  • The commutative product of the distributions $x^r lnx and $x^{-r-1}$ is evaluated for r=0,1,2,.... The commutative product of the distributions $x^rln(x+i0) and $(x+i0)^{-r-1}$ is also evaluated for r=1,2,.... Further products are deduced.

  • Let S be a commutative semigroup with 0 and 1. A proper ideal P of S is weakly prime if for $a,\;b{\in}S$, $0{\neq}ab{\in}P$ implies $a{\in}P$ or $b{\in}P$. We investigate weakly prime ideals and related ideals of S. We also relate weakly prime principal ideals to unique factorization in commutative semigroups.

  • Let R be a prime ring with characteristics not 2 and ${\sigma},\;{\tau},\;{\alpha},\;{\beta}$ be auto-morphisms of R. Suppose that $d_1$ is a (${\sigma},\;{\tau}$)-derivation and $d_2$ is a (${\alpha},\;{\beta}$)-derivation on R such that $d_{2}{\alpha}\;=\;{\alpha}d_2,\;d_2{\beta}\;=\;{\beta}d_2$. In this note it is shown that; (1) If $d_1d_2$(R) = 0 then $d_1$ = 0 or $d_2$ = 0. (2) If [$d_1(R),d_2(R)$] = 0 then R is commutative. (3) If($d_1(R),d_2(R)$) = 0 then R is commutative. (4) If $[d_1(R),d_2(R)]_{\sigma,\tau}$ = 0 then R is commutative.

  • In this paper we prove that with some hypothesis the set of k-isomorphism classes of simple closed k-surfaces in ${\mathbf{Z}}^3$ forms a commutative monoid with an operation derived from a digital connected sum, k ${\in}$ {18,26}. Besides, with some hypothesis the set of k-homotopy equivalence classes of closed k-surfaces in ${\mathbf{Z}}^3$ is also proved to be a commutative monoid with the above operation, k ${\in}$ {18,26}.

  • Let 𝓡 be a 2-torsion free unital ring containing a non-trivial idempotent. An additive map 𝛿 from 𝓡 into itself is called a Jordan derivable map at commutative zero point if 𝛿(AB + BA) = 𝛿(A)B + B𝛿(A) + A𝛿(B) + 𝛿(B)A for all A, B ∈ 𝓡 with AB = BA = 0. In this paper, we prove that, under some mild conditions, each Jordan derivable map at commutative zero point has the form 𝛿(A) = 𝜓(A) + CA for all A ∈ 𝓡, where 𝜓 is an additive Jordan derivation of 𝓡 and C is a central element of 𝓡. Then we generalize the result to the case of Jordan higher derivable maps at commutative zero point. These results are also applied to some operator algebras.

  • Let R be a commutative ring and let M be a GV -torsionfree R-module. Then M is said to be a $\omega$-module if $Ext_R^1$(R/J, M) = 0 for any J $\in$ GV (R), and the w-envelope of M is defined by $M_{\omega}$ = {x $\in$ E(M) | Jx $\subseteq$ M for some J $\in$ GV (R)}. In this paper, $\omega$-modules over commutative rings are considered, and the theory of $\omega$-operations is developed for arbitrary commutative rings. As applications, we give some characterizations of $\omega$-Noetherian rings and Krull rings.

  • Let R be a commutative ring and I its proper ideal, let S(I) be the set of all elements of R that are not prime to I. Here we introduce and study the total graph of a commutative ring R with respect to proper ideal I, denoted by T(${\Gamma}_I(R)$). It is the (undirected) graph with all elements of R as vertices, and for distinct x, y ${\in}$ R, the vertices x and y are adjacent if and only if x + y ${\in}$ S(I). The total graph of a commutative ring, that denoted by T(${\Gamma}(R)$), is the graph where the vertices are all elements of R and where there is an undirected edge between two distinct vertices x and y if and only if x + y ${\in}$ Z(R) which is due to Anderson and Badawi [2]. In the case I = {0}, $T({\Gamma}_I(R))=T({\Gamma}(R))$; this is an important result on the definition.

  • Let A be an algebra and D a derivation of A. Then D is called algebraic nil if for any $x{\in}A$ there is a positive integer n = n(x) such that $D^{n(x)}(P(x))=0$, for all $P{\in}\mathbb{C}[X]$ (by convention $D^{n(x)}({\alpha})=0$, for all ${\alpha}{\in}\mathbb{C}$). In this paper, we show that any algebraic nil derivation (possibly unbounded) on a commutative complex algebra A maps into N(A), where N(A) denotes the set of all nilpotent elements of A. As an application, we deduce that any nilpotent derivation on a commutative complex algebra A maps into N(A), Finally, we deduce two noncommutative versions of algebraic nil derivations inclusion range.
