The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction for the development of intelligent agricultural machinery technology in the Republic of Korea. For this purpose, intelligent technology of agricultural machinery was divided into autonomous agricultural machinery and tractor-implement intelligent communication technology. Then, a survey and analysis of a previous study of the Republic of Korea and foreign countries were conducted. GNSS-based autonomous driving technology is still widely used worldwide, and recently, as research on camera and LiDAR-based autonomous driving is actively progressing, autonomous driving technology is becoming more advanced. ISOBUS-based technology is being developed worldwide for intelligent control of tractor-attached implements, and major global agricultural machinery manufacturers are actively applying it to their products. However, although some ISOBUS technologies are being researched in the Republic of Korea, there are no cases of application on agricultural machinery yet. Therefore, to be globally competitive in the agricultural machinery manufacturing industry, there is an urgent need to advance autonomous driving technology and commercialize agricultural machinery using ISOBUS technology.

Austomated visual inspection(AVI) capability has become an important key component in the automated manufacturing system. In such a visual inspection system an intensity(or color) image of a scene is quickly affected by optical property of objects, condition and roughness of surface, lens and filters, image sensor property and lighting system. In particular, the lighting system disign is the most important factor, since it affects overall performance of the visual system. For fast and cheap automated visual inspection system it is important to obtain the good image quality which results from careful attention to the design of the lighting system. In this paper, the lighting subsystem of AVI system is analysed for the inspection of printed circuit board(PCB) patterns. The spectral reflectance of materials, which are composed of PCB, is measured for choosing the light source. The reflection property is theoretically obtained by a reflection model and also obtained by experiments which measure intensity with varying the viewing direction of image sensor and the lighting direction of illuminator. The illumination uniformity of a ring-type illuminator. The lighting system is designed based upon the experimental results and theoretial analysis.
The objects of this study are to consider the current features and the development process of the utilizing system of aquaculture farms in Japan, and to suggest the theoretical basis for improvement of aquaculture system of Korea in the future through the analysis of background of the liberalization theory proposed recently. The aquaculture-fishery system of Japan was begun from the Meiji Era Fishery Act and New Fishery Act of the World war II. A small sum of fishery fee is paid to the fishery cooperative having fishing rights for securing fishing area newly, because the aquaculture of Japan belong to fishery cooperative not individual ownership of union membr of cooperative society, the other words, cultivation fisheries household. In case of Korea, there are several differences with Japan as follows; almost cultivation fisheries household has a individual license, the lisence of fishing rights are recognized as an article, the license of fishing lights are able to do sale. Therefore, it is needed to paid a lots of money for securing fishing area newly. On the other hand, advanced countries in the marine aquaculture such as Norway have reached the stage where the managing abilities of marine aquaculture are similar to those in the manufacturing industry. And the number of large scale aquaculture farms with developed technologies and advanced marketing strategies in those countries is increasing. Considering that the marine aquaculture in Japan under the similar fishery systems of Korea has developed the state-of-the-art management skills or lead to large scale management, it is difficult to expect the decrease in the production costs under the small scale family business in Korea and this will lead to the decreasing competitive advantage over the imported seafood. Therefore marine aquaculture in Korea needs to increase the economy of scale to acquire the competitive advantage.
This study evaluated a preventive information communication system for the storage, handing, and transportation of hazardous materials according to the hazardous materials safety management law of Korea. At present, the chemical management system has very little information on accident responses due to a problem in the initial response. Therefore, this study was designed to improve the hazardous materials safety management law as an advanced method for simultaneous accident prevention and response, such as GHS system. This can also cause confusion in industry, such as manufacturing and import-export companies, because safety management laws and the GHS system are very different from the hazard classification systems. This study suggests a harmonization plan between the hazardous materials safety management law and the GHS classification system through an analysis of the hazardous materials classification system of major advanced countries.
DSA (Dimensionally Stable Anode) electrodes are physically, thermally and electrochemically stable and are mainly Ti electrodes coated by Ru, Ir and Ta. DSA electrodes have been used in many industrial fields such as chlor-alkali, electrochemical water treatment, water electrolysis, etc. This review paper summarizes the study on the applications using DSA electrodes published in the recent 5 years. It suggests that the researches are intensively required on effective screening of electrodes materials, optimal designing of electrode structures and economical manufacturing of large area electrodes. It is expected that these studies will contribute to the further research and development on advanced DSA electrodes. In addition, the enhancement of DSA electrodes significantly leads to expand the type of the application using electrochemical processes in industry.

