Suggestions from the Analysis of Factors to encourage the ICT Utilization in School (교사들의 ICT 활용 촉진 요인 분석 및 제언)

  • With changing to the new information technology society, education has also been urged to utilize the Information Ccmmunication Technology(ICT). Thanks to the recent efforts by the government, a large number of schools has been equipped with advanced educational technologies. While there has been a lot of studies on how to use ICT more effectively, relatively few is the studies about the activating factors of ICT utilization. More than often than not, those studies have been conducted about the survey of current situations of ICT utilization and have never had implemented based on the theory of diffusion of innovation. As a result, the current study surveyed the previous studies about encouraging and resistance factors of ICT utilization in light of the theory of diffusion of innovation and environmental encouraging factors by Ely. Then, the efforts were made to present suggestions to encourage the utilization of ICT in schools.

Diffusivities of Co-60 through the Clay with varying bulk density. (점토층의 밀도 변화에 따른 Co-60의 확산속도)

  • Diffusivity of ions of radioactive species is an important factor for designing radwaste repositories. Clay minerals are used as a backfill material. In this study, diffusion of Co-60 ions through the bentonite having various densities has been studied, using a diffusion cell. The measured diffusivities of Co-60 ions decreased as the density of bentonite increased. The diffusivity of Co-60 ion decreased from $8.79{\times}10^{11}m^2/s$ to $6.82{\times}10-13m^2/s$ as the clay dry bulk density increased from 0.41 to 2.03g/cm3. The diffusivity of Co ion was larger than that of Sr ion at low density, but the diffusivity of Co ion decreased rapidly as the density of clay increased and became smaller than that of Cs ion at high density. This phenomenon is thought to be caused by the rapid decrease of the fraction of mobile cation since the chemical combination of Co ions with oxygen or oxide on clay surface and the entrance of Co ions into the crystal structure of clay increase as the clay density increases. This change should be considered especially in designing the clay back fill for low and intermediate radwaste disposal facilities.

Improved Generalized Method of Moment Estimators to Estimate Diffusion Models (확산모형에 대한 일반화적률추정법의 개선)

  • Generalized Method of Moment(GMM) is a popular estimation method to estimate model parameters in empirical financial studies. GMM is frequently applied to estimate diffusion models that are basic techniques of modern financial engineering. However, recent research showed that GMM had poor properties to estimate the parameters that pertain to the diffusion coefficient in diffusion models. This research corrects the weakness of GMM and suggests alternatives to improve the statistical properties of GMM estimators. In this study, a simulation method is adopted to compare estimation methods. Out of compared alternatives, NGMM-Y, a version of improved GMM that adopts the NLL idea of Shoji and Ozaki (1998), showed the best properties. Especially NGMM-Y estimator is superior to other versions of GMM estimators for the estimation of diffusion coefficient parameters.

Study on Hindered Diffusion of Single Polyelectrolyte Chain in Micro-Pores by Employing Brownian Dynamics Simulations (브라운 동력학 시뮬레이션에 의한 미세기공에서 단일한 다가전해질 사슬의 제한확산 연구)

  • The hindered diffusion in confined spaces is an important phenomenon to understand in a micro-scale the filtration mechanism determined by the particle motion in membrane pores. Compared to the case of spherical colloids, both the theoretical investigations and the experiments on the hindered diffusion of polyelectrolytes is actually more difficult, due to lots of relevant parameters resulting from the complicated conformational properties of the polyelectrolyte chain. We have successfully performed the Brownian dynamics simulations upon a single polyeiectrolyte confined in a slit-like pore, where a coarse-grained bead-spring model incorporated with Debye-Huckel interaction is properly adopted. For the given sizes of both the polyelectrolyte and the pore width, the hindered diffusion coefficient decreases as the solution ionic concentration decreases. It is evident that a charge effect of the pore wall enhances the hindered diffusion of polyelectrolyte. Simulation results allow us to make sense of the diffusive transport through the micro-pore, which is restricted by the influences of the steric hindrance of polyelectrolytes as well as the electrostatic repulsion between the polyelectrolytes and pore wall.

  • The present work describes the capabilities of laser beam deflection (LBD) technique for the analysis of the stresses developed during hydrogen diffusion through Pd foil electrode. First, we explain briefly the elasto-diffusive (Gorsky effect) and diffusion-elastic phenomena. A model for the diffusion-elastic phenomenon is theoretically derived from the solution of the Fick's equation for given initial and boundary conditions, Vegard's second law and Hooke's law. Second, we introduce how to apply the principle of LBD technique to the study on the stresses generated during hydrogen diffusion. From the comparison of the deflection transients numerically calculated with those experimentally measured, we finally discuss the change in the tensile deflection with time in terms of hydrogen concentration profile transient and hydrogen diffusivity.

