  • While trust and commitment are core mediating variables for the purpose of maintaining the long-term relationship, in the context of the characteristics of company and the relationship performance of its members, there have been limited studies which explore as to how each of the dimensions has affects differently. The basic purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between an automobile manufacturer and its agencies. The main purpose of this study is to examine how each different dimension of trust and commitment on the automobile manufacturer has different mediating effects between the characteristics of company(organization characteristics, relationship characteristics) and relationship performance perceived by its agents. Another purpose is to investigate the mechanism by which the relationship performance of the agencies is improved. An empirical study surveying 115 sales office managers at a leading automobile manufacturer in Korea was conducted. An analysis of the collected data indicates that while the characteristics of company have a positive influence on the agencies' relational performance through the mediating role of both trust of benevolence and commitment, agencies' trust of their headquarter's benevolence has a different influence on the dimensions of commitment. Finally, the authors discussed some theoretical contributions and managerial implications. And then, they presented limitations of this study and the future research directions.

  • In the application and composition of learning content, the field trip learning of scientific inquiry could provide a positive effect. Also, it can arouse an experience of various inquiry activities through open thinking. In addition, it could take a positive effect by providing the diversity and specificity of wildlife experience for the living organism. The biology inquiry program of the field trip is a necessary process to acquire ecological experiences in the learning context. However, there is some problem to solve before the performance of field trip learning as professional knowledge of the outdoors inquiry. Therefore, this study developed a field trip inquiry program for the plant in a coastal dune using artificial intelligence to assist professional knowledge. The researcher carried out literature reviews and analysis related to studies and programs to investigate learning steps, content, and strategy. Also, this study investigated the effects of the program on the affective domain of gifted elementary science students. According to the results of this study, the program can provide a positive effect on motivation, task commitment, and attitude level. Consequently, the field trip learning program for plant in the coastal dune using artificial intelligence developed in this study can arouse a positive effect on the affective domain. • Although Korean international students/scholars are among the largest groups of international students/scholars on most campuses in the United States, little is known about what types of demands their families face and how they adapt successfully in the face of demands. The purpose of this study was to explore family resilience, which consists of family demands, capabilities, and adaptation, perceived by Korean international student/scholar families, being theoretically guided by the Family Adjustment and Adaptation Response (FAAR) model. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews with couple informants. Following procedures of theory-based content analysis, data were analyzed using key FAAR concepts. Findings showed that most informants reported normative types of family demands such as hardships due to childcare; primary family capabilities were "maintaining social integration," "affective and instrumental communication," and "family cohesiveness," and "nurturance, education, and socialization" was the primary family adaptation mode. New categories under family capabilities, "religious commitment" and "transnational family support" were developed. The results suggest that there is a unique set of family capabilities that contribute to the successful adaptation of Korean international student/scholar families. Implications and limitations are discussed.

  • The objective of this research is to find out the BRQ(Brand Relationship Quality) construct perceived by fashion product consumers. BRQ, Fournier suggested in 1994, examines the depth and intensity of the enduring association formed by the pattern of interactions enjoining consumers and brands. As BRQ was supposed to reflect consumers' psychological process, qualitative research and literature review were conducted together. For qualitative research, two kinds of interviews were carried out in October and November 2005 to investigate consumers' cognitive, affective, and behavioral insight towards brands. One of them was in-depth interview with six people in different life situation. The other was focus group interview. Interviewees were asked to explain about two types of questions: (1) the brand name which interviewees had bought and (2) the description of interviewees' feeling and thought for the brand which the interviewees had bought assuming the brand was the person. All interviews were recorded and analyzed. Finally, it was proved that fashion product consumers had various kinds of relationship with brands, and BRQ facets including 'love', 'self-connection', 'nostalgia', 'intimacy', 'trust', 'commitment', 'symbol', and 'mystery' were identified.

  • This paper explores major factors that drive relationship quality and strength in business-to-business transactions. Three major factors, including offering characteristics, managers' interpersonal factors (similarity, expertise), and relational factors (relationship length, cooperation, and dependence), were proposed to affect relationship quality, and indirectly affect relationship strength. In addition, both economic/instrumental dimension (offering characteristics) and affective, relational dimensions (trust and commitment) are also expected to influence relationship strength. In the empirical study which used the textile-dyeing company managers' ratings of local exporters, structural equation modeling presented a well-fit evidence that relationship quality variables and strength are influenced by their proposed antecedents. Specifically, it was found that all characteristics (except relationship length) have direct effect on their relationship quality with local exporters, and indirectly impact on relationship strength which was measured along dimensions of intention to continue the business relationship in the future and the current share of business given to a local exporter. Together with the minor influence that instrumental dimension (offering characteristics) has on relationship strength, this study suggests that the willingness to remain in business relationship or current proportion of business shared is influenced more by affective assessment like relationship quality than by calculative motivation.

  • The purpose of this study was using a meta-analysis to estimate effect size ACT intervention program. Using a statistical method, meta-analysis has advantages that prove intervention's amount and direction. Meta-analysis facilitates comprehensive analysis. Through the data collection, 43studies were selected and 183 effect size were calculated as analysis objects. Using a 183 effect size, the overall effect size, Effect Size of categorical Factor, meta-regression result were suggested. The overall effect size of ACT program was 0.704. In the effect area of ACT, the affective domain had the largest effect size. Next were the cognitive domain, the behavioral domain. Analysis on gender of participant, mixed group had the largest effect size. Next were the female grouop, male group. Analysis on age of participant, adult group had the largest effect size. Next were the undergraduate grouop, adolescent group. Based on the findings, implications for future study were discussed.
