  • This study is to analyze mathematically gifted middle school students' characteristics of mathematical thinking and the teacher's role in teaching and learning about the central projection and perspective drawing. And it will help to develop teaching and learning materials for the mathematically gifted. The result of this study is as followings : mathematically gifted middle school students show the various characteristics of mathematical thinking like as intuitive insight, generalization, logical thinking & mathematical abstraction and so on, and the teacher plays roles as instructional designer, facilitator, technical assistant and counselor.

Factors Influencing on Learning Flow of Nursing Students (간호대학생의 학습몰입에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing learning flow of nursing student. Design of this study was a descriptive research. The participants for this study were 283 nursing college students with four-years curriculum in D city from June 14th to June 24th, 2013. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression with SPSS 18.0 Program. There were significant correlations among self-leadership, academic self-efficacy, major satisfaction, and the learning flow. As a multiple regression analysis, factors that have an effect on learning flow were self-leadership, and academic self-efficacy. These factors explain 58.2% of the variance in learning flow. Self-leadership, academic self-efficacy, and learning flow relationship were positive relevant. To enhance learning flow ability for nursing students, it is necessary to develop training program and academic environment for increasing self-leadership and academic self-efficacy.

  • In this study, a TPACK-based STEAM program was developed and applied under the theme of excretory organs in the 'Structure and Function of Our Body' of the elementary science curriculum. The program was produced and conducted through curriculum analysis and learning goal detailing, learning environment analysis, teaching·learning method and technology selection, TPACK elements arrangement and teaching·learning material development, application and effectiveness verification. Teacher's TPACK considered in STEAM program design process is content knowledge (appearance and work of excretory organs), pedagogical knowledge (STEAM, problem-based learning, research learning, discussion learning, cooperative learning, scientific writing) and technology knowledge (3D printer and smart device application technology). The program consisted of a total of 8 hours of project learning activities and was applied to 29 students in the fifth grade as an experimental group. A program of the same theme developed mainly from textbooks was applied to 27 students in the fifth grade of a comparison group. As a result of the application of the program, the experimental group showed significant improvement in creative problem-solving ability and scientific attitude compared to the comparison group, and the class satisfaction with the STEAM program was also high. However, there was no significant difference in academic achievement ability.

  • 본 연구에서는 한강유역 내 관측기간이 충분한 기상청 지상관측소 10개소를 선정하고 CCCma(Canadian Century for Climate modeling and analysis)에서 제공하는 자료에 대한 인공신경망기법 상세화 적용을 실시하였다. 인공신경망의 학습을 위해 CGCM3.1/T63 20C3M시나리오(reference scenario)의 22개 2D변수 중 물리적으로 민감도가 높다고 판단되는 GCM_Prec, huss, ps를 입력변수로 선정하였으며 인공신경망 학습기간은 1991년~1995년, 검증기간은 1996년~2000년, 예측기간은 2011년~2100년으로 A1B, A2 B1 시나리오 등 다양한 기후변화 시나리오를 통해 예측band를 제시하고자 하였다. 하지만 공간상관을 고려하기 위하여 각 관측소에 대하여 인공신경망 학습을 하는 경우 관측소간 spatial correlation 및 spatial cluster구현이 어렵기 때문에 Spatial Rectangular Pulse모형을 이용하고자 하였으나, 강수면적에 대한 scale의 결정이 어렵다는 단점을 확인 하고 본 연구에서는 Random Cascade 모형을 이용하여 ${\beta}$를 통한 강수면적 scale(rainy area fraction)을 결정하고자 하였다. Random Cascade모형의 기법은 격자단위의 downscaling기법으로 강수대의 공간적 형상을 재현하며 스케일에 비종속적인(scale-invariant)프랙탈 특성을 이용하여 매개변수를 최소화 할 수 있는 장점을 가진 기법으로 한강유역 1Km내외 강우장을 만들어 topographic effect를 첨가하고자 한다.

  • Recently an extensive study of the mathematicians who have overcome the visually impaired and contribute to the academic in math was published. In the case of Korea, we can find there are mathematicians who have overcome physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy and polio. However there is no example of blind person who majored mathematics to become a mathematic's teacher or professor and have entered any mathematics related professions. This let us to study the reasons that caused difficulties to visually impaired students majoring in mathematics. We also suggest ways that may help blind students to have access to mathematics intuitively. In this study, we propose a tactile mathematics textbooks and teaching manuals utilizing 3D printing which the visually impaired students can touch and feel. We can supply such materials to visually impaired youth, special education teachers and parents in Korea. As a result, visually impaired students will be able to access mathematics easily and can build their confidence in mathematics. We hope that some blind students with mathematical talent do not hesitate to major mathematics and choose career in mathematical professions.

