  • Analog systems could not fully deal with instrumentation and control facilities in power plants since these facilities have become more and more complex on account of various needs for large power generation capacity highly cost effective operation to conserve energy and operation management to prevent pollution. Digitalizations of control device and augmentations of control informations increased the necessity of fiber optic data networks which have excellent noise immunity and high quality wide-band with information transfer capability. The goal of this study is to offer a fiber optic data-way system which has high reliabilities, high data transmission rates and small cable ducts with large transmission capacities for the instrumentation and control of power plants.

  • In an attempt to fabricate all inclusive display systems we are presenting a study on several elements that would be used as building blocks for all-on-board integrated applications on stainless steel foils. These systems would include in the same substrate all or many of the components needed to drive a flat panel OLED display. We are reporting results on both digital and analog circuits on stainless steel foils. Shift registers running at speeds greater than 1.0MHz are shown as well as oscillators operating at over 40MHz. Pixel circuits for driving organic light emitting diodes are presented. The device technology of choice is that based on poly-silicon TFT technology as it has the potential of producing circuits with good performance and considerable cost savings over the established processes on quartz or glass substrates (amorphous Silicon a-Si:H or silicon on Insulator SOI).

  • Many system devices for fluoroscopic and general X-ray studies in diagnostic radiographic system have been being changed from analog mode to digital mode. In addition, among diagnostic imaging and radiologic examinations, fluoroscopic studies that requires functional diagnosis is being widely used. The video recording method of fluoroscopic studies has been useful in functional image diagnosis and dynamic image observation, but the utility of its image quality is being reduced because of limitation in setting play segments of the video player, inconvenience of play, difficulties in preserving reproduced images, the change of image quality, etc. In order to complement these shortages, it is necessary to facilitate access to patient diagnosis information such as storing, editing and sharing functional diagnosis images in response to the trend of the digitalization of digital radiographic & fluoroscopic system(DRF). Thus this study designed and implemented a device of storing functional dynamic images real time using a computer rather than existing video recording, aiming at contribution to functional image diagnosis.

마이크로컴퓨터 제어 열풍건조장치의 제작운영 (Operation of microcomputer aided convective drying system)

  • To convert the analog signal from the drying process into the digital signal, the interface circuit was designed and built. To measure the weight and temperature during drying process, strain gauge type load cell and temperature transducer composed of pt 100 $\Omega$ thermometers and wheatstone bridge circuits were built and used. The temperature control device was composed of photocoupler and triac. Microcomputer aided experimental convective drying system was built with above cricuits and devices. Drying characteristics of onions can be estimated using this system.

  • 엘리베이터 시스템은 의치 및 속도제어를 동시에 요구하는 시tm템으로 하드웨어로 구성된 종래의 엘리베이터 시스템의 제어장치를 최근에 발달된 micro- computer의 도움으로 간단화 시킬 수 있는 가능성을 연구 보고하였다. 본 논문은 microprocessor를 이용한 controller hardware 의 구성과 본 hardware에 따른 제어방식을 설명하였고, 이 방식을 이용하여 본 시그템이 주어진 속도유선에 따라 동작하는 것을 실험을 통하여 보였다. 사용된 엘리베이터 모힌의 상태방정식을 사용한 제어프로그램을 적용하여 실험한 결과, 일반적 엘리베이터 시스템에 micro-computer가 사용될 수 있는 가능성이 있음을 보였다.

  • DSP based on a 8 bit microprocessor was studied for ECG and PPG signals. Digital filtering has an advantage of reducing hardware components in system-on-chip design. However, low resolution such as in 8 bit data has much difficulties in DSP. We demonstrated a comparable performance of DSP filtering compared with analog filters.

  • This paper proposes an expert system to generate automatically the test table of test system which can highly enhance the quality and productivity of product by inspecting quickly and accurately the defect device on the electronic circuit board tested. The expert system identifies accurately the tested components and the circuit patterns by tracing automatically the connectivity of circuit from electronic circuit database. And it generates automatically the test table to detect accurately the missing components, the misplaced components, and the wrong components for analog components such as resistance, coil, condenser, diode, and transistor, based on the experience knowledge of veteran expert. It is implemented in C computer language for the purpose of the implementation of the inference engine using the dynamic memory allocation technique, the interface with the electronic circuit database and the hardware direct control. And, the validity of the builded expert system is proved by simulating for a typical electronic board model.

  • MPEG-II is the international standard of compression for digital image and digital audio that is the most important in the multimedia environment. Now many researchers are developing relevant systems. MPEG-II consists of video, audio, system and the other part. In this paper, we have designed and demonstrated two channel audio encoder system that processes the audio compression part, and excutes layer II for complexity and psychoacoustic model II, with ADSP-21020 of Analog Device.

  • We developed the portable blood analysis system, which can be measured pH of the blood. This system is composed to electronic circuit, mechanism, and system software. Electronic circuit is composed to the sensor, pre-amp part, temperature regulation part, fluid sensing part, A/D(analog to digital) conversion part, main and peripheral device processing part. And the mechanism is composed to the flow cell and the liquid flow part. The liquid flow part is consisted of blood and washing control system under the control of the 6-channel solenoid valve and syringe rump. The system software is composed to measurement program, calibration program, washing and diagnostic program. The program of each routine is designed as sequential process for an efficiency. And the portable pH analysis system used two-point calibration method using the two types of corrective liquid. As a result, we obtained the calibration curve and calculated the value of pH. For verifying the system, we confirmed the output voltage of the sensor, and estimated reappearance of system using the standard liquid.

  • This paper introduce a millimeter-wave radar system. As Fig 1 shows, This system consists of millimeter-wave radar front-end and digital signal processing parts through receive waves regarding up-coming obstacles. The system works as follow process; (1) Generate regular tripodal waves using the FMCW pulse generator (2) Transmit/Receive waves regarding up-coming obstacles (3) Analog filtering (4) FIFO memory interface (5) FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) (6) Calculation of distance / speed between cars (7) Object display and calibration. We have progress to solve the problem like as increase of traffic accidents causing damage and injuries due to the increased number of motor vehicles and long distance driving, and Need for a device to help drivers who are in trouble due to bad weather conditions. We are expect to Take the lead as a core technology in the ITS industry and to develop circuit and signal processing technologies related to millimeter-wave bandwidth.
