Recently, CMOS RF integration has been widely explored in the wireless communication area to save cost, power, and chip area. The direct conversion architecture, rather than a more conventional super-het-erodyne, has been an attractive choice for single-chip integration because of its many advantages. However, the direct conversion architecture has several fundamental problems to solve in achieving performance comparable to a super-heterodyne counterpart. In this paper, we describe a programmable filter for mobile communication terminals using a direct conversion architecture. The proposed filter can be implemented with the active-RC filter and programmed to meet the requirements of different communication standards, including GSM, DECT and WCDMA. The filter can be tuned to select a detail frequency by changing the gate voltage of the MOS resistors. The gain of the proposed architecture can be programmed from 27dB to 72dB using the filter gain and VGA in 3dB steps.

This paper presents a Receiver MMIC for the CDMA terminal. The complete circuit is composed of Low Noise Amplifier, Down Conversion Mixer, Intermediate Frequency Amplifier and Bias circuit. The Bias circuit implementation, which allows for compensation for threshold voltage and power supply voltage variation are provided. The proposed topology has high linearity and low noise characteristics. Results of the designed circuit are as follows: Overall conversion gain is 28.5 dB, input IP3 of LNA is 8 dBm, input IP3 of down conversion mixer is 0 dBm and total DC current consumption is 22.1 mA.

This paper presents the multi-band mixer which converts a X-, K- and Ka-band adaptively by adjusting the gate-bias voltage of an active device. The proposed mixer presented a conversion loss of -10 dB at -0.8 V gate-bias voltage for X-band, a conversion loss of -9 dB at -0.3 V gate-bias voltage for K-band and for Ka-band, a conversion loss of -7 dB at -0.2 V gate-bias voltage under the LO power of +6.0 dBm. The 1dB compression point (P1dB) is +0.5 dBm for all band.
The recent 3D printing technology is used in various medical, manufacturing, and education fields and is more efficient in terms of production process, time, and cost than existing production. Especially in fracture surgery, interest and research have been focused on improving accuracy, shortening of operation time and recovery time, and reducing reoperation. However, because of the financial and technical problems of the 3D printer and the file conversion program, the 3D printing is made directly at the hospital, and it is not generally used for diagnosis of fracture and surgical research. In this study, to solve those problems, clavicle CT imaging was switched into Osirix Open Source DICOM Viewer, Stereolithography file conversion programs and commercial Terarecon 3D DICOM Viewer, file conversion programs, and then clavicle fracture model was directly made through 3D printer of fused filament fabrication wire additive processing method, and then the accuracy of the shape was compared and analyzed. Clavicle fracture models printed in two methods were blind-tested on clinicians of general hospitals' orthopedics and radiologic technicians with over 10 years of experiences, and then their analysis opinions of resolution reviews were analyzed. The result showed no difference. The 3D printing model with open source DICOM STL file conversion program used was applicable to clinical, so it is considered useful in precision diagnosis of fracture and operation plans.

This study introduces an image-based 2D-to-3D conversion system that provides significant stereoscopic visual effects for humans. The linear and atmospheric perspective cues that compensate each other are employed to estimate depth information. Rather than retrieving a precise depth value for pixels from the depth cues, a direction angle of the image is estimated and then the depth gradient, in accordance with the direction angle, is integrated with superpixels to obtain the depth map. However, stereoscopic effects of synthesized views obtained from this depth map are limited and dissatisfy viewers. To obtain impressive visual effects, the viewer's main focus is considered, and thus salient object detection is performed to explore the significance region for visual attention. Then, the depth map is refined by locally modifying the depth values within the significance region. The refinement process not only maintains global depth consistency by correcting non-uniform depth values but also enhances the visual stereoscopic effect. Experimental results show that in subjective evaluation, the subjectively evaluated degree of satisfaction with the proposed method is approximately 7% greater than both existing commercial conversion software and state-of-the-art approach.
In this paper, a novel CII method using a depth conversion technique is proposed. The proposed method can move a far 3D object near lenslet array and reduce the computation cost dramatically. To show the usefulness of the proposed method, we carry out the preliminary experiment and its results are presented.
Prevalence of common three-dimensional display progresses, increasing the demand for three-dimensional content. Starting from the year 2010 to meet increasing 2D to 3D conversion is insufficient to meet demand content was presented as an alternative. But, Convert 2D to 3D stereo effect only emphasizes content production as a three-dimensional visual fatigue and the degradation of the Quality problems are pointed out. In this study, opened in 2011 'Scenes Guan', the 13 selected Scene is made of the three-dimensional transform the content and the Quality of the transformation applied to the Depth-Map is a visual representation of three-dimensional fatigue and, the adequacy of whether the expert has group interviews and surveys were conducted. Many of the changes are applied to the motion picture of the three-dimensional configurations of Depth-Map conversion technology used in many ways before and after the analysis of the relationship of cascade configurations to create a depth map to the stage. Experiments, presented in this study is a three-dimensional configuration of Depth-Map transformation can lower the production of a three-dimensional visual fatigue and improve the results obtained for a reasonable place was more than half of the experiment accepted the expert group to show a positive reaction were. The results of this study with a rapid movement to convert 2D images into 3D images of applying Depth-map configuration cascade manner to reduce the visual fatigue, to increase the efficiency, and has a three-dimensional perception is the result derived.

The conversion of monoscopic video to 3D stereoscopic video has been studied by some pioneering researchers. In spite of the commercial of potential of the technology, two problems have bothered the progress of this research area: vertical motion parallax and high computational complexity. The former causes the low 3D perception, while the hardware complexity is required by the latter. The previous research has dealt with NTSC video, thur requiring complex processing steps, one of which is motion estimation. This paper proposes 3D stereoscopic conversion method of MPGE encoded data. Our proposed method has the advantage that motion estimation can be avoided by processing MPEG compressed data for the extraction of motion data as well as that camera and object motion in random in random directions can be handled.
Computational integral imaging(CII) has the advantage of generating the volumetric information of the 3D scene without optical devices. However, the reconstruction process of CII requires increasingly larger sizes of reconstructed images and then the computational cost increases as the distance between the lenslet array and the reconstructed output plane increases. In this paper, to overcome this problem, we propose a novel CII method using a depth conversion technique. The proposed method can move a far 3D object near the lenslet array and reduce the computational cost dramatically. To show the usefulness of the proposed method, we carry out the preliminary experiment and its results are presented.