Development of Travel Time Estimation Algorithm for National Highway by using Self-Organizing Neural Networks (자기조직형 신경망 이론을 이용한 국도 통행시간 추정 알고리즘)

  • The aim of this study is to develop travel time estimation model by using Self-Organized Neural network(in brief, SON) algorithm. Travel time data based on vehicles equipped with GPS and number-plate matching collected from National road number 3 (between Jangji-IC and Gonjiam-IC), which is pilot section of National Highway Traffic Management System were employed. We found that the accuracies of travel time are related to location of detector, the length of road section and land-use properties. In this paper, we try to develop travel time estimation using SON to remedy defects of existing neural network method, which could not additional learning and efficient structure modification. Furthermore, we knew that the estimation accuracy of travel time is superior to optimum located detectors than based on existing located detectors. We can expect the results of this study will make use of location allocation of detectors in highway.

  • 최근 스마트 수도미터의 보급을 통해 수용가구별 물 사용 자료를 수집할 수 있다. 이런 수용가구별 물 사용 패턴은 주말, 날씨 등 다양한 요인으로 인해 비선형적 특성을 가지고 있다. 그로인해 전통적인 시계열 예측 모형인 ARIMA 모형으로 적용하기 어렵다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 딥러닝 기반의 LSTM 모형을 통해 수용가구별 물 소비량 예측 모형을 개발하였다. 이 모형은 비선형적인 물 소비 패턴을 학습하기 위해 다양한 변수를 고려하였다. 서로 다른 종류의 4개 type (A : 단독주택, B: 아파트, C: 음식점, D : 초등학교)의 수용가구에 대한 ARIMA 모형과 LSTM 모형을 개발하였고, 학습에 사용되지 않은 새로운 데이터를 적용하여 정량적으로 예측성능을 비교했다. 그 결과, 모든 수용가구에서 LSTM 모형이 ARIMA 모형보다 성능이 우수하였다 (상관계수 : 평균89% | RMSE : 평균 5.60m3). 따라서 본 연구에서 제안한 모형은 수용가구별 물 사용량을 예측하는데 높은 활용도를 보일 것으로 기대된다.

The study on the convergence relationship of emotional intelligence, learning flow and academic resilience of dental hygiene students (치위생과 학생의 감성지능과 학습몰입 및 학업탄력성의 융합적 관련성 연구)

  • This research has been conducted for the purpose of studying the relationships among emotional intelligence, learning flow and academic resilience of dental hygiene department students. The study involved in 319 students from 1st grade through 3rd grade in Daegu health college who filled out questionnaire in May, 2018. We are closely analyzed data using SPSS window ver.18.0. After analyzing the results, this report shows that there was a strong correlation among emotional intelligence, learning flow and academic resilience. In addition, the higher the level of emotional intelligence, the level of learning flow and academic resilience was also elevated. Therefore, this research suggests that the standardized programs and curriculum needs to be adopted in school.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect on the creativity and Usability of young Children by applying design education pro young Children gramfor using 3D printer to the kindergarten field and, through the results, to prepare a realistic way to increase the utilization of 3D printer media in infant classrooms. In order to achieve this research purpose, 38 infants aged 5 from G kindergarten located in metropolitan A are divided into each experimental group and comparative group, and from August 2017 to January 2018, data were collected through 15 experiments over a period of about 6 months. As a research tool, in the Korean version of Torrance's Creativity Test, an infant shape test and a usability test scale were used, and the data processing and analysis were conducted through technical statistical methods and covariance analysis. As a result of the study, the program using 3D printer had a statistically significant effect on promoting creativity and Usability of young Children, and in particular, it had a remarkable effect on the elaboration of creativity composition. Based on these results, discussions on the existing Nuri process, which mainly aims to cultivate creative talents, the possibility of connecting 3D printers more widely and the role of teachers were made.

A Design of Participative Problem Based Learning (PBL) Class in Metaverse (메타버스에서의 참여형 PBL 수업 설계)

  • Recently, as per a representative education method to develop core capabilities (such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity) problem based learning (PBL) has been widely adopted in universities. Two important features of PBL are 'collaboration between team members' and 'participation based self-directed learning'. These two features should be satisfied in online education, although it is difficult due to the limitation on space and time in the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper presents a new design of PBL class in Metaverse, based on improving the online PBL class operated in the previous semesters in the H university. In the proposed PBL class, students are able to display materials (e.g., image, pdf, video files) in 3D virtual space, that are related to problem solving. The 3D virtual space is called gallery in this paper. The concept of gallery allows for active participation of students. In addition, the gallery can be used as a tool for collaborative meeting or for final presentation. If possible, the new design of PBL class will be applied and its effectiveness will be analyzed.
