The aim of this study is to examine the effect of teaching profession class using gamification on the academic self-efficacy and learning flow of pre-service early childhood teachers. 75 freshmen in the 2022 Early Childhood Education Department at A University located in Gyeonggi were participated and experienced 8 gamification-using classes over 12 weeks of 1 st semester. To examine the effectiveness of the class using gamification on academic self-efficacy and learning flow, a paired t-test for the pre-post test was conducted by analyzing the data of 65 students who faithfully answered both tests. Results of this study illustrated teaching profession class using gamification significantly improved the academic self-efficacy and its sub-factor, confidence of pre-service early childhood teachers, moreover, it also had a positive effect on learning flow and its sub-factor, cognitive learning flow of them. This study proved the effectiveness of the gamification-using class and provided subsequent studies for improving the quality of the gamification-using class.

In this paper, to provide an idea for the 2022 revised mathematics curriculum by restructuring the content of the 2015 mathematics curriculum, the content elements of recurring decimals of textbooks, which showed differences in the curriculum of Korea and Japan, were analyzed. As a result of this study, in Korea, before the introduction of the concept of irrational numbers, repeating decimals were defined in the second year of middle school, and the relationship between repeating decimals and rational numbers was dealt with. In Japan, after studying irrational numbers in the third year of middle school, the terminology of repeating decimals is briefly dealt with. Then, when learning the concept of limit in the high school <Mathematics III> subject, the relationship between rational numbers and repeating decimals is dealt with. Based on the results of the study, in relation to the optimization of the amount of learning in the 2022 curriculum revision, implications for the introduction period of the circular decimal number, alternatives to the level of its content, and the teaching and learning methods were proposed.

Purpose : This study aimed to identify factors that influence selection of occupational therapy as a college major by freshmen. Methods : A survey was conducted on 308 freshmen majoring in occupational therapy from March 2022 to September 2022. The questionnaire consisted of five items about general characteristics, two about the choice of college and major, three about the timing of major selection, three about information acquisition, and one about the university application process. Results : While choosing a university, 37% of the students primarily considered the available choice of majors, whereas 41% considered the college application period. Employment rate was another important factor that was considered when choosing a department. Most students learned about occupational therapy through research on physical therapy and primarily gathered information by searching on "Naver and blogs." Among the descriptions of occupational therapy, the most interesting keyword was "hospital" (54 %). Conclusion : This study investigated the factors that influenced the college major selection by new students in the department of occupational therapy. This study provides meaningful basic data that can be referred to when promoting the department of occupational therapy. A limitation of this study is that a high percentage of students from Gyeongnam were included, and hence, further research that investigates according to region is needed. Moreover, detailed investigations on factors related to university applications in each region are required. It is also necessary to investigate the relationship between the characteristics of freshmen and the determining factors of the department and the admission process.

This study elucidates the achievement standards statements of the 2022 revised elementary school science curriculum to identify specific achievement standards for the upcoming curriculum. Therefore, the researcher analyzed the statements of the overall elementary school achievement standards based on Bloom's taxonomy of new educational objectives. The results are as follows. First, the achievement standards statements are biased toward certain knowledge and cognitive process dimensions; this aspect is not consistent with the goals of the 2022 revised curriculum and the teaching and learning directions of the science department. Thus, achievement standards that enable various types of activities and inquiry learning should be developed. Second, a need emerges for the hierarchization of knowledge and cognitive levels by grade level. The proportions of low levels of knowledge and cognitive process dimensions increased in the upper grades, such that a systematic hierarchy should be considered. Third, the need to diversify the use of the descriptors of achievement standards is also identified. Although the tendency to rely on specific descriptors decreased during the previous curriculum, approx imately half of the descriptors were only used once or twice. Therefore, balancing the use of various descriptors is necessary. To ensure that the results are reflected in the achievement standards for elementary school science textbooks under the revised science curriculum for elementary schools in 2022, a discussion is required on the design of achievement standards statements. As a follow-up study, the researcher proposes a comparative analysis of the achievement standards of science curricula for middle and high schools to explore the wording of achievement standards appropriate for elementary school science education considering its nature, goals, and contents and to analyze the hierarchy and continuity of the entire science curriculum.

