A Study on Development of Early Childhood Teacher's Guidance Efficacy Scale (유아교사의 생활지도 효능감 척도개발 연구)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to develop a measure of the Early Childhood Teacher's Guidance Efficacy Scale based on guidance and teacher-efficacy theory. Methods: This subjects were 243 teachers in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Results: An exploratory factor analysis was conducted on the data collected of 4 factors, namely, guidance efficacy for problem behavior, children understanding, home-connected, basic life habits. In addition, there are significant positive correlations between the sub-area score and the overall in the early childhood teacher's guidance efficacy scale(r = .26 ~ .72, p < .001). Internal consistency and split-half reliability of each sub scale were reasonably accept. Conclusion/Implications: 'The guidance efficacy scale for early childhood teachers' developed in this study is an appropriate tool. Therefore, the developed scale can become a useful tool to measure the overall guidance efficacy level of early childhood teachers.

A Study on related factors of nursing students' self-efficacy, self-leadership and academic performance (간호대학생의 자기효능감, 셀프리더십 및 학업수행 관련요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study aimed to find the related factors of nursing students' self-efficacy(including general self-efficacy and social self-efficacy), self-leadership and academic performance. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0. The general self-efficacy scores of the subjects in who're admitted according to aptitude, higher school grades, extroverts, and higher leadership were significantly higher than those who weren't. The social self-efficacy scores were significantly higher in younger ages, extroverts and higher leadership. Self-leadership was higher in those who're admitted according to aptitude. Academic performance was significantly higher in the females and higher school grades. Social self-efficacy was positively correlated with self-leadership, and negatively with academic performance. Explanation rate of sex, general self-efficacy and social self-efficacy on academic performance was 10.5%. These results can be applied as a basis for developing guidelines of nursing students' self-efficacy, self-leadership and academic performance after repeated studies.

Relationship of Oral Health Behavior to Self-Efficacy among the Elderly (노인의 구강보건행동과 자기효능감의 관련성)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify general, physical, and social self-efficacy according to oral health behavior among the elderly and examine the factors affecting them. For this purpose, a survey was conducted in 500 persons aged 60 years or older residing in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province from June 1 to August 30, 2013. With the exception of 73 questionnaires that were not completed or contained insincere responses, 427 copies (recovery rate: 85.4%) were analyzed, thus obtaining the following results: 1) In terms of the respondents' socio-demographic characteristics, those who were younger, who were more highly educated, who were married, and who got a larger amount of monthly pocket money showed higher general, physical, and social self-efficacy, with statistically significant differences (p<0.001). 2) The group with good oral health behavior showed higher general and social self-efficacy and that with an average level of oral health behavior showed higher physical self-efficacy, with significant differences (p<0.001). 3) The factor most influential on oral health behavior was general self-efficacy (${\beta}=0.184$), followed by social self-efficacy (${\beta}=0.162$), physical self-efficacy (${\beta}=0.101$).

Influence of Efficacy, Job Satisfaction, and Job Performance by Peer Pressure among Hotel Chefs (호텔조리사 간의 동료압력에 의한 효능감, 직무만족, 직무성과의 영향관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect and difference of hotel chef's peer pressure on self-efficacy and collective efficacy, and to examine the relationship between job satisfaction and job performance. For the study, questionnaires were distributed to 6 hotels in Seoul and Busan, and 285 valid copies were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0. In the relationship between variables, collective efficacy was found to have a greater effect on peer pressure among collective efficacy and self-efficacy. And it was found that among self-efficacy, self-efficacy had a greater effect on job satisfaction, and this was collective efficacy due to peer pressure. It is judged that this is due to the professional characteristics and characteristics of the chef, where individual work and skills are important. Also, job satisfaction was found to have a positive effect on job performance. In conclusion, we suggested that these two dimensions of efficacy should be studied together and used in human care programs.