Until just a few years ago, digital circuit design techniques in register transfer level using Verilog or VHDL have been recognized as the up-to-date way compared with the traditional schematic design, and truly they have been used as the most popular skill for most chip designs. However, with the advent of era in which the complexity of semiconductor chip counts over billion transistors with advanced manufacturing technology, designing in register transfer level became too complex to meet the requirements of the needs, so the design paradigm has to change so that both design and synthesis can be done in higher level of abstraction. Bluespec SystemVerilog (BSV) is the only HDL which enables both circuit design and generating synthesizable code in the system level developed so far. In this contribution, I survey and analyze the features which supports the new paradigm in the BSV HDL, not very familiar to industry yet.
Marine fish aquaculture has been introduced on the East sea since 1964. The production volume of the marine aquaculture has been increasing drastically since 1990 with the technological improvements and the introduction of new species. However, the increasing costs of feed, seedlings and medical supplies and the decreasing prices due to the increase in the imports and domestic production have decreased the profits in the aquaculture business. Futhermore, the damage from the natural disasters such as red tides and typhoons has accelerated the exit from the business. Even though managing abilities to overcome the business crisis caused by the above factors are required, business managers based on the small scale family businesses do not have enough managing abilities to deal with the difficulties in the business. This study addresses the possibility of introducing the large scale aquaculture system in Korea by analysing the factors and process of leading to large scale businesses in the aquaculture in Japan.

Production planning is a key part of production management of manufacturing enterprises. Since computerization began, modern production planning has been developed starting with Material Requirement Planning (MRP), and today Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS), Supply Chain Management (SCM) has been spreading and advanced. However, in the shipbuilding field, rather than applying these general-purpose production planning methodologies, in most cases, each shipyard has developed its own production planning system. This is because the applications of general-purpose production planning methods are limited due to the order-taking industry such as shipbuilding with highly complicated construction process consisting of millions of parts per ship. This study introduces the design and development of the production planning system reflecting the production environment of heavy shipyards in Korea. Since Korean shipyards such as Hyundai, Daewoo and Samsung build more than 10 ships per year (50-70 ships in the case of large shipyards), a planning system for the mixed production with complex construction processes is required. This study draws requirements using PI/BPR (process innovation and business process reengineering) methodology to develop a production planning system for shipyards that simultaneously build several ships. Then, CBD software development methodology was applied for the design and implementation of planning system with drawn requirements. It is expected that the systematic development procedure as well as the requirements and functional elements for the development of the shipyard production planning system introduced in this study will be able to present important guidelines in the related research field of shipbuilding management.

Currently, semiconductor manufacturing industry heavily relies on a wide range of high global warming potential (GWP) gases, particularly during etching and cleaning processes, and their use and relevant carbon emissions are subject to global rules and regulations for achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. To replace high GWP gases in near future, dry etching using alternative low GWP gases is thus being under intense investigations. In this review, we report a current status and recent progress of the relevant research activities on dry etching processes using a low GWP gas. First, we review the concept of GWP itself and then introduce the difference between high and low GWP gases. Although most of the studies have concentrated on potentially replaceable additive gases such as C4F8, an ultimate solution with a lower GWP for main etching gases including CF4 should be developed; therefore, we provide our own perspective in this regard. Finally, we summarize the advanced dry etch process research with low GWP gases and list up several issues to be considered in future research.
As a regional development gap between Southwest and Southeast of Jeonnam Province are becoming more serious, it is highly time to come up with measures for the balanced development of the two areas. This paper suggests construction of the Airport and Port Supporting Complex in apparent efforts to reduce the gap between the two areas and facilitate the Southwest economy. The Supporting Complex aims to constitute a triangle industrial cluster which is classified into the following three categories; 1. Traditional competitive industries 2. New growth engine industries 3. Attraction of companies u-turning from abroad such as China etc. To provide one-stop service through set-up of R&D Business Center is the heart of this triangle core. This paper had LQ and Shift&Share Analysis in an attempt to search for competitive industries among the traditional industries in Mokpo-si(city) and Muan-gun(county) of Jeonnam Province. As a result of the analysis, metal manufacturing industry and metal-working process products industry have been found competitive in the two areas. Among the new growth engine industries, this paper suggests precision instruments industry and advanced parts industry for utmost strengths of airport and port while u-turning industries from abroad include higher value-added textile industry and fashion industry. It is expected that all of above-mentioned industries for the triangle industrial cluster will contribute to laying the groundwork to develop regional economy further and create more jobs in the Southwest area of Jeonnam Province.
