  • This study examined the effects of interpersonal relationship harmony and stress coping on the college adjustment among nursing students. The participants were 231. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. Adjustment to college life significantly correlated with interpersonal relationship harmony and stress coping style. Interpersonal relationship harmony was significantly different according to year, satisfaction with nursing as a major, and academic achievement. Multiple regression analysis showed that interpersonal relationship harmony and stress coping(problem-focused, emotion-focused, hopeful thought) explained 23% of variance in adjustment to college life. The study findings suggest that intervention intended to promote nursing students' adjustment to college life should focus on improving interpersonal relationship harmony and stress coping.

  • I. Introduction: In management control, business analysis has to do with a performance evaluation and is accounted much of manager's decision making, Business indicator accounting is the vehicle of decision making and also feedback can be accomplished by it. This study is to build up a logic about what capacity for use the business indicator accounting has in making decision. Therefore it is significant to make clear the adjustment of decision and to study the function of business indicator. II. Adjustment of Decision and Accounting Work: Adjustment of decision is connected with accounting now that business indicator accounting has a function of decision making. And it should be tied up with specialization as a structure of system, organization, communication and stage system. III. Adjustment of Decision and Managerial Accounting: Managerial account makes a great contributin to the management in which each adjustment of decision should be accomplished. Let me make mention of how the adjustment of decision is accomplished concretely, and what contribution che managerial accounting makes. In an adjustment of decision, centralization and decentrialization of enterprise are very import and I think the three problems, such as the extent of sphere (procurement, production and maketing), the face of affairs (planning, implementing and controlling), the final surge (decision making and action) can be accomplished by the business indicator accounting. IV. Structure of System and Disciplinary Approach for Decision: Decision can be classified into syncronized decision and continuous decision, and is closely connected with centralization and decentralization. In the course of systematizing, the sort of decision is classified into a man in charge of decision, and object of decision, conditions of decision, and an adjusting of decision. For it's object, it has an analogical thinking and an analytic subdivision about the target area. And it is premised on getting a scientific understanding. I think a disciplinary approach remains in solving these intricate problems. V. Conclusion: In this study I dealt with a specialization as a structure in management system and a theory that adjustment is a necessary process in decision making. For an adjustment of decision, exchanging informations and communication are necessary, and accounting is in charge of the process. And then the centralization and decentralization of decision should be connected in the way of adjustment of decision. In case of decentralization, the adjustment of decision is accomplished by the exchanging informations through feedback, and in case of centralization, by the all-round planning. And also I found that syncronized decision and decentralized decision are linked together. It is natural that the function of business indicator accounting is called for to render more services for it. Therefore, according to the extent of centralization and decentralization accounting to adjust the decision, can be various. Consequently, in relation to the structure of system. I think it is necessary to make a theoretical and empirical study of the business indicator accounting.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of self-regulation(SR) and the moderating effect of career identity(CI) in predicting academic achievement(AA) by middle school students' achievement value(AV). The subjects were 1,088 male and 970 female students in the third year of middle school. A conditional process analysis using SPSS and Hayes' process macro was conducted. The results were as follows. First, the partial mediation effect of SR was significant in the relationship between AV and AA. Second, the moderating effect of CI was notable in the relationship between AV and SR, and AV and AA respectively. Finally, the mediation effect of AV on AA through SR was found to decrease as CI increased. These results show that supporting the development of CI for students with low AV helps to improve SR and AA. However, as the effect of CI was found to be weaker than the effect of AV or SR on AA, the follow-up research exploring ways to support the achievement value of middle school students are suggested.

  • This research was conducted to verify the moderating effect of gender, which impacts learning strategy, negative emotions, and influence that university life adjustment of undergraduates has on academic achievement. Therefore, this survey was conducted on learning strategy and negative emotion in February, targeting 654 freshmen of a university in Seoul on their academic and social adaptation and grades which has been measured and analyzed three months later at the end of the term. The moderating effect according to genders was analyzed through hierarchical regression analyses, and diagram was presented after conducting the simple gradient verification as a post analysis on interactive effect. As a result of analysis, although learning strategy and academic adaptation was appeared to be significantly affecting grades regardless of gender, the impact of negative emotions on academic achievement were significant only to females, and the impact of social adaptation on academic achievement was significant only to males, which enabled the researchers to confirm the regulation effects on different genders. The implications and proposal for a follow-up study about learning strategy, emotion, and adaptation based on the research resulted in the discussion of academic achievement in university.

Mothers of 177 children with chronic disease were recruited from aged one to 17 years hospitalizing the pediatric nursing unit at one university hospital. 28 questions. a self-complete maternal questionnaire developed by researchers based on literatures and 'The Impact of Childhood Illness Scale' (Hoare & Russell, 1995) assess four aspects of the child's and family's lifestyle with two dimensions for each question. the frequency of the problem and its importance of concern that it cause. In the data analysis. Pearson correlation coefficients and analysis of variance were used to test any association and a statistical comparisons. between individual variables and the impact on child's and family's lifestyle. The results were as follows: 1) There were the higher mean scores on the importance dimension than on the frequency dimension on total impact on child's and family's lifestyle. On the importance dimension. mothers had much higher levels of concern about impact on child's development and adjustment among subscales. On the frequency dimension, mothers had much higher levels of concern about impact on the family daily living on subscales. 2) The impact on child's and family's lifestyle related on individual variables were: (1) On the importance dimension. there was statistically significant low in the impact on child's development and adjustment among subscales in older parent group compared with it of younger parent group. (2) On the frequency dimension. there were statistically significant high in the impact on child's development and adjustment among subscales in the children with leukemia or cancer compared with it of the other children who had another chronic illnesses. And there were statistically significant high in the impact on child's development and adjustment among subscales in less than high school educated mothers compared with it of mothers who was educated college level. (3) On the frequency dimension. There were statistically significant high in the impact on family's daily living among subscales and total impact on child's and family's lifestyle in female children. (4) There was positive correlation between impact on parents daily living and frequency of child's hospitalization on the frequency dimension. but there was negative correlation between the two variables on the importance dimension. (5) There was positive correlation between impact of chronic illness and its treatment and duration of child's hospitalization on the frequency dimension. In conclusion. these results were reflected by the high level of concerns about impact on child's development and adjustment although mothers had frequently responded about the impact on the family daily living. We suggest consistent intervening program that help the family empowering to make children live with and adjust to their chronic illnesses from the point of diagnosis and after discharge from the hospital.