  • 테크놀로지의 발달에 따라 교육에서 테크놀로지의 중요성이 증가하였지만, 교사와 예비 교사의 테크놀로지에 대한 지식 부족으로 인하여 수업에 테크놀로지를 통합하는 것에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 Kim과 Lee(2018)은 프로그래밍 기반 TPACK 교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발한 TPACK 교육 프로그램은 예비 교사의 지식에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 연구는 진행되었지만, 예비 교사의 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 명확히 규명하지 못하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 세 집단의 예비 교사를 대상으로 ICT 기반 TPACK 교육, 프로그래밍 교육, 프로그래밍 기반 TPACK 교육 프로그램을 실시하고, 예비 교사의 일반적 자기효능감과 특수적 자기효능감 변화를 관찰하였다. 연구 결과, ICT 기반 TPACK 교육과 프로그래밍 교육을 받은 예비 교사는 자기효능감의 변화가 관찰되지 않았지만, 프로그래밍 기반 TPACK 교육 프로그램을 받은 예비 교사는 일반적 자기효능감과 특수적 자기효능감 모두에서 유의한 향상이 나타났다.

The Study on Relationship between Characteristics of Cultural Exchanges, Self-efficacy, and Cultural Competency of Nursing Students (간호대학생의 문화적 교류 특성 및 자기 효능감과 문화적 역량의 관계)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study aimed to find the relationship between characteristics of cultural exchanges, self-efficacy and cultural competence in Korean nursing students. Method: A total of 301 nursing students participated in this study. Data collection was conducted through the use of questionnaires which were constructed to include the General Self-efficacy Scale, the Caffery Cultural Competence Healthcare Scale(CCCHS), and the Cultural Competence Assessment(CCA). Result: Self-efficacy and cultural competency of participants in this study were shown to have moderate levels (Self-efficacy: M=3.0, SD=0.38; Cultural competency: M=2.8, SD=0.55). And the nursing students who have higher grade and foreign friends were found to have significantly higher self-efficacy and cultural competence. Moreover, there was a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and cultural competency (r=.394, p .001). Conclusion: The findings suggest that nursing students need to enhance cultural exchanges and self-efficacy to reinforce cultural competence.

The Relationship Between the Elderly's Ability to use Information Technology and Social Capital: Verification of the Mediating Effect of Digital Device use Efficacy (노인의 정보화기기 활용 능력과 사회자본의 관계: 디지털 기기 이용 효능감 매개효과 검증)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 노인의 정보화기기 활용 능력이 사회자본 형성에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 이러한 관계에서 노인의 디지털기기 이용 효능감이 갖는 매개효과를 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 2022년 실시한 디지털정보격차 실태조사 자료를 활용하여 SPSS 25.0 통계프로그램으로 개인의 인구사회학적특성, 정보화기기 중 PC, 모바일 기기 활용능력, 디지털기기 이용 효능감을 독립변수로 하고 노인의 사회자본을 종속변수로 하여 영향 관계를 분석하였다. 또한, 디지털기기 이용 효능감을 매개변수로 설정하여 노인의 정보화기기 활용 능력이 사회자본 형성에 미치는 영향에 매개효과가 있는지 검증하였다. 그 결과, 노인의 사회자본 형성에 미치는 영향 요인은 남성보다 여성의 사회자본 수준이 높았고, 나이가 많은 사람, 월평균 소득이 높은 사람, 다른 가족과 함께 거주하는 노인의 사회자본 수준이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 독립변수인 PC활용능력은 통계적으로 유의미한 영향이 없었고, 모바일기기 활용 능력과 디지털기기 이용 효능감이 높을수록 사회자본이 증가하는 것으로 분석되었다. 이후 노인의 정보화기기 활용 능력이 사회자본에 미치는 영향을 디지털기기 이용 효능감이 매개하는지 분석하기 위해 Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 3단계 모형으로 분석한 결과, pc활용능력 → 디지털기기 이용 효능감 → 사회자본에 이르는 경로와 모바일기기 활용능력 → 디지털기기 이용 효능감 → 사회자본에 이르는 매개효과 경로는 통계적으로 유의미한 결과로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 노인의 정보화기기의 접근성 향상을 위한 교육기관의 노력과 단순한 컨텐츠 위주의 교육에서 보다 실용적이고 즉시적인 교육 콘텐츠 전환 등 실천적 노력에 대해 제언하였다.