코로나 팬더믹으로 인한 비대면 수업은 지속적인 운영을 통해 개선·발전되었다. 2022학년도부터 대면수업으로 전환되면서 온라인 플랫폼에 대한 적응력이 높아지고, 비대면 수업 경험이 축적된 학습자들을 위한 대면 수업의 변화가 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문은 프로그래밍 수업에서 비대면 방식과 대면 방식에 대한 경험이 있는 학습자들의 수업방식에 따른 만족도 및 의견을 조사·분석함으로써 서로 다른 두 방식의 장점을 활용한 수업모델을 모색하는데 필요한 학습자 의견 도출에 그 목적이 있다. 조사 결과, 학습자들은 대면 수업을 선호하나 비대면 학습경험이 많을수록 대면 수업에서의 단점을 비대면 수업을 통해서 해소할 수 있는 부분이 있음을 인지하고, 비대면 방식을 대면 수업에 활용하는 것을 긍정적으로 생각하는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 향후 대면 프로그래밍 수업에서 비대면 방식을 결합한 하이드리드 방식의 수업 운영을 통한 수업 효과 증진 모델이 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

Objectives: Our study aimed to investigate the relationship between the anxiety at first year and chronotype and sleep quality at third year in medical students. We also investigated the association between sleep quality, chronotype, depression and resilience at third year. Methods: Fifty two medical students (36 males, 69%, aged 21 ± 0.93) in first year, and forty four medical students (31 males, 70.5%, aged 23.05 ± 0.99) at third year answered Beck Depression Inventory 2, Beck anxiety inventory, Insomnia severity index-K, Composite scale of morningness and Conner-Davidson Resilience scale-10. Multiple linear regression analysises were performed to identify predictors of chronotype, sleep quality and resilience. Results: Higher anxiety (β = -0.434, p = 0.006) at first year was significant predictor of eveningness at third year, while lower anxiety score (β = 0.606, p < 0.001) at first year was significant predictor of sleep quality at third year. Lower sleep quality (β = -0.314, p = 0.042) and eveningness (β = 0.315, p = 0.041) were associated with low resilience at third year. Also, Lesser depression (β = -0.717, p < 0.001) was associated with higher resilience at third year. Conclusion: Our study showed that higher anxiety in first year had significantly related with eveningness and poor sleep quality at third year. In addition, higher sleep quality, morningness and less depression had significantly associated with better resilience at third year.

This study is a descriptive research study that attempted to investigate the effects of growth mindset and self-leadership on career preparation behavior of senior nursing students. The data collection period is from November 1 to 30, 2021, and the subject of the study is 173 nursing students from three universities located in G city and J province. For data analysis, t-test, ANOVA, descriptive analysis, Pearson's correlation, and controlled regression analysis were performed using the SPSS 26.0 program. As a result of the study, self-leadership(𝛽=.435, p<.001) and growth mindset(𝛽=.193, p=.005) had a positive effect on career preparation behavior and explained career preparation behavior by 32.0%. Therefore, it suggests that a practical strategy for cultivating self-leadership and growth mindset is necessary to promote career preparation behavior of senior nursing students.

An effective teacher community helps the participating teachers improve their instructional quality. This study reports a teacher community consisting of 15 elementary school teachers and one teacher educator. This paper analyzed 15 mathematics lessons in which the teachers implemented the five practices for orchestrating productive mathematics discussions by Smith and Stein (2018) based on the grade-specific discussions as well as the whole community's discussions. The results of this study showed that the overall levels of each practice either increased gradually or maintained at the highest Level 4, as mathematics lessons had been implemented. Specifically, the following practices were quite successful: setting goals for a lesson, selecting an appropriate task, anticipating student responses, and selecting student solutions. However, both sequencing and connecting student solutions were implemented at various levels. Monitoring student work tended to remain at Level 2 which included incorrect implementation of the practice. This paper closes with implications related to the skillful implementation of the five practices through a teacher community.

The purpose of the study is to develop a unit catalog system that can be linked with the curriculum. As for the research method, first, unit subject words were extracted through the analysis of middle school curriculum and science textbooks in all grades. Based on this, we designed a unit catalog system that has a unit book catalog by connecting books related to the unit topic of the subject, an index word catalog that organizes unit subject words into index words, and a grade and school level linked subject linked to the unit topic as a subsystem. Using the Notion program, a unit catalog system was implemented on the web using a middle school science unit 1 as a sample. To evaluate the system, experiments and surveys were conducted targeting students, and very positive results were shown in terms of satisfaction with the system and intention to use it in the future. Meanwhile, this study was limited to middle school science departments, but it was proposed to expand the application to all grades and subjects.

This study attempts to find out how science classes using VR content affect students' scientific attitudes and spatial senses. For 4th and 5th graders of an elementary school, a comparative class and an experimental class were set up for each grade, and a total of 11 classes were conducted for each grade. Before and after class treatment, pre- and post-tests were conducted on scientific attitudes and spatial sensations, and interviews with students were conducted during class. After all the classes for the research unit were completed, a survey was conducted to find out the changes in students' perceptions. As results of this study show, it was found that science classes applying virtual reality (VR) content have positive effects on students' scientific attitudes and spatial ability.
