angular momentum was increased to counter-clockwise on voulting, the momentum acted like an interrupting factor of body spinning force. The biggest body angle was at VTD phase and the smallest was at BTO phase. At the phase of contacting on vaulting board and taking off from the vaulting board, the biggest personal angle difference between VTD and BTO was found. As the Roche technique was needed not only to fly high but also to increase body spinning rate, the projection angles of Roche technique were showed smaller than those of Cuervo technique. The angular velocity was peak during 2 times forward turn phase. The angular momentum was influenced by angular velocity from BTO and VTD phase.
The NMR shift arising from the electron angular momentum and the electron spin dipolar-nuclear spin angular momentum interaction has been examined for a $3d_1$ system in a strong octahedral crystal field when the threefold axis is chosen as the quantization axis. To investigate the NMR shift in this situation, first, we have extended the evaluation of the hyperfine integrals to any pairs of 3d orbitals adopting a general method which is applicable to a general vector R, pointing in arbitrary direction in space. Secondly, a general expression using a nonmultipole technique is derived for the NMR shift resulting from the electron angular momentum and the electron spin dipolar-nuclear spin angular momentum interactions. From this expression all the multipolar terms are determined. ${\Delta}B/B$ for the $3d_1$ system in this case is compared with that for the 3d1 system when the z axis is chosen as the quantization axis. When we choose the threefold axis as the quantization axis, it is found that along the , and axes, ${\Delta}B/B$ values are significantly different from each other and along the , <-1-1-1>, <-11-1>, , <-1-11>, , and <-111> axes, ${\Delta}B/B$ values are however the same. We also find that the 1/R7 term contributes dominantly to the NMR shift for all values of R. When 1/$R^5$ term is included, there is good agreement between the exact solution and the multipolar terms when $R\; {\leqslant}\;0.35\;nm.$.

This paper deals with the attitude control of an underactuated spacecraft that has one single-gimbal variable-speed CMG. An underactuated spacecraft may not converge to arbitrary attitudes if its total angular momentum is not zero. To stabilize a spacecraft, the CMG has to align with the angular momentum in the inertial frame. Four different install configurations for the CMG have been considered and controllable angular momentums have been analyzed. Also, based on the backstepping method, stabilizing control laws have been presented and their properties have been compared.
Stellar spiral arms and magnetic fields in disk galaxies are important in the formation of gaseous structures such as spurs/feathers and wiggles as well as in angular momentum transport between stars and gas. We present our recent results of global magnetohydrodynamic simulations to study nonlinear responses of self-gravitating and magnetized gas to an imposed stellar spiral potential. We vary the arm strength, the arm pattern speed, and magnetic field strength to explore various galactic situations. Magnetic fields not only reduce the peak density of galactic spiral shocks but also make angular momentum transport more efficient via magnetic pressure and tension forces. The extent and shapes of gaseous arms as well as the radial mass drift rate depend rather sensitively on the magnetic field strength. The wiggle instability apparent in unmagnetized models is suppressed with increasing magnetic field strength, while magnetic fields promote the development of magneto-Jeans instability of the arms and magnetic islands in between arms. We quantify the angular momentum transport by spiral shocks, focusing on the effects of magnetic fields. We also present physical interpretations of our numerical results and discuss astronomical implications of our findings.
This study was conducted to investigate the performance times, CM position and CM speed, pole chord length and pole chord angle, whole body angular momentum(X axis), and grip width in pole vault event according to the event and phase; touch down, pole plant, take-off, maximum pole bending pole straight, pole release, peak height, and foot contact, pole contact, free flight. The pole vaulting of four male elite vaulters including six trial were filmed using two video digital cameras at 60 Hz at 56th national athletic match, and data were collected through the DLT method of three dimensional cinematography. In general the better jumper is, the longer the performance time is. And the greater CM speed is, and the better his transformation ability of CM horizontal speed into vertical speed is. As he uses a longer pole, his grip is higher, and it is a enough for him to rock back his body, so that he pulls and pushes the pole well keeping his hips close to. An greater maximum angular momentum and early positioning of the hips parallel to the bar makes his body far side of the bar and his bar clearance easier. Specially our national jumper needs to have more powerful braking force during foot contact phase, and take his body on the pole after maximum pole bending, and pull and push the pole strongly keeping his hips close to. Also he needs to have stronger muscular strength in order to control the longer pole and use the pole of proper tension more efficiently.

In this paper, we propose a convenient microwave orbital angular momentum (OAM) mode generation and multiplexing method operating in the 18 GHz frequency band, based on a $2{\times}2$ uniform circular array and a $4{\times}4$ Butler matrix. The three OAM modes -1, 0, and +1 were generated and verified using spatial S-parameter measurements; the measured back-to-back mode isolation was greater than 17 dB in the full 17 GHz to 19 GHz range. However, the radiated OAM beam centers were slightly dislocated and varied with both frequency and the mode index, because of the non-ideal characteristics of the Butler matrix. This resulted in mode isolation degradation and transmission distance limitations.

This investigation deals with the spin-up flows in a circular container of aspect ratio, 2.0. Shear front is generated in the transient spin-up process and propagating from the side wall to the central axis in a rotating container. Propagation of the shear front to the axis in a rotating container means the region acquires an angular momentum transfer from the solid walls. Propagating speed of the shear front depends on the apparent viscosity of polymer solution. Two kinds of polymer solutions are considered as a working fluid: one is CMC and the other is CTAB solution. CMC solution has larger apparent viscosity than that of water, and CTAB shows varying apparent viscosities depending on the applied shear rates. Transient and spatial variations of the apparent viscosities of the present polymer solutions (CTAB and CMC) cause different speeds of the propagating shear front. In practice, CMC solution that has larger values of apparent viscosity than that of water always shows rapid approach to the steady state in comparison of the behavior of the flows with water. However, for the CTAB solution, the speed of the propagating of the shear front changes with the local magnitude of its apparent viscosity. Consequently, the prediction of Wedemeyer's model quantitatively agrees with the present experimental results.