The Relationship between Child-Care Teachers' Job Stress and Belief of Teaching Efficacy (영아보육교사의 교수효능감과 직무스트레스에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between teacher's efficacy and job stress and the effects of educare center teacher's teaching efficacy on job stress. The subjects of this study were 200 teachers at the public, private, or home child-care centers in Pyeongtaek, Songtan and Osan. To analyze the general characteristics of subjects, frequency analysis and descriptives, ANOVA and correlation analysis, and multiple regression were used. The results of this study were as follows: First, educare center teacher's teaching efficacy level was a little higher than the average. The mean score of general belief of teaching efficacy was a little higher than the personal belief of teaching efficacy. Second, educare center teacher's job stress level show to be lower than average. Job related stress is the highest. Next is, the child related stress, personal related stress. Third, teaching efficacy significantly influenced on the job stress. The result indicated the higher educare center teacher's belief of efficacy was, the lower the job stress was. While general teaching efficacy was not associated with teaching efficacy, personal teaching efficacy was significantly related to teaching efficacy. The result of analyzing the effects of educare center teacher's teaching efficacy on job stress showed personal teaching efficacy had a strong influence on job stress. In detail, there was a significant negative correlation between personal teaching efficacy and job stress. Among the general factors such as the level of education, monthly income, work hours had significant influence on job stress. Therefore, the higher the level of education, the less monthly income, the longer work hours, it appeared that educare center teacher's job stress is higher.

Pre-service Science Teachers' Efficacy for Inclusive Practices (예비 과학교사의 통합교육 실천에 대한 교사효능감)

  • The demand for inclusive education in school settings has been constantly increasing. Yet, within the context of general subject teacher education, rather than special teacher education, preparation for this remains insufficient. This study aims to investigate and analyze the teacher efficacy for inclusive practices of pre-service science teachers with a focus on identifying differences based on respondent variables. In this research, teacher efficacy for inclusive practices is defined as self-belief in the ability to effectively teach students, including students with disabilities, in inclusive educational environments. It encompasses three sub-dimensions: efficacy in using inclusive instruction, efficacy in collaboration, and efficacy in dealing with disruptive behaviors. Utilizing data from 61 pre-service science teachers using 'Teacher' Efficacy for Inclusive Practices' survey tool, this study examines the distribution of teacher efficacy in inclusive practice across sub-dimensions and differences in distribution based on respondent background. The findings indicate that pre-service science teachers show a generally positive state across all three sub-dimensions, with efficacy to use inclusive instructions and efficacy in collaboration being the highest and efficacy in dealing with disruptive behaviors the lowest. he teachers' efficacy for inclusive practices of pre-service science teachers exhibited some tendencies of difference based on gender, experience with volunteering for individuals with disabilities, experience with inclusive education, and the extent of coursework in special education. However, none of these factors showed statistically significant differences.

Effects of Systems Thinking on High School Students' Science Self-Efficacy (시스템 사고가 고등학생의 과학 자기 효능감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of systems thinking on high school students' self-regulatory efficacy and self-confidence that constitute science self-efficacy. We set self-regulatory efficacy as a factor of students' systems thinking affects their self-confidence on science through self-regulatory efficacy. A total of 210 students were sampled from general high schools and 188 valid cases were analyzed. The instrument has 39 items that consist of 20 items measuring systems thinking and 19 items of science self-efficacy. The result of the exploratory factor analysis indicated that 20 items for systems thinking, 8 items for self-regulatory efficacy, 4 items for self-confidence are reasonable. Testing the goodness of fit of a structural equation model, it turn out to be appropriate (${\chi}^2$=344.498, df=242, TLI= .921, RMSEA= .044) using 24 items (mental model, personal mastery, systems analysis, self-regulatory efficacy, and self-confidence were constructed). In addition, the mental model, which is one factor of systems thinking, is mediated by self-regulatory efficacy that affects self-confidence directly and/or indirectly. The results suggest that systems thinking affects science self-efficacy directly and indirectly. Utilizing systems thinking in science education can produce a theoretical basis in improving students' confidence and self-efficacy about science.