Proposal of Optical CDMA Routing Scheme for Radio Access Network (무선 액세스 네트워크를 위한 광 CDMA 라우팅 방식의 제안)

  • In this paper, we newly propose the optical CDMA routing scheme for the radio access network. At the radio base station (RBS), the received radio signals are multiplied by the PN codes and converted to the CDMA radio signals. In the next optical CDMAS are performed and multiplxed by using the PN codes which are the addresses of the routing mobile switching center (MSC). At the MSC, the CDMA radio signals are routined to another MSC by the CDM receiver at the routing node. In the case MSC is equal to the desired MSC, the radio signal is correlated by the two-layerd spectrum despreading at a time. Finally we theoretically analyze the signal-to-interference and noise power ratio of regenerated signal and the routing error probability and show the availability of proposed scheme.

Design and Performance Analysis of sliding correlator digital DS-SS Transceiver (슬라이딩 상관기를 적용한 디지털 직접대역확산 송수신기의 설계 및 성능분석)

  • In this paper, we design the sliding correlator SS transceiver which supports short message service. We also analyze the PN code acquisition circuit that is essential for spread spectrum receiver. Using Maxplus II tool provided by altera Co., Ltd, we have designed PN code generator, and sliding correlator for PN code acquisition. Then, they have been made into FPGA by way of EPM7064SLC44-10 - a chip of Altera Co., Ltd. Additionally, we have designed delay clock circuit which is faster than the clock of Tx PN clock, designed switching circuit to control the clock rate and data demodulation circuit. The performance of the transceiver is evaluated from the experimental results. Especially, the performance of PN code acquisition accomplished by sliding correlator which is very important to evaluate spread spectrum receiver is evaluated with the comparison of the lock states.

Application of Phase-Field Theory to Model Uranium Oxide Reduction Behavior in Electrolytic Reduction Process (전해환원 공정의 우라늄 산화물 환원 거동 모사를 위한 Phase-Field 이론 적용)

  • Under a pyro-processing concept, an electrolytic reduction process has been developed to reduce uranium oxide in molten salt by electrochemical means as a part of spent fuel treatment process development. Accordingly, a model based on electrochemical theory is required to design a reactor for the electrolytic reduction process. In this study, a 1D model based on the phase-field theory, which explains phase separation behaviors was developed to simulate electrolytic reduction of uranium oxide. By adopting parameters for diffusion of oxygen elements in a pellet and electrochemical reaction rate at the surface of the pellet, the model described the behavior of inward reduction well and revealed that the current depends on the internal diffusion of the oxygen element. The model for the electrolytic reduction is expected to be used to determine the optimum conditions for large scale reactor design. It is also expected that the model will be applied to simulate the integration of pyro-processing.

  • Considering the growing importance of TV favorite channel setting function due to the rapid increase of number of TV channels, this study tried to find factors which affect the attitude toward and intention to use the favorite channel setting function. As related theories, this study used theory of diffusion of innovation, channel repertoire, channel changing behaviors, and social influences and suggested research hypotheses and questions based on the theories. After collecting data through online survey of 192 general audience, this study empirically analyzed the data by using multiple regression analysis. The result showed that innate innovativeness, relative advantage and social critical mass affected attitude toward using the favorite channel setting function and that compatibility, visibility, social critical mass influenced intention to use the function.

  • This research attempts to analyse the 'Gangnam style' which has achieved worldwide recognition and became the first YouTube video to reach a billion views on December 2012, since it has released on 15th of July, 2012. Why 'Gangnam style' is so popular and how Cy's music video has spread across the world remarkably in very short period of time? It is suggested that the 'Gangsnam style' phenomenon can be explained by 'Kirtsch' and 'Meme', however there is no pertinent analysis in an academic way. In this respect, this research is concerned with addressing the 'Gangnam style', global cultural phenomenon, by the Kitsch related to the acceptance of global audience and the Meme engaged with global diffusion of music video in a cultural view. Therefore, this research reviews a broad range of literatures and seeks characteristics of two theories, on the ground of this, 'Gangnam style' will be investigated to verify the reason caused cultural phenomenon.
