  • Using the direct method, we prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of the orthogonally additive-quartic functional equation (0.1) $f(2x+y)+f(2x-y)=4f(x+y)+4f(x-y)+10f(x)+14f(-x)-3f(y)-3f(-y)$ for all $x$, $y$ with $x{\perp}y$, in non-Archimedean Banach spaces. Here ${\perp}$ is the orthogonality in the sense of R$\ddot{a}$tz.

  • In this paper we study general solutions and generalized Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of the following function equation $$f(x-\sum^{k}_{i=1}x_i)+(k-1)f(x)+(k-1)\sum^{k}_{i=1}(x_i)=f(x-x_1)+\sum^{k}_{i=2}f(x_i-x)+\sum^{k}_{i=1}\sum^{k}_{j=1,j > i}f(x_i+x_j)$$. for $k{\geq}2$, on non-Archimedean Banach spaces. It will be proved that this equation is equivalent to the so-called quadratic functional equation.

  • Let $n{\geq}2$ be an even integer. We investigate that if an odd mapping f : X ${\rightarrow}$ Y satisfies the following equation $2_{n-2}C_{\frac{n}{2}-1}rf\(\sum\limits^n_{j=1}{\frac{x_j}{r}}\)\;+\;{\sum\limits_{i_k{\in}\{0,1\} \atop {{\sum}^n_{k=1}\;i_k={\frac{n}{2}}}}\;rf\(\sum\limits^n_{i=1}(-1)^{i_k}{\frac{x_i}{r}}\)=2_{n-2}C_{{\frac{n}{2}}-1}\sum\limits^n_{i=1}f(x_i),$ then f : X ${\rightarrow}$ Y is additive, where $r{\in}R$. We also prove the stability in normed group by using shadowing property and the Hyers-Ulam stability of the functional equation in Banach spaces and in Banach modules over unital C-algebras. As an application, we show that every almost linear bijection h : A ${\rightarrow}$ B of unital $C^*$-algebras A and B is a $C^*$-algebra isomorphism when $h(\frac{2^s}{r^s}uy)=h(\frac{2^s}{r^s}u)h(y)$ for all unitaries u ${\in}$ A, all y ${\in}$ A, and s = 0, 1, 2,....

  • An iterative algorithm was been studied which can be viewed as an extension of the previously known algorithms for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings. Subsequently, we study the convergence problem of the proposed iterative algorithm for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings under some mild conditions in Banach spaces.

  • If H is a Hilbert space, then an operator $T : D(T) \subset H \to H$ is said to be monotone if $$ (x-y, Tx-Ty) \geq 0$$ for any x, y in D(T). Many authors [1], [4] obtained the existence theorem for the equation $y = x + Tx$ for x, given an element y in H and a monotone operator T. On the other hand some iterative methods were applied to the approximations for the solution of the above equation [6], [8]. For example Bruck [2] obtained the iterative solution of the above equation with an explicit error estimate as follows.

  • Let X and Y be Banach spaces and consider a linear operator $\theta : X \to Y$. The basic automatic continuity problem is to derive the continuity of $\theta$ from some prescribed algebraic conditions. For example, if $\theta : X \to Y$ is a linear operator intertwining with $T \in L(X)$ and $S \in L(Y)$, one may look for algebraic conditions on T and S which force $\theta$ to be continuous.

  • Let X be a real Banach space with norm ∥ㆍ∥. Let T > 0, r ≥a be fixed constants. We denote by L/sup p/ the usual L/sup p/( -r, 0; X) with norm ∥ㆍ∥/sub p/ for 1 ≤p < ∞. Our object is to study the existence of solutions of nonlinear functional evolution equations of the type (FDE) x'(t) + A(t)x(t) = G(t, x/sub t/), 0 ≤t ≤T, x/sub 0/ = ø.(omitted)

  • In this paper, we prove that under certain conditions the Ishikawa iterative method with errors converges strongly to the unique solution of the nonlinear strongly accretive operator equation Tx=f. Related results deal with the solution of the equation x+Tx=f. Our results extend and improve the corresponding results of Liu, Childume, Childume-Osilike, Tan-Xu, Deng, Deng-Ding and others.

  • In this paper, we propose a new subgradient extragradient algorithm for finding a solution of monotone bilevel equilibrium problem in reflexive Banach spaces. The strong convergence of the algorithm is established under monotone assumptions of the cost bifunctions with Bregman Lipschitz-type continuous condition. Finally, a numerical experiments is reported to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.
